Very interesting reading. It shows a Tokyo in the 60s, from which time drastic changes began and forged the Tokyo we know now. Having lived in Tokyo myself for some time (though shorter than I wished), I find the comparison between the past and the present very interesting. For instance, the river, which is a few meters from where I lived, used to be the transportation hub. Now it's only ~2 meters wide and doesn't serve such purpose anymore. Among many other factors, Tokyo Olympics was a strong force for changes. While 2020 is under the way, what more changes will it bring this time? One thing we know for sure is Tsukiji Fish Market will move to a new place after several decades.
