We thought we had it all figured out. How to defeat Erick Adams, how to kill the demons, how to save the Spellmaker, how to save the world... Everything I needed to fight until my dying breath was right there in my hands, until it wasn't anymore. I made Erick Adams into the monster that he is today. I doomed the whole world by giving him the means to become invincible. Wilder said to me once that, whether it's a blessing or a cruse, I'm never, ever on my own. This time, it will be no different. I'll go to the end of the worlds if I have to, sell my soul to whoever will buy it, just to kill the monster I created and save the people I loved from a fate more horrible than death. The question is, will the world and the people still want me after I pay the ultimate price for our freedom? **The final book in the Scarlet Jones series.**
I can always count on this author to complete a series in the best way. I loved Winter and I love Scarlett just as much. The conclusion to this series is well done and very satisfying. I loved the two worlds colliding and can’t wait to see what this author writes next.
I have been totally addicted to D.N. Hoxa’s Scarlet Jones series, but I almost didn’t want to start reading Storm Dragon, it’s sixth book. Why? Because this is the series finale and I hated the thought of no longer having more time with Scarlet ad she’s become such s favorite. I could not resist long, of course, and (equally “of course”) I totally loved (really was mind-blown by) it. I’m not going to give away the plot as I really don’t want to say anything not already in the publisher’s blurb but (but!) I will guarantee that anyone who has been reading this series will find this conclusion both utterly fantastic and totally satisfying. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
I have loved the Storm Witch series, it has been amazing, I loved Scarlet as a main character, she is strong and sassy as you expect from the main female characters of this ilk but she has a lot more depth to her than most. Here is a young woman who has not met with her families expectations when her magic fails her, pretty much meaning her family turn there back on her (emotionally) little do they know she is so much more than any of them... The series is spread over the 6 books this being the last one, and i have to say I am sad!!! I would love for this series to go on and on, The world these characters live in is constructed will, and we have starring guest roles from Winter another beloved character from this universe. . I promise you future reader, it is well worth reading this series, I cannot recommend it enough pure escapism which is exactly what I like in my books!
Noooo.... is it really over? It can't be, I'm enjoying these characters entirely to much. I'm invested in their fictional lives... I need to know what happens now? I can't say everything I want because of spoilers but trust me from the first book to the last, the journey was epic and the story s incredible. I'll be checking out and of the other series by this author but I really hope this wasn't the last we see of Scarlet Jones and Company!
Sure this ends in an almost perfect way but what?! I'm actually frustrated reading that ending lol. Plus this series is finished but there's still questions. I'll definitely be reading the next heroine's series but its not the same. Great story though and it involves a favorite beastie. I'm just frustrated at 1 the sacrifice, 2 the threat, and 3 the love switch.
OMG!!!! This was an amazing story to read and it blew my mind reading this story. It is number six in the series and the very last book. This has been so far the best series I have read so far that wasn't just about shifters. I so love this story and series I can't wait to see what one of my favorites will write about next. This is my honest and unbias opinion of the story.
The characters that have been developed have been refined into people. The challenges and accomplishments of the story seem to revolve around the common good. A story about consciousness, good, and evil. Loved it. Need more, the closing left so much promise for the next novel.
When I started reading this series I did not think I would fall for the main character Scarlet. I thought there is no way I will like her as much as Winter. I was wrong, Scarlet is a brave, determined, thoughtful beautiful character. I know there is so much more to her story.
I really like this book I thought it was a good ending to this series. Scarlet is working with Winter Wayne again, she’s bound and determined to rescue Ezra, spell maker, and her and wild relationship has gotten more interesting. She never thought anybody could take the dragon off her hand but apparently it can be done. Scarlet had her dragon stolen and now she has to figure out how to kill the demons without it. I can definitely see how this series ran into the winter Wayne series. They all seem to come together at the last book.
Oh my Gosh, I absolutely loved the Scarlet Jones series AND the Winter Wayne series. Looking forward to the next series in this amazing world the author has built. Will it be starring Lynn? Or someone else we need to meet while Lynn finds her place in the world???
It got frustrating because the author didn't hold to the rules of her story. Contraindicated herself. Very flimsy solutions and premise. Not believable enough. But I do overall really like this author and her books
God that was good. And miss stubborn head just kept going. Lordy I wanted to smack her sometimes. But she was bad ass sometimes. I really hope that thing st the end really isn’t true....
Can't wait to see what is next. I know this was the last storm witch book but is there gonna be scarlet Jones secret keeper?? Can't wait to find out more. Great series
