For the past few years Becky Wade’s My Stubborn Heart has been one of (if not the absolute top of) my favourite Christian novels. I love the wry honesty, the depth of emotion, the God elements, the humor.
I’m so pleased to see with Sweet on You that Becky Wade has hit so many of those factors again. I loved reading about Zander’s yearning, I felt his pain. I loved the awkward awakening of Britt’s awareness. I love feeling like you can be in the characters’ skin experiencing their emotions. I love seeing the faith threads and the moments of God dependency. I enjoyed the chocolate making descriptions - it’s like watching Masterchef knowing it’s a form of awesomeness I can never hope to replicate.
All in all, this is my favourite of the Bradford sisters novels, and definitely worth the wait.
If you’re a Becky Wade fan, you’re sure to have this already on your must read ASAP pile. If you’re not yet a Becky Wade fan, do yourself a favour and start reading her books, and I hope you’ll enjoy Sweet on You as much as I have.

I am already missing Britt and Zander. I thoroughly enjoyed their story. Britt is very relatable. She's fun, lovable and sassy. Zander is one of my favorite types of male leads. He's dark, vulnerable, a deep thinker, smart, attractive and most importantly he loves his lady. He's always loved her. He always will love her. The mystery is just an extra for me. I am more into the character development and the romance. Britt and Zander must work through personal issues before they can truly become a couple. The kissing scenes were very steamy! The chemistry between Zander and Britt is over the top!
If you are a fan of good, clean love stories, this is a must read. But read the series in order to get the most enjoyment from them!

Sweet On You is divine. I absolutely loved every page of this amazingly sweet romance. One part art-heist mystery the other part a best-friends to lovers romance, Sweet On You captures everything that is so loveable about the Bradford Sisters Romance series and dials it up to awesome levels.

Britt and Zander have been best friends since they were kids. While Britt loves their friendship and frequently reminds her sisters that guys and girls can be just friends, Zander has romantic feelings for Britt that he has long kept secret. When Zander’s uncle dies in suspicious circumstances he returns from his year abroad and must face both the secrets of his uncle’s past and his feelings for Britt.

While some books need to come with a box of tissues, Sweet On You needs to come with a box of chocolates. Seriously, reading some of these scenes without a handy source of chocolate was agony. Oh, the cravings. Britt is a master chocolatier and that passion for food and her craft shines through every page. I loved the sweet moments Britt and Zander share in the kitchen, whether in real time or in fondly remembered flashbacks.

I loved that this contemporary romance novel was also part mystery. Zander and Britt work to piece together the clues of Zander’s uncle’s past and involvement in an art heist. They do some solid detective work and, despite the precautions they take, find themselves in a tight spot, which adds loads of suspense to the end of the book. I was intrigued by the mystery and enjoyed how it wove through and drove the plot, but I mostly appreciated how this gave Zander and Britt the perfect backdrop to explore their changing relationship.

I loved Britt’s voice -quirky, confident and slightly bossy- and how Wade so perfectly captures her character and brought her to life. She is by far my favourite of the Bradford sisters and her book is my favourite of the series - though they are all great reads. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone title, but it might make more sense to follow each sister’s journey chronologically through the series, as they all play such a big part in each other’s lives.

I love friends to lovers romance stories and Britt and Zander’s is very well written. Their friendship is so believable, so tangible in all the little things they do together, how well they can read each other, and how they support and annoy each other. Along with great romance, Sweet On You continues this series’ tradition of strong sisterly bonds, a close-knit community and fun, quirky characters.

I can very highly recommend Sweet On You. I absolutely loved this charming and adorable book.

Sweet On You has been on my To Be Read list for a while and it was absolutely worth the wait!! This series has been sooo good! I was excited to finally be able to read Britt and Zander's story, and I was not let down!

I always had a soft spot for the friends-to-lovers storyline, but there was so much more than just a romance between the hero and heroine. I apprecite that we get to see Britt and Zander's relationship evolve over the course of this series. It was so nice not have a insta-love relationship! The author did not try to rush things but it felt like you saw the love grow between the two characters organically.

I also enjoyed the flashbacks, texts, journal entries/ phone calls between the characters as well! It gives more of a intimate feel to the characters P.O.V. and I felt emotionally invested characters as I read along.

I could relate to Britt and Zander individual journeys of learning to how to truly trust God with their hopes, dreams and hardships, and how it can be hard at times to be vulnerable with God and also other people. But it is so beautiful when we learn to trust, love, and not lean to our or own understanding.

Oh! Let me just say...how can you not want to root for Zander in this book! He was just so good, and honorable, and paitient. Plus he had that wounded-hot-guy appeal also. Be still my heart!
I always liked Britt from book one she is fun, independent and sassy, but it was nice seeing a deeper more vulnerable side of her too. I admired the camaraderie and banter between her and Zander. The mystery/ suspense plot throughout the book was an extra dose of awesome as well!

I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the Bradford Sisters stories in this series, I am happy to have read it! There were so many moments from this series that I will keep with me forever. I will miss their sisterhood, family and town. Yall I seriously have an extra dose of book-hangover this time! but sometimes good things have to come to and end. Off to the next series!

5 stars!

This is third in a series and characters from those other two are important and present to this one. I definitely recommend reading this in order. Not least because you see some of the inciting incidents and exactly how clueless Britt is regarding Zander's affections.

I found this book tedious, frankly, though I did finish it so there's that. It turns out that I have a very low tolerance for the silent sufferer that pretty much defines Zander. He's carried a torch for Britt for fourteen years while she's oblivious. Which is probably for the best because she's also immature and frivolous and the Christian equivalent of a party girl (in and out of "relationships" and never serious about any of them). Anyway, he's all in pain watching her with other guys and I find I have zero sympathy for his plight. It doesn't help that the book continues with her oblivious for 40-something percent of the story—nor that it takes another fifteen percent before there's any movement on her saying anything. At which point the stupid starts up in earnest as she puts them right into a "let's not jeopardize our friendship just because that was a great kiss" phase.

And yeah, I wasn't terribly happy with Britt, either. She's in her post-mid twenties and it's past time for her to realize some obvious life truths, starting with a serious look at what she wants in her "relationships" and why she isn't content with the boys she dates. It's pretty clear to the reader that Zander is fulfilling all her emotional intimacy needs so the other guys are just toys, really. So she isn't doing herself or anyone else any favors with her obliviousness and I find it hard to believe that this state of non-affairs has continued for so many years without her learning better.

That they'd be perfect together was part of what kept me reading, I think. They understood each other and supported each other in every important way so having them work out the last barriers to being together was satisfying, even when it was only in anticipation. Wade's best work on this romance is having them be so exactly right for each other. Of course, that's also some of what made it hard as the whole story is them thrashing about trying to get to the place where it could be fully realized. Still, their interactions were so charming that they drew me on even though Zander was a silently-suffering idiot and Britt an oblivious idiot.

The faith bits, which are usually outstanding in Wade's books, was only a partial win in this one. Britt's faith arc has her moving from a position of absolute self-reliance to learning to lean on God and others who love her. This was moving and powerful, I think (though drawn out a bit long), and her eventual trust in Zander was the best payoff of this story. Zander's faith journey was a serious misfire, though. He has been praying for years that Britt would wake up to his awesomeness and come to love him back. I had hoped that him learning to lean on God and accept His plan, even if it meant nothing changed with Britt, would be a great development and the resulting change in Zander's treatment of Britt might wake her up to his awesomeness. Instead, we have him simply waiting it out with a couple vignettes where we see him importuning God for what he wants and/or finding occasional peace in nature and/or prayer. This was not only a squandered opportunity for something more powerful but the actual "message" is that you can bend God to your will if you wait Him out and are extra sad about it.

The mystery plot was interesting enough and I liked that it gave them something more-or-less neutral to work together on. The bits I liked least were absolutely essential to some of the more important developments so I'm willing to roll with it (). I think it could have been avoided and actually been stronger but that's an untested hypothesis so I'm willing to let that ride as my ego talking.

So yeah, this was three stars but only because I really liked them together and Britt's growth arc was moving when it finally coalesced.

A note about Faith: I don't mean to downplay Zander's faith so want to make clear that his devotion isn't as surface as it sounds. Wade goes out of her way to show that the conversion in his past was a real one and in non-Britt contexts is solid and self-sustaining. He isn't wavering in his faith and that's important to note given my disregard for how it relates to his desires for a relationship.

A note about Chaste: These are firmly faithful Christians with zero indication of sex happening anywhere, ever. There are some awesome kisses, but they're careful not to overstep. Zander does spend a night, fully clothed, when . It isn't even a little sexy and no clothes are removed and not even any kissing (that so wasn't what she needed anyway). So I consider this very chaste.

I love all of Becky Wade’s books & Sweet On You is no exception. This novel focuses on the enduring friendship of Zander, who has loved candy-maker Britt since elementary school, and Britt, who has been Zander’s champion, companion, and protector over the years.

Their story is charming, sweetly romantic, inspirational, and real. The plot touches lightly on the wrongs and heartbreaks of this world—adults ruined by addictions, greed, and crime, and the neglected children who pay the price into adulthood. But the answers provided are simple and true:

“The God I’ve come to lean on understands me better than I understand myself. Ultimately, His timing was perfect.”

“I survived because I let God carry me through it . . . Here’s what I know for sure: You can rely on Him in the hard as well as in the easy. If He leads you into something hard, then He’ll provide the grace you need to bear up under it.”

I enjoyed the interactions of all the characters in Zander & Britt’s world. Though flawed, they are also big-hearted, loyal, wise, and funny. I wish my visit with them could have been even longer!

I can’t wait to add a copy to my classroom library, because my student readers value Becky Wade books as much as I do!

Entertaining, uplifting & satisfying! Don’t miss this great read!

Thanks so much to NetGalley & Bethany House for the opportunity to read this book.

Quotes I like . . .

“He had been unfaithful, and if God operated on human rules of fairness, then he would have no right to ask God anything. God would have every right to turn away and shut His ears to his pleas. But against all odds and all comprehension, God didn’t operate on human rules. He’d trampled fairness when He’d sanctioned the most unfair act of history—the crucifixion. Because of that, he had been made right with God. He was God’s son. A son full of mistakes. But a son, nonetheless.”

“His unfaithfulness couldn’t negate God’s faithfulness. Faithfulness was inseparable from God’s character.”

“Joy—deep, simple joy—pulled his mouth into a grin. He opened his arms and caught her with an oomph. Then he spun her around in the air twice. Carefully, he set her back on her feet, steadying her the way he always had emotionally. She hugged him tight, pressing the side of her face against his chest for several long moments.”

“And just like that, standing in the middle of Merryweather Historical Village and looking into her face without continents separating them, the biggest part of his soul—the part that had been missing for a year and a half—locked back into place.”

“Zander had a romantic, slightly heartbreaking, usually serious face. He could pass as either an nineteenth-century poet or one of those harshly handsome vampires from Twilight.”

“When you prayed for something every day and heard nothing but silence for more than a decade, it ground down your hope like corn into cornmeal. Zander had begun to wonder if God could still be good while denying him the one thing he’d prayed for most. Could he depend on a God who refused to give him what he’d waited years for? The right answer was yes. God was still good. God was still dependable. However, disillusionment had driven a wedge into his relationship with God. What had once been simple was now complicated.”

“I’ve traveled all over the world searching for things. Freedom. Experiences I can collect like shells from a beach. Culture. History. Learning. Writing inspiration. The more I search the world, the more certain I am that the person I love the most is right where I began. Everything I truly want can be found in my own hometown.”

“The love he’d extended to her was a sacred trust. She needed to handle it with extreme care. His parents’ love hadn’t proven trustworthy. He’d just lost his uncle. She absolutely had to prove herself dependable in this situation. In fact, she wanted to prove herself to be better than dependable. She wanted to make up for the pain she’d caused him in the past.”

Sweet on You was definitely was my series favorite. I thought Britt and Zander were both adorable, and yes it all could be argued that it was borderline annoying that Zander waited so long because you need a good foundation for any relationship to thrive, and the high octane of attraction over time does fizzle out. I found Sweet on You so addictingly readable that I read in the stairwells between clients (it is the quietest place to read) just so I could find out what happened. I really didn't expect any less from a novel written by Becky Wade, and I wasn't disappointed!

Becky Wade is truly in a masterclass of her own when it comes to writing sassy, sweet, and a little spicy contemporary romance. She has done it again in Sweet on You.

Whip-smart and snappy dialogue with a dash of sass and a dose of adorable populate the pages, keeping the tone fast-paced and emitting the easy, comfortable way that Britt & Zander have with each other. There’s a smile to be had on nearly every page, and when I reached the end I just wanted to hug the book & Zander & Britt & even Becky Wade herself!

The friends-to-more trope is one of my faves to read – primarily because that’s my own love story too. I spent 3 years telling my friends that E and I were just friends and we would never date. So I could totally relate to Britt early on in the story when she bemoans the fact that people just can’t accept that a man and woman could be just friends. As my grandma said to me, i say to Britt – “Famous last words”

And speaking of that “more” they are journeying toward… that friendship set on fire…. I have two things to say:

1. The combination of utter tenderness, pent-up longing, and sizzling chemistry between them is swoonilicious times 100.

2. HOLY GUACAMOLE… those kisses, y’all. Their first kiss had me holding my breath and searching for my fainting couch and swooning all twitterpated-like.

In the midst of searching for answers regarding the untimely death of Zander’s uncle, trying to get the latest truffle recipe just right & planning for a Bradford sister wedding, the author gives us delicious quotes that make me swoon in word-smithing-and-romantic-heart delight.

And tucked away between these pages is a poignant and achingly sweet message: we were never meant to rely on ourselves or other people – rely only on God because He never fails. And He is there to supply all the grace we need.

Bottom Line: I. LOVED. IT. I could stop right there but I’ll also mention that Wade achieves the perfect blend of suspense, romance, family and faith. And those kisses!!! I also loved the snippets of text message & passed notes, and phone calls that enhanced both the plot and the characters.

Britt and Zander know how to do friendship. They are 100% there for each other, even in little ways they don't allow each other to see but are revealed to the reader in snippets from notes over the years. Unrequited love come to fruition is one of my favorite types of romance, and I've been looking forward to Zander finally getting his girl! I loved getting inside his head and experiencing the longing and yearning he has for Britt, while also fulfilling his own aspirations in the meantime. The mystery behind his uncle's hidden past and the suspense it brought to the plot was the perfect balance for the angst Britt and Zander are feeling and also providing them the opportunities to get closer together. For much of the book Britt did such a good job convincing herself that there was no romance between herself and Zander that I was convinced also, and had to make a major shift when things finally heat up between them. I would have done better with a bit more emotion or self-awareness from her leading into the new dimension of their relationship. They have such a deep connection otherwise, the chemistry that rises to the surface is just the icing on the cake. Britt and Zander each are developing their faith as well and I appreciated the insights and inspiration there. I love this series focused on a trio of sisters!

I do love it when Becky Wade gives us a respectable mystery to figure out! She does it so well. Everything kept me guessing as Britt and Zander tried to figure out what happened to cause his uncle to be out all night and have a heart attack on the way home—but they instead stumble over a much larger issue...what if his uncle isn’t who he thinks? So they set off on a quest of finding out what’s up and making sure no crazy folks are going to show up and hurt his aunt and cousins.

I really loved how everything unfolded between Britt and Zander—from the first book I’ve been rooting for them as a couple—and it just turned out beautifully. You feel each of the moments between them and all of their longing and angst. I loved each moment! And wow...that tense ending!!! I mean, I knew surely the MCs weren’t going to die at the ending, but that other part of me was sure they couldn’t survive what they got into. It’s got some excellent thriller moments!

I’d recommend to women over 18 for some heavy kissing scenes

'He only wanted her. There wasn't enough real estate in his heart for anyone else.'

Becky Wade gives us the final book in her Bradford Sisters Romance series with Sweet On You, Zander and Britt's story. I have been waiting a long time for this one and Wade absolutely shines here! Zander has loved Britt since they met when they were 14 years old. Britt adored Zander Ford, but she just didn't see him as he saw her. But his love for her never once wavered in the intervening 13 years. He was solid in his devotion to her. Britt thought of Zander as her very best friend, but maybe she'll begin to see him differently. He surely hopes so. He has prayed for it for years.

Zander is now a bestselling author and has spent the last year and a half being a world traveler. He left on the journey because he couldn't bear to not be Britt's choice. But he's back because his uncle just died under strange circumstances and he is going to help discover what happened. Britt wants to help and off they go, together again, but only as friends. Britt is happy with their relationship the way it is while Zander is praying things will change. He is finding that keeping his feelings hidden from Britt a very hard thing to do. Something just has to change. Britt is so sure of herself, yet she is also insecure, never allowing herself to feel anything but strong in every way.

There is just something about a Becky Wade book that makes the reader feel as if they hold a treasure in their hands. She takes her time, never rushes things, even a simple conversation or description, which makes these characters just seem to take up residence in the reader's heart. Her novels are so full and rich, her way of drawing us into their very lives until we sometimes think we're really there!

Zander has the honor, in my opinion, of being the absolute best fictional hero who loves his woman best and hardest. Nothing will ever shake his love for Britt. He will never not be there for her. His heart is totally true and his love for Britt will endure for all eternity. Some of his thoughts and words in this story made my heart melt! He was so devoted to his woman. Absolutely 100% there!

Wade writes the kind of books that you hate to put down when you finish because these characters populate your thoughts and hearts long afterwards, making it difficult to pick up another book. How I love her stories! Becky Wade absolutely shines here! A book for the keeper shelf and destined to be read more than once.

*My thanks to Bethany House Publishers for a copy of this book. The opinions stated here are entirely my own and no compensation was received.

What a beautifully romantic conclusion to one of my very favorite series! During books one and two of this series, True to You and Falling for You, Zander and Britt showed up at various times. What was clear in those novels was that Zander loved Britt, his best friend, and she did not realize how he felt.

So, readers like me have anxiously anticipated Britt and Zander’s story. These two were clearly meant to be much more than best friends.

The author did a beautiful job of slowly awakening Britt to this reality. And, wow, when she did…well, no spoilers here, so I will just say that it was powerful!

These characters felt so real to me. Actually, this entire series had characters that felt like real people, making these novels ones that I love to re-read. I highly recommend all of the books in the Bradford Sisters Romance series.

Sweet on You is Becky Wade at her greatest. With a swoony, brooding hero, and a brave, fierce, heroine, you'll be pulled into the story from the moment it begins. And that beautiful glow of a good book will linger long after.

I LOVED this book. It was wonderful to read Britt's story. Zander is a unique hero. The guy next door, who is wounded, but rises above again and again. The heroine is slow to acknowledge the love she has for him is more than friendship. Such a sweet story and truly perfection. I loved it!

Y'all I have been waiting for this book for THREE years! I fell in love with Zander and Britt in book 1. (As did the rest of the CF population)
I have been anxiously awaiting the day Britt would open her eyes and fall head over heels in love with Zander. (Every other woman already had)

I was excited to actually get a full book of Zander's perspective. We finally to truly meet him. All of his thoughts, feelings, strengths and weaknesses. I loved him in the first book, but love him even more now. "Zander Ford, wealthy Dickensian orphan."
If you look up the definition of persistence and patience in the dictionary, a picture of Zander Ford comes up. The man had been in love with Britt since they were 14, but still was a GREAT best friend. His heart had been trampled on over and over, but he still held on because he loved her. Okay scratch my previous "patient and persistent"...Zander was a SAINT! Plus his little quirks about closing doors and loading the dishwasher were ADORABLE.

Britt on the other hand...
I really liked her in the first two books and was excited to finally get into her head, but she started to get under my skin.
1) I wanted to shake her until she saw how much Zander loved her.
2) Her "independent/I'm fine" attitude got really old for me.
I'm all for independent characters, but when it becomes the answer to everything it start to wear on me. I had a hard time truly connecting with her as the story progressed.

I LOVE the "best friend to boyfriend" troupe! 😍😍 The romances always have the best foundation since they know everything about each other. This one was no different. I loved the chemistry and relationship between the characters. Though it took so long for it to come to light, it was really a great love story!

The mystery element was really interesting and well done. It was nice to have an additional plot line to the romance. It was fun to see this author dabble in something a little outside her normal genre.

I have the loved the Bradford sisters since the beginning, it's bittersweet to see it end, but Becky wrapped up the series very well. It's definitely going to be something I'll reread.
I rated this book 4/5 stars.

This author and this book series is one of my favorites. I have loved delving into the lives of these sisters and their unique family structure. Britt is the youngest and I was so excited to finally get to her story. Actually, it's as much Zander's story as it is Britt's and it was Zander that my heart really followed.

Zander has loved Britt since he was fourteen. Unrequited love. It's the worst kind of love. Zander's love for Britt has tortured him his whole life. But Zander is the best of men and he demonstrates this to Britt in his every word and his every action. The best friend gig is a good one but not the one his heart wants the most. His struggle become my struggle and I was starting to feel both overwhelmed and indignant on his behalf because Britt was just not catching on or catching up fast enough. I'm so impatient!

There are a few things I love about this book. First, the characters from book one to book four are the same. They are always around and they feel like family. Second, there is more than just a love story swirling in these pages. There is a growing mystery to match the growing intensity of the relationship. Lastly, as a reader I'm always looking for emotional involvement. I want to feel something and be connected to the characters. This book delivered that. Lastly, chocolate. CHOCOLATE! I wish I could sit in Britt's shop. I wish I could eat her creations. I want to eat chocolate! Is there anything better than chocolate and romance? 😍

Content: peril, mild violence, kissing

Five plus stars... I so enjoy Becky Wade's writing style, so full of wit, wisdom, and reward. I often gasp/laugh, smile, nod, re-read a sentence slowly to savor it. This story is a masterful blend of deep devotion, an honest portrayal of human frailties-even those that set themselves up as strengths-the truth of God's goodness and the wonder of knowing him, the complexities of relationships, realistic fears and failings, joys and just the right proportions of "feels." I loved Britt and Zander... and marveled at how Wade captured the full-blown introvert so well and with care. Such a sweet, romantic, engaging tale.

Sometimes I take way to long to read a book. This one has been on my TBR for a while.

Britt and Zander have been best friends for 13 years. They have helped each other, finish each other's thoughts, and provided needed support. Zander has been in love with Britt the whole time and she was oblivious. This book reminds me that sometimes patience pays off.

This book was more than a romance. There is a suspense aspect. Zander's uncle just passed away and he learns that his uncle had a past that was buried. Zander and Britt decide to investigate together to discover the truth. The past wasn't pretty, but it brought in a few unique and dangerous characters.

This is a book that has a great resolution and is one that helps my faith in humanity and good people. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I need to read the stories about Britt's sisters. I loved getting to know them in the pages of this book.

This is a clean read with heavy kissing. This also contains Christian content and non-graphic violence

This is probably one of my favourite friends-to-love stories to date. I enjoyed Britt and Zander since book one and was looking forward to their story, which we patiently had to wait till book three. I enjoyed how Britt realised she had feelings for Zander, though there were a few times I wanted to shake her because of a decision she made. I also enjoyed the sisters' banter and teasing.

I absolutely enjoyed the mystery/suspense plot with Zander's uncle. It kept me guessing till the end and added to a nice balance so that this story wasn't too overboard on the romance side.

What I loved about this book and the series, was the notes, diary entries and other text messages etc which was included at the end of each chapter.

The audiobook was really entertaining and the characters well delivered.

Started a tad slow for me, but I really enjoyed this!!💞 Loved Zander. What a broody sweetie (2 of my fave things). I couldn’t identify with Brit at all. But that’s okay. I enjoyed watching them come together as more than friends & seeing the intriguing mystery unfold. As I’ve come to expect in this series, Becky Wade always has strong spiritual themes & I so appreciate that. & the chemistry is always great🔥. I’d say this is a 4 star 🌟 book (mainly for the slow beginning) but a super high 4 stars 🌟😁

Sweet on You is charming and witty with a real-life depth to it. As with the first two books, there is also an element of mystery that weaves expertly in with the main storyline. Add in some adorable kisses and incredibly chemistry, heartfelt introspection, and a genuine faith element, and the story is complete.

The friendship between Britt and Zander, and Zander’s desire for more, is a beautifully tender aspect of this novel. More than that, I found so much to relate to in both of their characters – Britt’s tendency to be utterly self-reliant, as well as Zander’s tendency to seclude himself from others – these aspects of their characters really spoke to my heart and come across as completely genuine. As a couple, Britt and Zander are spectacular, but they shine as individuals as well, and I appreciate that Wade always delivers excellent character development as the story progresses.

I love that characters from the previous book still have solid parts in this story. Wade excels in taking place and a family and making both feel real. I loved getting to experience things through Britt and Zander’s eyes that also incorporates these beloved characters from books one and two.

While many would not deem it necessary, I highly recommend reading the series in order. The reader can really get to know the characters, and each story builds a bit on the other, which is just more fun to read.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the publisher. I was not required to post a positive review, and the opinions expressed here are my own.

I have loved every book by Becky Wade. This one is an excellent reason why. Sweet On You had mystery, suspense, humor, and swoon worthy romance all tied up in a beautiful bow. Britt, the heroine, was an independent and fiercely loyal young woman who took the hero Zander under her wing in high school. Zander had loved Britt since he was fourteen years old. She had been clueless all these years. I got a little frustrated with her at times, but overall you had to love her and want to be in her inner circle. I loved Zander. He was a selfless, brooding, thoughtful, and fiercely loving young man. OH MY was he ever. Y'all the kisses! WOW! I am a romance lover and this was so stinking good. If you love romance and some suspense, humor, and chocolate, then you will love this book.
My favorite quote was from Britt's mom. "If He (God) leads you into something hard, then He'll provide the grace you need to bear up under it."
*I was given a copy of this book by the publisher. This is my honest opinion.

This is one where you won't walk away unaffected by it. At least I didn't anyway! If you've been following along with the Bradford sisters—and I hope for your sake you have been, if not you absolutely must—this is the culmination of all that's happened up to this point, and then Becky Wade takes you over the edge with Britt & Zander's story. And what a ride it is!

Wade's writing is sheer perfection in my thinking because she's an expert at pulling out all the emotions a person can feel all at the same time. Zander's been hiding in the background teasing us with his presence. But at the same time, he's been such an integral part of the Bradford family that there's no way to separate him apart from them. He's just always been. Always! He's always belonged, he's always been that steady presence, always been the one true friend you could count on, and always loved Britt. But he knows if he shatters that thin line between friendship & love with her, that he could lose that place in her life. The one that hasn't yet admitted how special he is to her. So he's stoically held on to his feelings, keeping them close to his heart. Until he couldn't anymore...and there, my fellow readers, is where things get dicey! I won't tell you anymore than that, but I hope your appetite for reading this book is piqued.

Dating Britt Bradford was like trying to tame a bobcat. If he gave her any reason to think he wanted to take away her freedom, he'd lose her.

Britt is stubbornly independent, seriously portraying the happy-go-lucky person everyone expects her to be—or at least she THINKS everyone expects her to be. Because she knows the instant she admits she's not okay, she could fall apart and lose herself. And that is something she absolutely will not do, EVER! This girl reminds me too much of my younger self—and to some degree my now much older self—and that is why I related so closely to her. I could understand her, her inner thoughts, struggles, and why she held tightly to those emotions that could show her vulnerable side. When she began to have feelings for Zander—other than a friendship born of a longtime platonic relationship where two people go through EVERYTHING together—her self control begins to slip. I don't know how she DIDN'T know Zander loved her and has loved her since almost the beginning fourteen years ago. There were clues along the way, if she only took time to see them....truly see them. And right there, my fellow readers, is where things become interesting! Again, I won't spoil it for you, because each reader must discover the ending to this love story for themselves. Just suffice it to say, you won't be left disappointed!

Here's what I know for sure: You can rely on Him in the hard as well as in the easy. If He leads you into something hard, then He'll provide the grace you need to bear up under it. ~ Britts dad

Prepare yourself for the unexpected twist at the end, because you won't see it coming and it ups the already tense & emotional ride you're on. Kind of like a roller coaster that starts out smooth & slow, and then plunges you upside down through many sharp curves. Like I said, sheer perfection. I couldn't imagine any other way for Becky Wade to conclude this series. Oh, and the spiritual truths are just as strong throughout. They had me deeply thinking of all the ways God loves me in spite of my penchant to be just like Britt—holding my emotions tightly to myself to the detriment of closer relationships with others. Something to chew on!

In conclusion; these hard won happily-ever-after love stories are my absolute favorite. The history between longtime friends makes the romance sweeter, more vibrant and alive—at least in my thinking. Friendship to more is my top favorite troupe in fiction, because I lived my own with my husband of many years. You just KNOW one another; their thoughts, feelings, you can finish each other's sentences—all the things Britt found out for herself when she finally surrendered herself to Zander's love. And at the risk of sounding like a broken record—sheer perfection! I encourage you to read the prequel novella, which is Garner Bradfords story (their father) in "Then Came You" and then both Nora Bradfords story in "True to You" and Willow Bradfords story in "Falling for You" because I believe you will enjoy those just as much & get a deeper connection to Britt & Zander in "Sweet on You" . In my mind, these are not to be passed up novels! Because when I read the last page with tears in my eyes—me, the ever stoic one—then I know Becky Wade's books will go on my immediate and automatic will-be-reading list! Every. Single. One.

Heaving Sigh.
Shuddering hiccoughs.
Chronic sniffles.

Excuse the state I'm in but this is the last Bradford Sister Romance and...it's Zander's story! I've been rooting for him the whole series. He's been Britt's shadow since high school. The angry kid with a troubled past prepared to hate the entire town but Britt blithely blew through all his defenses. He fell in love. She didn't. But they've been the best of friends for thirteen years. That's over a decade of unrequited love, people! Oh, the angst and the turmoil and the hopes dashed! My tummy is still in knots and my heart still beats erratically! I might not recover -- especially since we've run out of series.

Honestly, Zander could do no wrong for me...even though he insisted on being all stubbornly silent about his love for Britt. I wanted to shake some action into him, but mostly I just wanted to hug the stuffing right out of him! Britt, on the other hand...well, I might have had some bloodthirsty thoughts about her. I mean, what she put Zander (and me!) through!!!! That girl was clueless while being all sweet and endearing and unknowingly beguiling! And then, when she suddenly starts to feel attracted to Zander she doesn't say peep either. Gah! Love a good friends to lovers romance and this is excellent if somewhat nerve-wracking for readers with gentle sensibilities like moi. :-)

But when these two finally connect -- ahem! -- roll in the fainting couch and prepare for some rigorous toe-curling calisthenics! There's nothing quite like a love that builds out of the firm foundation of an enduring friendship.

There's even a bonus mystery to round out the story -- and lots of sisterly snippets to savor one last time. (Excuse me while I quietly weep into my lace hankie.) Definitely a blockbuster conclusion to a memorable series.

Ah...Zander. Wonderful, wonderful Zander. Absolute perfection. I so enjoyed this installment that finally, finally puts Zander in the spotlight.

As with the previous books in this series, there's romance that sneaks up on the characters added to a mystery. In this story, Zander's grand tour was cut short after 18 months when he learns of his uncle’s death. The family learns Uncle Frank isn’t who he said he was, and his past is producing some jaw dropping surprises, including several heists and a missing Renoir.

Britt, who has missed her best friend something fierce, is right there with Zander through every step of his investigation into his uncle's mysterious past. Zander has missed Britt like crazy too, but for different reasons. His love for her has always been one of deep, passionate love, not just friendship. Along their research into Uncle Frank's past, Britt finally faces feelings she has never faced before, surprising feelings of love and vulnerability.

As with the other books there is such cute banter between sisters Britt, Nora and Willow, plus hysterical conversations with Nikki, Grandma and Valentina, the half deaf Russian housekeeper. But the kidding between Britt and Zander was just plain fun. Loved it.

The faith element was light but at times poignant when our main characters face a faithful God even when they haven’t realized it.

She’d been driven low, and it had humbled her. But when she’d been driven low, she’d found God there. The God she’d known since childhood had gently lifted her chin. He was on her side. She could afford to let go of her own tattered competency.

Again, Ms. Wade's humor tickles me. Things many people wouldn’t necessarily think are funny made me burst out loud.

During a scene where Britt is writing in her journal was one of those bursts...

The flower-covered Z that hung from the back of Zander’s chair at dinner kept sliding to the side to form the letter N. We kept tilting it back. It kept sliding to the side. Eventually, we decided Nander had a nice ring to it. 😂

Good book! (I think I still like the first one best, though.)

My Review:

Genre: Romance, Christian fiction, suspense.

My Rating: 5 stars.

My Recommendation: 16 up for romance.

My Favorite Character/s: Zander! He’s a writer, (that’s kind of a duh moment for me… :D). And Britt! She makes chocolate, what better pair then a writer and a chocolateier? It’s the kind of a match made in chocolatey stories. I’m writing really stupid descriptions, aren’t I? Yeah, yeah, yeah, back to Zander, he’s a great guy; his care and love for Britt is soooooooooooooooo sweet! I do wish I had the ability to write as much as he does though. He’s the perfect fictional writer from a hard start in life.

My Verse for Zander is 1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (King James Version.)

Britt, the wounded and independent Britt, I’m not sure where to start with her. She’s sweet in her own way (aka sharing chocolate,) and her fighting spirit was fierce!

My Verse for Britt is Luke 6:31
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. (King James Version.)

My Thoughts: The cover is so pretty, if a bit sappy for my tastes but look at the beautiful colors and that dress so pretty! And the pages hidden under that cover are even better, I love the opening scene and I loved the whole book up until the last word, always . . . I love this book so much and I badly want to get my hands on a paperback, which is not something I want to do often for a romance because though I love a good romance I couldn’t care less if it’s Kindle or paperback unless I love the book! And I do soooooooooooooooooooooooo much, this book is soooooooooooooo good and I’m sure you’re done with me saying soooooooooo soooooooooo much so I’m done with my review. But before you go you should know this amazing book comes out today!!!!!!!!

I received this book in exchange for my honest review and I am truly happy to provide it — all the thoughts are my own.

Britt and Zander are best friends. They've been together since high school and nothing has driven them apart. Zander left over a year ago to travel the world and Britt misses him so much. When a death in the family brings Zander back stateside, Britt is saddened. But she's also so excited to have her best friend back home again. But the reason Zander left is still between them and Britt will need to wake up and take stock of her emotions before she ruins the best thing that ever happened to her.

This was one of those books that was eagerly anticipated and read through in just a day. I wasn't disappointed. But I was surprised. I expected the sweet romance, little bits of drama and intrigue, the importance of focusing on family, and the zany and fun characters. What I wasn't expecting was how much I would fall in love with Zander or how amazing the romance between the two main characters would be. I can honestly say that this was one of the hottest romance I've ever read. It's clean - so don't get excited. I'd let my daughter read it. But it was so full of emotion and feeling that I felt like I was experiencing it myself. It was real and authentic in a way that most romances tend to miss. The whole package was amazing. And I had to stop and think for a bit before I wrote the review. There were several points that the author made that really gave me food for thought. I think this would be perfect as a gift or book club selection. While it can definitely be read alone, I would recommend picking up the first two books in the series, as well as the prequel. It will make the story richer.

I received a copy of this book. All thoughts expressed are my own thoughts and opinions.
