Tác phẩm cũng quyến rũ không ngừng khi cho thấy cuộc sống người lớn nhiều lúc cũng chẳng quá phức tạp nếu nhìn bằng con mắt của một người không lớn.

Người anh không lớn đã nhận giải thưởng của Công ty đường sắt quốc gia Pháp SNCF 2005 cho hạng mục Sách thiếu nhi và Giải thưởng của học sinh phổ thông Đức tại Hội chợ Leipzig 2006.

Kitabı o kadar sevmedim, o kadar sevmedim ki; kitap okumak boş oturmaktan, tv izlemekten daha iyidir tezimi bile çürüttü yemin ederim.

Początek był ciężki. Za dużo było tego nazywania Bystrzaka głupkiem, oceniania. Ale bardzo podobało mi się, jak bohaterowie tej książki się zmieniają, dojrzewają. Bo łatwo powiedzieć „ja bym osobę upośledzoną umysłowo szanowała”, ale życie często pokazuje co innego. I tak książka tą swoją prawdziwością, niekomfortową dla czytelnika, bardzo mnie ujęła.

Ce livre m'a mise extrêmement mal à l'aise...
On voit clairement qu'il date de 2004 parce que certains propos sur les femmes ou sur les religions sont juste choquants.

Je comprends qu'il ait eu du succès, que ce soit un "classique" de la littérature jeunesse mais je ne comprends pas qu'il ait été réédité en édition collector CETTE ANNÉE.

Simple aborde des thèmes importants mais la façon dont ils sont abordés éclipse le message qui voulait être passé et c'est dommage...

Je ne conseille pas du tout ce livre et ça me fait du mal qu'il se retrouve de nouveau mis en avant par la réédition... Et j'espère sincèrement que les plus jeunes qui tomberont sur ce livre et le liront sauront faire la part des choses et se rendront compte que certains propos ne sont pas acceptables.

Parmi les trucs qui m'ont choquée : absence de consentement, objectification de la femme, personnages féminins TRÈS stéréotypés, conseils sur "comment séduire une femme" tout droits sortis de la pré-histoire, blagues et remarques déplacées sur l'islam... et j'en passe.

I was not comfortable reading this book, esp. the language, 'retard' 'simple' 'idiot' to refer to the brother. One character using force to get the girl, then having it work. Too many characters, most not well rounded. I blamed the translation, maybe it read better in the original French, but somehow I doubt it.

Đọc trong hai, ba ngày, thậm chí chỉ cần một ngày, là có thể đọc xong cuốn sách này. Nội dung truyện rất đơn giản, dễ hiểu và những câu văn ngắn gọn nhưng vẫn chất chứa đủ ý nghĩa. Cuốn sách là tập hợp những cuộc phiêu lưu phi thường của người anh Simple bị thiểu năng cùng ngài thỏ bông Pinpin của anh. Cũng không thể không nhắc đến Klébel, người em trai 17 tuổi rất có trách nhiệm và yêu thương anh vô cùng. Và càng không thể không kể đến nhóm những người bạn cùng chung phòng trọ của Klébel và Simple là những con người tốt bụng nhất, vui vẻ nhất, cùng với ông già hàng xóm Villededieu trông khó tính thế thôi mà cũng tử tế lắm!

Mặc dù là những cuộc phiêu lưu nho nhỏ của Klébel và Simple nhưng tất cả hoàn thiện cho một cốt truyện hoàn chỉnh, có đầu, thân kết. Lẽ dĩ nhiên, đây là một câu chuyện với cái kết có hậu, nơi mọi nhân vật đều thỏa mãn, tìm ra hạnh phúc của mình. Khi Klébel và Simple tới xin trọ cùng Enzo, Corentin, Aria và Emmanuel, họ không biết rằng anh chàng thiểu năng lớn tướng cùng ngài Pinpin có thể thay đổi cuộc đời họ thế nào, và họ càng không biết đươch rằng Simple sẽ trở thành một phần không thể thiếu trong cuộc đời họ.

Simple, đúng với cái biệt danh của anh, suy nghĩ giản đơn ngây thơ, có người bạn thân thiết duy nhất là con thỏ bông, Ngài Pinpin với những tính cách như một con người thật. Cậu thể hiện bản chất người lớn của mình qua ngài Pinpin, đồng thời vẫn giữ được nét tính cách trẻ con của mình. Ngài Pinpin trở thành một nhân vật quan trọng trong đời sống của các nhân vật trong truyện. Nói đến Simple là phải nói đến con thỏ bông đặc biệt này. Tuy vậy, dù Simple có trẻ con, ngây thơ thế nào, cậu cũng biết cách thể hiện tình cảm của mình, và cậu có những cảm xúc mãnh liệt như việc sợ phải vào trung tâm Malicroux, nơi chăm sóc những người bệnh tâm thần, hay việc cậu ghét bố mình, hay việc cậu rất yêu thương Klébel. Cậu có thể không suy nghĩ chín chắn (đây là nhiệm vụ của ngài Pinpin), nhưng cậu thật lòng, thẳng thắn, không biết nói dối. Đây có lẽ là tính cách hiếm hoi ta ít thấy ở thế giới hiện đại này, khi con người với nhau luôn giấu diếm, nói dối nhau. Simple hiện lên giữa đám đông lúc nhúc của những người trưởng thành. Cậu bộc lộ suy nghĩ qua góc nhìn đơn giản của mình bằng cách tóm gọn lại những sự thật hiển nhiên, tối giản đến độ mình phải thốt lên, tại sao không nói thẳng ra như Simple để cuộc đời bớt phức tạp đi? Có lẽ ai cũng nên giữ lại một phần trí óc của đứa trẻ lên ba để hiểu được rằng, sống không cần thiết phải quan trọng hóa nó lên, tất cả thực ra vô cùng đơn giản.

Bên cạnh đó là những vấn đề yêu đương, ghen tị, tình bạn của những người sống cùng căn hộ và cả chuyện tình tay ba của Klébel. Tất cả đều có sự hiện diện của Simple và ngài Pinpin. Và cũng nhờ Simple mà các nhân vật trở nên gắn kết, thân thiết với nhau như thể họ là cùng một gia đình vậy.

Đây là một cuốn sách đáng đọc, đáng để suy ngẫm, nhưng cũng rất hài hước và không kém phần gay cấn, hồi hộp nhé!

I recently read 'My Brother Simple' by Marie-Aude Murail. It is about a teenage boy named Kleber Maluri who is looking after his brother, Simple, so Simple doesn't have to go into a institution. I wanted to read this book because I personally don't know anyone with learning difficulties and I was curious to know how others feel about it and how they cope.

This book fits in the category of 'A book with a male main character'. I found this category very interesting because usually I only read books that have a girl main character. This is because I can relate to them more and I find them more personal, but, I thoroughly enjoyed this book as it was touching, gripping and also very humorous.

I didn't really have any favourite quotes in this book but I had a favourite scene. The scene was set in the flat where Kleber and Simple were staying, it was in the morning with Simple and Aria. Aria is one of the university students that also stays in the apartment. They were both having breakfast when simple started to use spoons to tell his childhood story, how he hated the institution and was so happy when his brother rescued him from it. It was such a sweet scene and really made you think about how positive he was even though he had to deal with such a hard thing is his life. It brought tears to my eyes and it was truly unforgettable and well written.

From this book I learn't that you shouldn't care about what people think of you and you should keep your head up, stay strong and do what you think is right. Also don't judge others because of something that is wrong with them, for example learning difficulties, because they might actually be an amazing person with a huge heart.

The character in this book that interested me was Kleber because even though he put so much effort into looking after his brother he still had a life of his own. Also he always put his brother first and made sure he was ok as well as being strict and trying to teach him how to behave and be kind to others.

Une écriture toujours aussi agréable, des personnages extrêmement attachants et très dur de reposer le livre. Néanmoins les clichés sexistes... tous les personnages féminins sont décrites comme des allumeuses et la notion du consentement est clairement survolée ce qui m’empêche d’apprécier à 100% l’histoire... Non mettre une robe à épaule dénudée ne fait pas de nous une « petasse » et non une fille qui refuse des avances n’est pas une incitation à continuer l’acharnement (le couple Aria-Enzo a bcp de potentiel mais le début de leur amourette n’est pas vraiment sain)

Đáng yêu, tác giả khắc họa chàng trai thiểu năng trí tuệ rất chân thật và sống động. Marie-Aude Murail có lẽ rất quan tâm đến số phận những đứa trẻ mồ côi, mà sự quan tâm che chở của những người xa lạ bỗng nhiên mang lại hơi ấm kỳ lạ mà "Oh boy" và cuốn này là ví dụ.

To taka książka dla młodzieży bez słodzenia. Prawie trafiła na listę książek, których jednak nie chcę czytać, ale cieszę się, że tak się nie stało. Tytułowy Bystrzak to bardzo sympatyczna postać. Za to wątki romantyczne były tragiczne.

Schwer zu bewerten. Einerseits mag ich es total. Andererseits hat mich auch vieles gestört (zum Beispiel die Art und weise, wie über Mädchen gesprochen wurde. Das war irgendwie seltsam). Von daher gebe ich mal 3/5 ⭐️
Ich habe das Buch vor 4 Jahren schon mal gelesen und da ist mir das gar nicht aufgefallen..

Engelli kardeşe sahip olma konusunda yazılmış "eğlenceli" bir hikayeydi, zihinsel engeli olan "Basit" ile ona abilik yapan abisinin 4 öğrencinin yaşadığı eve taşınmaları ile ve ilk aşklarla ortalık iyice karışır. Yazarın diğer kitaplarını da merak ettim ama "derhal" okuma ihtiyacı da duymadım :)

Trochę mnie dziwi, że książka z założenia ma uczyć nastolatków tolerancji, a sama używa słów które są obecnie uważane za obraźliwe. „Niedorozwinięty”, czy nawet „debil” padają tutaj często z ust postaci które mamy postrzegać jako pozytywne. Do tego denerwowało mnie stereotypowe spojrzenie na relacje damsko-męskie, min. wybór tej „grzecznej” dziewczyny i ciągłe nagabywanie (również fizyczne) innej by ta zgodziła się być z jednym z bohaterów. To wszystko sprawiło, że myślałam że książka została napisana w latach 90 i niezmiernie zdziwiłam się jak zobaczyłam datę wydania: 2018.

Jednak sam główny bohater zostaw przedstawiony bardzo ciepło. Sposób jego funkcjonowania jako osoby z niepełnosprawnością umysłową został opisany bardzo wiarygodnie i głównie dla tej postaci będę polecać lekturę „Bystrzaka”.

Kleber Maluri is 17 and lives in Paris. His brother Barnaby, known to everyone as Simple, is 22, but has a mental age of about 3, and is inseparable from his soft-toy companion, Mister Babbit. Simple was in a institution called Malicroix, but Kleber knows how unhappy Simple is there, and decides he will look after his brother himself, as their mother has passed away and their father has a new life and is not interested in taking an active role caring for the two brothers.

Kleber has his own hopes and dreams, of completing his second year of sixth form, going to University, meeting a girl and falling in love, but above all he cares deeply for his brother and how he is treated, despite the awkward situations that Simple invariably gets himself, or them both, into, as a result of his learning difficulties. Kleber finds a flatshare in the city where they can both live, and the other flatmates all react differently to Simple, but slowly he will come to influence and change all of their lives.

This is a heart-warming, kind-hearted and moving tale, with a great young cast of characters. It is deftly written, a quick read on the surface, but with clever humour, sadness, and through the portrayal of Simple's character and the way he interacts with and observes others, the author shrewdly reveals the truth about these people. My Brother Simple is actually a telling exploration of the quick judgments we can make about people and the truth that lies beneath our assumptions. It is an immensely enjoyable and rewarding novel and I would recommend it to young adult readers and older readers too.

My Brother Simple was a bestseller in France, and won the Prix SNCF du Livre de Jeunesse, and in Germany it won the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis.

Κάποτε σε μια σειρά στην τηλεόραση των παλιών καλών εποχών είχα ακούσει την εξής φράση:

"Το πιο καταπληκτικό και περίεργο δεν είναι να διαπιστώνεις πόσο διαφορετικός είναι ο καθένας μας. Το πιο σπουδαίο συμπέρασμα είναι να διαπιστώνεις πόσο ίδιοι είμαστε."

Την χρησιμοποίιω σπάνια στη ζωή μου αλλά είμαι σίγουρη ότι θα μπορούσε να "ντύσει" αυτό το βιβλίο.

Πόσο πιο όμορφο θα ήταν αν δίναμε στους διαφορετικούς ανθρώπους το προσωνύμιο : Οι άνθρωποι οι έτσι απλά;.

Να σταματήσουν να είναι οι στιγματισμένοι της κοινωνίας.
Να είναι οι απλοί οι άνθρωποι οι έτσι απλά..


Το μυθιστόρημα αυτό είναι ένας ύμνος στην διάφορετικοτητα και στην αγάπη που κρύβεται στα άτομα που είναι ευλογημένα να έχουν το χρήσμα αυτο.

Ο Έτσι απλά είναι ένα παιδί με διανοητική υστέρηση.
Συμπεριφέρεται σαν παιδί τριών ετών και ας είναι 22 άλλες πάλι φέρεται πιο λογικά και πιο σοφά ακόμη και εμάς τους " κανονικούς"

Ο αδελφός του Έτσι απλά ο Κλεμπερ είναι ένα παιδί μόλις 17 ετών που προσπαθεί μέσα στη τρέλα της ενηλικίωσης και των αναγκών του να ανταπεξέλθει και στις ανάγκες του αδελφού του.
Όμως τα πράγματα δεν είναι εύκολα.
Με ένα πατέρα απών και μια μητέρα που έχει φύγει από την ζωή ο μικρός αδερφός είναι υπεύθυνος για την ζωή του Έτσι απλά και του Πανπον ενός λούτρινου τεράστιου λαγού που μιλάει.

Όταν όμως ξεκινούν την συγκατοίκηση με 4 νέους φοιτητές τα πάντα αλλάζουν στην ζωή και των δύο μα περισσότερο στην ζωή των άλλων και όχι του ίδιου του έτσι απλά.

Οι συγκάτοικοι του αλλάζουν.
Ο έτσι απλά τους βγάζει μια άλλη πλευρά του εαυτού τους.

Έρωτες έρχονται στην επιφάνεια, χαρακτήρες αλλάζουν. Σκέψεις που γίνονται πιο φωτεινές.
Και αγάπη μπόλικη τρυφερή χρυσόσκονησμενη αγάπη που έρχεται από τον Έτσι απλά και γεμίζει όλο το κόσμο ακόμη και εκείνους τους πιο σκληρόυς ανθρώπους.!!

Η συγγραφέας με μια απλή γραφή που είναι γεμάτη από τρυφερότητα, χιούμορ αλλά και αγάπη δίνει στον αναγνώστη με μια διαφορετική προσέγγιση να αισθανθεί και να βιώσει αυτές τις αλλαγές των ηρώων μα περισσότερο μας δίνει το βήμα για να καταλάβουμε τους διάφορετικους όμορφους αυτούς ανθρώπους μέσα από ένα παραμύθι, μέσα από μια αστεία ιστορία.

Είμαι σίγουρη ότι κλείνοντας το βιβλίο θα αισθανθείτε και εσείς έτσι απλά.
Διαφορετικοί μέσα σας, ίσως λίγο πιο άνθρωπινοι.
Σίγουρα όμως θα νιώσετε την λάμψη του άστρου αυτού του ανθρώπου.
Άλλωστε τα παραμύθια καμία φορά λένε αλήθεια και αυτό σίγουρα λέει πολλές.
Και αν είστε τυχεροί ίσως ακούσετε και τον Κύριο Πανπον να γκρινιάζει..

Un magnifique roman dont l'antihéros est un jeune homme de 22 ans avec un âge mental de 3. C'est touchant, très juste, très beau.
Mon seul bémol concerne une histoire secondaire dont la conclusion est : si tu insistes à fond, une femme cédera à tes avances... On aime un peu moins. Un avertissement à ce sujet expliquant que le harcèlement c'est moyen serait appréciable. Pour le reste, Marie-Aude Murail est une magnifique conteuse.

Musste dieses Buch eigentlich für die Schule lesen, aber oh mein gott… ich habe es so unglaublich geliebt! 😭 Die Found-Family-Vibes sind einfach alles, die Charakterentwicklungen sind so gut geschrieben und paar Szenen haben mich fast zum heulen gebracht. Einfach ein unglaublich berührendes Buch, über so ein unglaublich wichtiges Thema – hätte nie gedacht, dass mich ein Schullektüre so packen könnte, vor allem eine deutsche 💀

A very sweet, simple story about love, family, compassion, and empathy. I think perhaps because it was translated from French the original richness of the writing might have been slightly diluted (which could of course have also been the result of a story-telling choice), but it was still a well woven story, and I did cry at the end.

Con Marie-Aide Murail si piange ridendo. La sua scrittura sa sempre trattare temi tosti con un tono lieve tale da ispirare un misto fra compassione e tenerezza. In "Oh boy!", il suo romanzo più noto, ci ha parlato di abbandono, adozione e tumore, in "Cécile" di razzismo e multiculturalismo, e qui accoglie la sfida di un'altra onerosa tematica sociale, l'handicap. I protagonisti di questo romanzo, infatti, sono due fratelli: Kléber, il minore, e Barnabie detto Simple. Simple ha 23 anni e il cervello di un bambino di 3 che si relaziona al mondo con la stessa semplicità e ingenuità richiamate, appunto, dal soprannome. Per risparmiare a Simple l'istituto a cui il padre l'aveva destinato, Kéber decide di occuparsene personalmente e, quando i due trovano una stanza in affitto in una appartamento di giovani universitari, Simple diventa, suo malgrado, simpatico perno e testimone delle disavventure e dei sentimenti che smuovono tutti i personaggi. Finchè accadrà qualcosa che, forse, cambierà il corso degli eventi. Per Simple non si prova pena, ma solo una grande, immensa voglia di abbracciarlo, di raccontargli della vita, di ridere con lui, e con il coniglietto che si porta sempre appresso, il Signor Migliotiglio, che compare anche in copertina e in retrocopertina (trasmettendo un'immediata ondata di dolcezza) e che, in fondo, altro non è che il suo alterego, al quale egli si rivolge nei suoi momenti di apparente assenza dalla realtà. E viene voglia anche di ascoltarlo. Perchè Marie-Aide Murail dimostra questo: che da un ritardato mentale si impara molto sulla vita, su noi stessi, sugli altri, che grazie a un ritardato mentale si può migliorare, rendersi felici, consapevoli di fare del bene, nonostante tutte le difficoltà logistiche che la vita ci sbatte in faccia. E che l'amicizia e la solidarietà (perchè del resto è questa che dimostrano tutti i personaggi) sono fra i beni più preziosi che possiamo ricevere e dare.
Insomma, un libro che è una tenera storia, e una bella lezione di vita.

ÉNORME COUP DE COEUR !!!!

Vraiment vraiment vraiment. C'est si.. simple à lire, a aimer,... L'histoire en elle même est a là fois simple et compliquée. Simple parce que c'est pour les enfants, ou du moins écrit comme pour les enfants, mais compliqué dans le fond. Parce que la vie de Simple et Kléber n'est pas si facile, il y a des intempéries partout, des méchants partout, des remarques blessantes partout.

J'aime de tout mon coeur Simple, Kléber, Aria, Enzo, Zahra et Corentin.

Ce livre n'est tout simplement pas simple à fermer.

Me encantó la historia, como se trata el tema de cuidados y la relación de Simple con las demás personas.
Creo que es muy valioso este tipo de historias donde no se es condescendiente con las personas que tengan alguna discapacidad ni con su entorno.
