Best of the series.
Though I didn’t fall in love with these two I was entertained.
Strong characters and enjoyable humour and action.
A bit slow on the romance side between Zoe and Miles. They have sex pretty early on but don’t really fall in love. They do snipe and torment each other nicely though as Zoe pursues Miles.
Loved Zoe’s positive thinking and her belief in what she could do for the pride and when she kicked Raptor butt, it was great.
Read through Kindle Unlimited.

Loved this whole series
But I'm hoping this isn't the end. The Bermin twins need stories too! This book technically doesn't occur in Cougar Falls but it's a great book nonetheless

Great story
Great story. . Miles and Zoe are two of a kind. Their egos are bigger than Florida. I don't know how they manage to interact with others, when they are 's perfect'. Loved their story and how instead of being annoying, their egos, managed to be funny and light. A great job Marie!

This is a well written story with awesome characters. I enjoyed in hearing about older characters. The characters in this story are awesome. I loved each of them. This one is different from the male dominated shifter stories. This is a well written story, and I would encourage everyone to get this one. This one is worth your time.

Woman power
Finally a shifter woman is shown as smart,funny,sexy and kick ass.Marie Haste shows that a woman / \shifter can be/ anything she wants to be. Love does not hold back from the true nature of the alpha inside the female shifter

The characters and the storyline were fantastic. Many books have great plots that aren’t fully fleshed out so this was a wonderful read for me. Would love more about this particular pride.

An inspiring story of a woman coming into her own
Full of angsty misunderstandings, Zoe and Miles’ relationship takes a while to gel. Both domineering characters, they both protect their hearts. Often witty, sometimes anger inducing, I really enjoyed this paranormal tale.

shifters full of ego
The two main characters were egomaniac, which is common for shifters, but there wasn't the contrast & humor on that I have experienced with other authors. Not my favorite. Also, "butt stuff", depending on how you feel about that.

It was such a quick read. Love the strength of the female characters but it was a little too sexual for my taste. I could do with a more literary meat.

Always fun
Marie has another hit on her hands. It was fun and snarky just like I like them. I love the strong characters.

Gobbled this one up! Full force of Cats and wonderful egos. Could not put this down. Each page pulling you in. Great story. Loved every delicious page.

I really enjoy the Cougar Falls series from Marie Harte and Prey & Prejudice was no exception.....
Zoe Castille is the little sister of Quince (who we met in his own story, 'By The Tail'). Miles Bermin is the older brother of Joy, who we also met in 'By The Tail' as she is the mate of Quince..... (BtT is another book that's worth a read!)
Miles is currently the Alpha of the Cougar Falls pride - a position he gained by default and not a role he would have chosen given the choice....
Newly returned to the pride and determined to lead them to happier times, Zoe expects nothing more than to step into her brothers shoes and take over as the alpha of the pride ~ not knowing that Miles and not Quince is in charge......
Both are as stubborn, arrogant and determined as the other and this leads to some power struggles between them - as you'd expect, these struggles eventually lead to some hot down & dirty scenes...... ;-)
The interactions between Miles & Zoe and the way she loves to push his buttons were great & to read fun!!! :D
The book has action, loads of heat & passion and some laughs... As ever we had great characters ~ old and new ~ and a healthy dose of nasty enemy shifters, this time in the form of some down right annoying raptors.
A great combination that all blended together to create another fab read from Marie.
If you're a fan of the series you won't be disappointed with Prey & Prejudice. If you're new to the Cougar Falls books check them out, they really are worth a look!!!!

I am in love with this series and also Marie Harte. Zoe and Miles were running away from each other from the very start and didn't really come together til the very end. I loved every hot minute of it!! I don't know if this series is going to continue on but if it does I will read everyone of them!!

I really enjoyed this series because they were well written and holds your attention from beginning to end. You won't be disappointed for starting this series because it keeps getting more intense, more exciting, and just more of everything. Very highly recommend?

I really had to force myself to get through it. Mainly because of the egos of the two main characters. I deal enough with that in real life, I don't need to spend my precious reading time dealing with such flawed folks!

Sorry leading lady was to "male" for me in this story. I do love alpha men and the strong women that finally "tame" them, but the story of Miles and Zoe....I forgot who was the man in this story..Miles or Zoe???

I love the sexy shifter Cougar Falls series, book 8 tells Miles and Zoe story. Exciting and fun, these two are wickedly wonderful together. A great storyline, addicting!!!

Nice connection to cougar falls. I love these books and can't wait for more. I really enjoyed how well it was written and I always love a strong woman who uses her mind and body to win.
