I can't express how I was excited for this book. I loved first book in this series, Hellhound, so have more of this world... Yeah, it's heaven. Or hell. Or both, considering both are involved in this story.
So, practically story continues where first book left. So, you do need to read the first book, because while each book is about different couple, the story evolves around them all. They all are important. Even more so, now that we are allowed a glimpse into what really is going on. So, start where it all begun is important.
Talking about this book couple, Tessera and Jagger... I loved them together. The possessivnes, loyalty, love, devotion and more surrounding them was beautiful to watch.
And while, I was excited for this book, now I'm dissapointed that I read it already, because I need the next book ASAP. And I have to wait. Nooooooo! The waiting will kill me, because I got a feeling that the next book will be my fav.

I love Paranormal and vampires are my favorite. I love MC stories. Esther Schmidt has taken all of the above and created a fantastic story that I couldn't put down.
Jagger I fell HARD for this patient, sensitive, protective, hot as hell, but above all loving Vampire. He loved her fiercely at first sight but gave her time to adjust to a whole new life before making my Kindle smoke. Yep Hot as Hell barely touches it!
Tessera was snatched up and thrown into a world that was completely unknown to her. Watching her learn, stumble and come out with amazing strength was fascinating to read.
Seriously! This book was everything a romance, action packed and the epic battle of good vs evil. It nailed them all! I am a bit blown away by it.

You can’t get much better than this book Vampires and MC in one very amazing brilliant story. Esther E Schmidt has combined two great genre’s to make one amazing series, this one is about Jagger the president of the Death by Reaper MC who finds his mate Tessera. The story is full of action, romance, mystery and love. I enjoyed this book so much, it left we wanting more. I know anytime I read a book by Esther I’m in for a treat. From start to finish this story is full of sexy vampires, demons and story Fae, Elite and witch women who are strong and hold there own in a fight.

WOW JUST WOW! I absolutely love this book. Everything about this book is awesome. Jagger is a Vampire and a pure alpha one too, who finds his mate in Tessera, these two together are explosive. This story was so fascinating it held my attention from the beginning to end I did not want to put it down. It had action it had drama it had all the good sexiness that one loves in a book. The story was simply amazing .I mean she just put this book together so well that you almost believe it I mean you felt like you were there like you were living in this world and the storyline was just awesome. I just cannot say enough good about this book ,Esther has the most creative mind when it comes to writing stories that I have ever read I love her books and this one is probably the top of my list course I say that about every book that she puts out that's how good it is .simply amazing . Vampires, hellhounds, demons,witches ,Angel you name and it's here, awesome awesome awesome awesome. Read it go ahead I dare you and I know you'll fall in love with it just as much as I did

Heck yeah, she did it again! This author is the queen of fantastic MC reads and this book helps prove that point. The story is released at the perfect time, because this is the ultimate Halloween MC read. Not just for the holiday, though, this supernatural story is filled with amazing characters, a fun plot, and new and exciting ideas.
Starting off where book one, Hellhounds left off; this story jumps right into the action and heat. I loved the well developed plot, the details in the mythology and the beloved characters. This story has the perfect balance of action, MC, mythology and romance. I cannot get enough!
If you have read Hellhounds you will instantly love this book, and if you haven't I strongly recommend it. If you read them in order or not (I highly recommend it), just make sure you read them, you don't want to miss out!! I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review.

Death by Reaper MC is a very interesting series, I said this when I reviewed the first book, Hellhounds. This paranormal series is very different, and by this I mean great! Esther has managed to combine many types of paranormal creatures and it just works. This time we have vampires....and also a bit of angel thrown in there. Tessera has been kidnapped and found out she is living in a paranormal world she knew nothing about. Her mate, Jagger, is trying to get her to understand it all while impatient to claim his 1 true love. AND there is also a huge war about to start in their world and peril is everywhere!! WOW! This is an action packed book that has soooo much going on and so many places to go! The book is superbly well written and manages to not make it all ridiculous, amazing read!!!! I love this series!!!

Oh Wow.... Jagger Holy Smoke Can you say HOT VAMPIRE:
I loved this book, Jagger was sweet, hot, and totally alpha. And I loved that this book just picked up from the previous one. And Jagger didn't rush her at all he just spent time with her, getting to know her and teaching her about everything paranormal.
The action and steaminess didn't stop from the first page until the end. And man this just gets better, Tessera doesn't even know her heritage and because of who her parents were nobody knows how this will affect the balance between good and evil, heaven and hell.
So sad it was so short and now I need to wait for the next book to be released!! Man!!!

I love the pnr genre so adding one of my other favourite genres to mix Mc it’s like a bit of heaven to me. Not only do you just get hot alpha bikers but their hot sexy alpha paranormal bikers like Hellhounds vampires Demons and everything in between.
i absolutely loved Jagger and Tessera story talk about diving straight into there storyline it was fast paced from the first page. while it is fast paced it doesn’t take from the storyline at times it had me holding my breath and kept me on the edge of my seat right till the end.
The chemistry between Jagger and Tessera was off the charts. i loved how protective they were of each other and those closes to them. we get to meet some great new characters and learn some of there story but also get to meet characters who’s stories are yet to be told.
what can i say except if you love Pnr and Mc reads then this book and series are definitely a must read. And if you haven’t read anything from Esther E Schmidt and are on the lookout for a new to you author i can honestly highly recommend her books with each book she writes and i read from her i become more addicted .

Vampires had me swooning over Jagger with Tess. Their bond was amazing and I love how Jagger knows to not overwhelm Tess anymore than needed, giving her time and space to deal with everything bombarding her at once. Esther truly is able to create such intense stories and intertwine MC and paranormal together seamlessly. I'm a huge fan of her MC books and I don't read paranormal very much BUT she now has me HOOKED on this series! I can't wait to see how Vike and the twins get along! If you love something a little different full of passion, grit, hot sex and suspense then this is for you.

This series is perfect if you are looking for a short, but with enough of everything to make it worth reading. The characters are well done and the plot is perfect for a quick read.

Esther again did an amazing job bringing to life the paranormal world in this book once again. While reading this book I felt like I was truly there experiencing everything the characters were going through from beginning to end. She described everything the characters were going through and I could picture everything in my mind just from her descriptions. This book was also so much more then just two people finding their eternal mates such as Jagger and Tessera. It was about sisters coming to together and forming an incredible bond that no one can break and the love these sisters have for each other no matter what they go through. This book was full of action and love. We got to see past characters from Hellhounds as well as new characters being introduced as well. I loved how much Jagger loved Tessera from the beginning and will stand by her through centuries to come. Esther not only gave us the main characters falling in love but also the VP of the Vampires, Caius and his eternal mate Nixie finding each other as well. Plus Caius in the beginning when talking with Tessera was so funny I could not stop laughing, especially when she thought of what she wanted to do to him when he pissed her off! I am still blown away by how amazing this book was and how it sets us up for the next book in the series, Vike and Tria's story. Also I cant wait to find more about Tria's twin sister Dio and the half Dragon sister!!

And she does it again with the second book in the series. Esther E Schmidt delivers a storyline that will grip you and hold you until the last page. This storyline has so many twists and turns that you will think that you are caught in a maze, however, it is all part of the puzzle that pieces are beginning to line fall into place. I loved the interaction between the characters and the heat between Tessera and

But it is also the story within the lead character's stories that will captivate you and leave you wanting more. I want to know what is going on. Who is behind this, whatever it is that is Legend and is unraveling and could bring about the apocalypse? Unfortunately, we will have to wait to see. What we do get to see is Tessera who was kidnapped, turned and is now a vampire who happens to be the mate to Jagger, president of the MC. Beside's being a vampire, she has some strange powers that could bring trouble to the club's door, or through the roof!! Enter Tria and Dios. Enter Eliana, Velma and Nixie. 6 sisters, all who have different powers and are different beings, but are connected nonetheless. Each woman, with the exception of one, has met their mate. Most have already bonded with their mate, but the danger that is out there threatens to tear apart the sisters just when they have finally met each other.

An intricate and interestingly complex tale, one that has many characters of the human and paranormal variety. Unique and different from any other books of this nature that I have read. Ok so I know names of top angels and demons are fairly common, but everything else, types of paranormal characters and the mixes of them with human I haven't come across anywhere else. The ideas and twists and turns that have this series going in various directions while still also pulling the groups together has me so excited. You can almost believe this could happen, it is written so well the descriptions so precise, the imagination so vivid it pulls you in and has you nearly seeing it all in your own mind. I love Esther's writing style whatever genre or series, she has me lost and intrigued, kept so deep in the reading I forget the time and often don't hear others talking to me, im in the world of the story and I hate interruptions. The complexity of this overall story is amazing and honestly there is no way of guessing what any of the outcomes will be, her imagination holds no bounds. This is a fantasy at the best it could possibly be and I wish I could give this more than five stars because it is worth more.

Vampires is book 2 in the Death By Reaper MC series written by amazing author Esther E. Schmidt. Z This was Esther’s second paranormal book and I have to say that she outdid herself, such an awesome story. Esther has write a combination of two great genres, the MC with the paranormal world and the results has been out of this world. Vampires can be read as a standalone but it would be better if you read Hellhound Death by Reaper MC #1 first because the stories develop around all the couples and other characters pass from one book to another. This is the story of Jagger, President of the Death by Reaper MC, Vampire Charter and his eternal mate, Tessera aka 'Angel'. The chemistry between Jagger and Tessera was off the charts. The story line is start at the end of the first book and is full of action, sexy vampires, witches, demons, Fae, secrets, romance, bit of family banter, mystery and love. I really enjoyed it and would give this book more than 5 stars. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal stories and MC stories. I can't wait for the next book!!

This was a great book. Esther E. Schmidt did a fantastic job on it. Vampires was well written and had a great plot and characters. The story was filled with action. Jagger and Tessera were strong characters, both were fierce, protective leaders. They were perfect together. Jagger would do anything for his woman, she was his world. The connection and attraction between Tessera and Jagger was off the charts and their chemistry was sizzling. These two were made for one another. I really enjoyed Jagger and Tessera's story. They were great together.
This was a great story. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series. I highly recommend reading.

Until recently, Tessera never knew that there was such thing as Paranormals. Jagger is determined to protect his MC and his mate from whatever may come. Something bigger than them is in play. Will Tessera learn the truth of her heritage? Will Jagger be able to keep her safe?
This is the first paranormal book by Esther E Schmidt and I loved it as much as her normal MC books. I loved how they were all represented and how once again you got alpha males who are all different, but determined to protect what they consider theirs. I loved how her women don't just lie down and take what the men say. Great read!

I love paranormal book and mix that with Esther's take on books, makes for a winner. This book takes a MC and mixes it with mythology, with vampires, hellhounds, angels, witches, demons, fae, and I expect to see others pop up in future books.
Tessera and Jagger are perfect together. Both will not allow anything to happen to their family and they feel deep. Tess has been raised with human understanding, so it takes her a while to understand the speed at which vampires move with their feelings. This was a great book and I look forward to the next book to see how Tria's hate for her true mate, Vike, will turn into love.

Esther Schmidt has outdone herself, holy hell woman(no pun intended)! She has combined paranormal and MC to tell Jagger and Tessera's story and it will draw you in, make you believe you are right there. Vampires, demons, fae, witches, elite, alpha males, incredible women and more are woven in this story. Twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat. Legends are unfolding. What I know for sure is Esther is my addiction and I feed on her stories. I am praying I can last till the next story. I can't wait for more pieces of this puzzle to be revealed!

Im not a big fan of vampires I find them quite boring, BUT I freaking loved this book! I don't think I have ever seen paranormal done this way. I really enjoyed Tessera because who doesn't like a strong h. id love to see more interaction with the sporting caricatures but that's just because I'm greedy. there is so much going on In this book that like I said im just being greedy for more. I cant wait till the next book . this book is going to be at the top of my re-read pile.

WOW! I don't usually read paranormal but being the huge fan of Esther E Schmidt that I am, I had to read this series as well. The first book Hellhounds was amazing. Vampires is brilliant! Schmidt did an amazing job bringing in so many different paranormal creatures into one book! Absolutely stunning. It's so much more than I had hoped for in this book and can't wait for the next in the series!!

Safe , I was hoping there wasn't talk about his past and how many people he was with, granted he is quite old. But someone telling the h not too worry he only scratched his itched was not necessary and bummed me out. Other than that it was a good story.

Jagger is a cool hero, love his possessive side.
Tessera is an okay heroine, just wish she would be a bit more helpful in a fight. I hope this is not setting a trend as I felt Eliana was terrible in a fight 😯😯.
But it is cool to see Tessera as an Angel.
Nice book, I like that it is not dragged out and I am digging the soul mates angle.

So... I really don’t know how to start this so bare with me here...
This genre is a love/hate for me. I have read many vampire books and I like some of them. I have a hard time with how they are portrayed. I have a hard time with paranormal. Things can go so wrong, so childish so just not my cup of tea.
I loved how Esther wrote them. It’s not over the top but just right. She is a true master of her craft. She was born to do this. To make my day brighter with her words. Not many authors can do that.
Jagger is a beast of a man. I liked how he handled his one true love. How he spent time getting to know her.
How he was protective but also let’s her stand on her own feet and learn to protect her self. That is an important lesson for all woman folk.
Tessera. Also this could go very wrong but it didn’t, thank god. But knowing the author I was not worried.
She took to her new life in stride. That is how you show a strong female character.
I like reading about strong and smart women and that is what I got.
So people.. my conclusion is. 5 star read. As always. I think you should read book one first. Always good to get the whole story.

I loved this book!! Jagger and Tessera make such a great couple and I love how they come together! Vampires brings us further into the Death by Reaper storyline with another set of paranormals. As usual, Esther does not disappoint with these characters and their fated mate storyline. Never one to continuously go the same route Esther has created another chapter and very different story. Every book I read by her feels better than the last!! Which doesn't seem possible because they're all so good!! I'm definitely adding Jagger and the other vampires to an Esther bus!!
