Wayfarer #18

Wayfarer Resolve

Rate this book
Out exploring their sectors of space, Adara settles into being Mathair Naclan - mother of the clans. At the home planets, Hal, Dimitri, and others cope with vandalism, sabotage, and racism. The Humans only group rises with violence and hate to attack the Wayfarers from within.

Sentenced to hard labor, prisoners are placed at Tom and Angeline’s manufacturing facility and Monroe’s mining operation. Though facing punishment for breaking the terms of being with the Wayfarers, Bernard Lundquist still runs operations on Hometown.

Bias within the Wayfarers and against the Wayfarers frustrates Adara as she and her admin council defend against the Humans only group. The family is threatened by the people Adara rescued. Can they find a way to peace or will the prejudice tear apart the connections Adara and the Wayfarers are making?

Excuse me while I cry like a baby

Son of a …. Dangit man I’m crying. I didn’t want it to end. The ending was happy, yet sad. I’m a mess. I absolutely loved this entire series. It was nearly impossible to put down. I feel as if I just lost my closest friends. Okay, I am going to attempt to pull it together here. Eileen deserves a fantastic review and so do Adara, Decker and the rest of the characters that grew to mean so much to me.
I don’t normally read a series this long. Most of the time I feel as if only one thing ever gets done in one book when they are this long. That is NOT this case with this one. So much happened in each and every book. I couldn’t put them down and read them in record time.
Adara, Decker and all of the other characters grew so much from start to finish. They overcame the challenges they faced, and did it with gace, integrity and a very high moral standard. I’m not sure I could be as moral as Adara. There were many times that I wished to see the old ways come into play. Especially with the Humans Only group. Kicking them out of a hatch would have been extremely satisfying. Wish I could have met all of Adara and Decker's children. The ones we do meet had so much personality. I never wanted this to end. Even if it was boring, I probably still would have read, just to keep the story going.
Eileen created such an intricate world. Most of the time I simply forgot that I was on Earth, and instead found myself entirely consumed by this story. This will be one of the harder series to see end. I feel as though I could read forever on Adara’s story. There is a lot to be learned from these books. I don’t think humanity will end up any differently. If we ever make it that far. We are killing our beautiful planet. We kill each other daily in wars and racial nonsense. We only have our one planet. I will truly miss these characters, but I know that I will come back time and time again to visit them.

I have to say I cried I few times while reading this book especially at the end I am going to miss them all it has been full off emotions, action and lots of love and lots and lots off babies and has been a rollercoaster ride right from the first book to the last book I would definitely recommend everyone read this series.

This book, wow. This book had me turning pages till I got to the end. I could not put it down and proceeded to finish reading it in one sitting. It moves along at a great pace which makes for a relaxing read. The characters are so real that you feel as though you know them personally and no matter what you want to be there for them. This book needs to be on your TBR list, there is no doubt about it.

This was an amazing end to the series. It’s packed full of action that makes all the issues in Hometown come to a head. I love the epilogue as well when you see a future generation learning about everything that happened as it gives you some answers about what happened to some races and people.

I enjoyed this series so much that I know I’m going to read it over and over again. If I could give it more than 5* then I would.

No! All good things must come to an end. I know but it feels like my heart is torn out. I've had a vacation and read the whole series. I'm in love with the caracters and it's a fantastic job Eileem did here. Decker, Adama and the rest. I'm gonna re-read this series soon. The ending is happy and sad at the same time. Don't wanna spoil too much but it's a must read series to me that has everything you need.
