Feared By Hell

You never mess with a young girl around James Brownstone.

It doesn't matter what crime syndicate you belong to, that just doesn't sit well with him.

The world has changed since the news of Oriceran came out twenty years before. Now, countries all over the world have agreed to use a bounty system for dangerous criminals using advanced magic or advanced technology.

People too powerful for the cops to deal with.

Magical criminals, thugs and bounty hunters, in the future we revert to what worked in the past.

if you find out you are hunted by Brownstone, we suggest you turn yourself in.

It will save you a monumental ass-kicking.

Rejected By Heaven

Brownstone now has a young lady to support, what is he going to do?

He requests a special Oriceran artifact the Professor is willing to trade, for a price.

Shay is willing to help, so long as everyone understands her help is not free. Brownstone will do whatever it takes to help Allison, and while he is at it? The orphanage that helped him is insolvent.

Time to get tricky when the church can’t accept funds from blood projects.

Eye For an Eye

The Harriken have decided James Brownstone needs to die.

So, they put out a hit on him valued at $500,000.

Shay is working her way back to California from a raid on artifacts in Asia, but she could be too late to help. With all of Los Angeles and Southern California's hitmen trying to take out Brownstone, even the cops are sitting this one out.

Until they don't

Bring The Pain

The Harriken have decided James Brownstone is an unacceptable dishonor to their clan.

This time, Grandfather has hired the best assassins in the business and Shay knows them.

Shay won't allow Brownstone to go to Japan without backup.

Her backup.

Brownstone needs to decide what he will do with the wish, and how much is he going to tell Allison?

The Harriken may have paid the piper, but James Brownstone is calling the dance.

While this is happening, Tyler has made an unexpected alliance with the law.

She Is The Widow Maker

The dark elves have come back to Earth.

They want to find the half-Drow named Alison, and to get to Alison, they need to find James Brownstone.

The Oriceran Consul doesn't want the Drow to mess up the fragile relationship between Oriceran and Earth.

But he can only warn the obstinate Drow so many times.

The professor needs a package picked up in Washington State and returned safely to him. He figures Brownstone is the man to do it.

And he wants Shay to do him a favor, with a few zeros attached to the end of the request.

The Unbelievable Mr. Brownstone Omnibus One (Books 1-6): Feared By Hell, Rejected By Heaven, Eye For An Eye, Bring The Pain, She Is The Widow Maker, When Angels Cry

SUPPOSEDLY this is one year in his life, which would only be true if the multiple trips of Shay and the different years of Alison matched up, in any way, which they don't, and to top it off the so called 'JIT'/just in time readers STILL are totally ignoring typos, continuity, sense, grammar, and pretty much everything/anything else a beta/arc reader is SUPPOSED to be for, but so obsiously are NOT doing in any way in any of the books, including and up to the cross stories now with Leira. I had read the book individually before the set, and also had been attempting to read the mess in the ones with Shay and/or Alison only to end up with spoilers and more confusion. When the 'Oriceran Universe' first started it was bad enough that didn't like any of the other universe ones, but was trying to hang in because of the cross stories of Leira/Brownstone/Shay/Alison and to much lesser extent Midwest Witch which has had no new ones out in ages and from what I hear neither has rest of them, except for the ones mentioned first...but the things that made the Leira books a decent read are long gone, Alison ones have been one long convoluted mess with skips over important things, spoilers in other places, nonsensical crap in others, contradictory in yet other ways, and that is BESIDES all the typo and grammar errors, then add to that the cramming in of Shay books which AGAIN are way ahead of Brownstone ones and still the writer fails time and again to keep the story straight even though the writer for that one co-writes the Alison and Shay ones topping it off that the writer/s have obviously not looked at own notes if any including such ongoing issues as saying he's 'bald', NO, he's not even buzz cut, he's just got short hair, writer's SHOULD know correct words for descriptions of someone they keep writing about so they're accurate.

Well, the folks at LMPBN (really?) have done it again. "The Unbelievable Mr. Brownstone" is awesome. If you don't like this book, you have something against fantasy/science fiction and or adventure stories, maybe even barbecue.
This book doesn't have all the answers to the questions brought up in the reading of the books; instead it's like playing poker. You don't show all of your hand, just enough to get someone into the game.
James, Mr. Brownstone, is bounty hunter unlike any you've seen in your life. Living in a universe where magic has come back from a parallel dimension is not all goodness and light. If the good guys have magic, how long is it before the bad guys have it to up their game?
The good guys and bad guys are classified from 1-6 (currently) (ex., purse snatchers or low level thieves would be a class one; a person who turns into a black hearted beast and kills just for fun would be a five or six based on kills/ how difficult it is for unenhanced lawmen to apprehend, or how much evil magic can/has the "enhanced" being capable of using, according to their abilities to do evil.) The job of a bounty hunter (also rated from 1-6) is to neutralize the bad guys by apprehending them based on their "badness", in ways regular upholders of the law can't.
Mr. Brownstone will entertain you with his ability to handle low level ones to threes, to hard core fives and sixes.
Highly recommend.

Best way to re-read the series

This is my second time reading the Unbelievable Mr Brownstone. Last time it was more broken up since i was reading usually within 48 hours after publication.
Must admit this is the ultimate way to enjoy reading a series. Even better, I've discovered after my cataract surgery was cancelled due to covid-19 that some i was having difficulty focusing after a couple hours of reading, that my echo dot (Alexis) can read my kindle books for me. I must admit I prefer to read my books but if it is too difficult,I let Alexis read then to me. I've gotten use to listening to my books 📚as i fall asleep. I just guess how sleepy i am and will start a sleep timer for 30 minutes to an hour.
I love the changes in Trey, going from a gang member to a suit wearing bounty hunter. His thoughts using his handkerchief, how a web site has said a slob wiped on his shave. . . Demonstrated in just a few words how much effort he had put into the smallest part odd coming of as not being just a dressed up gang. Think I'll be reading the Omnibus Two next. Great books highly recommend!🤓👍💖📱📚❗❕❗

Even the Author Notes are exciting. Please read these books. They are fantastic.

This is the first "can't put it down" long book I remember reading. The premise is more than believable, it's almost expected (as in, of course, why didn't I see that soonet) by anyone who's read science fiction and fantasy all their life.

The action is fast and spellbinding. I could barely wait to get to the next word, the next sentence, the next paragraph.

I'm so glad I did the "Look Inside" I'd read 4 chapters before I realized it.

Let me thank Michael Anderle, Mr. Brownstone's author for sending out notices of the box set (1-6) for $ .99. Also, thank you beyond measure for making these books available with Kindle Unlimited. Great of us actually have access to unlimited funds like Brownstone.

Thank you again for all your hard work so the rest of us can make Mr. Brownstone part of our lives.

Oh my gosh!

I read a lot of book but it seems. I have gotten stuck in a reading while of only the same or similar books lately. So when I saw this one I was sure that it would not be something I would like. Not was I suprised. Not only did I !Iike it I really loved it. It was fun of action, mystery and love. What more could you ask for? I'm stopping long enough to write before I go straight to the next set. It is really a wonderful read for most of us and I highly recommend this unless you don't want a book with cursing but if you want fun and excitement grab and start reading!

Action packed series with a likeable Hero

This is a very long series. I read Book 1, and then this 6 book set was offered. I liked the first book enough to read this set....but I'm still not sure if invested enough to continue with such a long series. The Hero is likeable, but way too clueless. I like the Heroine. Lots of action. Very strong and frequent had language. No sex scenes.

The first three books were just OK, but the second three got more intriguing, between the slight romance and the digging into the Hero's unknown past.

Wow!!!

Another winner from our beloved author! Having read the series completely bum backwards, I started by reading School of Necessary Magic series first, I'm even more enthralled by Brownstone and associates than I was prepared to be. I already have the next omnibus downloaded and ready to go. I just might go back and read everything all over again just to get more pleasure from them. I highly recommend reading anything and everything dealing with Oriceran!!!! Magic and mild tech lovers are in for the reads of a lifetime!!!

Favourite bounty hunter

James Brownstone, I wonder who they would cast as him if they turned the Unbelievable Mr Brownstone series into movies, cause I think they would catch people’s interests as movies, especially because the books are so damn good. They would be up there with the Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy, Indiana Jones and even Star Wars.
Brownstone keeps growing in strength as character and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Suspend your disbelief and meet the real Mr. Brownstone here.

Sadly he doesn't bite. His bark is quite tasty though! James likes to keep things simple. He takes down bad guys than relaxes with BBQ and his best friend. Then he met a nice girl; things will never be the same. This boxed set kept the action going. The characters and universe are expanded. Violence and profanity when called for.

More fun from the pen of Michael Anderle

The Brownstone series was recommended by a Facebook page as being a while lot of fun with unique characters and snarky dialog. The recommendation was absolutely dead on. I have really enjoyed this omnibus of Books 1 - 6. Now I 'm off to download Book 7 and the following books.

Another great story line. Books1-6

You just keep surprising me with your imagination. It's funny that you have me excited about a genre that I don't read but, here I am, making this a 5 star. I just couldn't put this down. Started with the Nomads, next with Bethany Ann, and now with Mr. Brownstone. Just keep bringing it.6

Thank you Michael Todd/Anderle! I read these books when they first came out and loved them! Now I have the 1st box set, and I can re-read them. Plus, as a Special from our favorite author, this box set was well within my getting shorter everyday budget. It's all mine ... anytime I want it, and I love this series.

Fantastic

Wow - just wow! I wish I could give this a rating of 6 stars but 5 will have to do. If you like action and magic with a kick a*s bounty Hunter then you must buy this boxset. You can just buy the first in the series but I guarantee that you will want to binge read the rest of the books so just save yourself some effort.

What a Fun Romp!

This is a Crazy Wild Ride. There’s plenty of Magic and Action with interesting characters. I Love It. James Brownstone is a Bad-ass bounty hunter who like to keep it simple. Things become complicated when helps a girl who found his dog. You have to read the books to know more of the story.

Entertaining and fast paced

My only objection in these books is language. I realize the characters are tough but someone raised in an orphanage by priest even the gang banger could clean it up quickly and was very intelligent. Other than that I found it hard to put down eager to find out his origin

Hooked...

I’m am loving this universe. I accidentally found Magic Opps, and am 100% hooked. Can’t wait to read the next and see where all the characters led us. I have enjoyed the humor and action. It’s a new genre of books for me! Thankfully there are a ton written and I can get lost here for a while.

Onward to the next set!

If there were a higher rating I would give it. The storyline just keeps growing and getting better. I read them a little out of order as I started with Alison's series and then found out about Brownstone and how it all started. I would and have already recommended the whole series to everyone that I know who love fantasy!

Another great , larger than life character brought to life

I have enjoyed these books from start to finish. The characters r all well developed and I'm really looking forward to What finding out more about Brownstone and where he comes from. I don't normally like lots of expletives but in this case it fits the characters. I will definitely be reading the next lot of stories.

Loved this series

This series was highly recommended to me by my son. In fact he would not quit bugging me to read it. Wow, was he right. The stories are inventive and the characters worth rooting for. I am jumping right in the next group of books because I can't wait to see where James Brownstone and company takes me.

A Good Man

Throughout this series of books what struck me was how life shapes us and how we change as people enter our lives. I enjoyed the thrill of James chasing down and fighting the various bounties and gangs but I also enjoyed immensely the gradual change in life expectations that James experienced. A wonderful set of books with an allegorical depth that's refreshing.

Fast paced, more action than anyone could hope for!

I love this flawed hero! As he grows as an individual, we - the readers - are privy to his thoughts and reasoning.
Even though he grows up in an orphanage, we’re not hit over the head with the religious aspects of his world. He is simply a good, if violent at times, man.
An engaging read! James Brownstone never disappoints!

This will tug at your heartstrings

I’m so glad this is an omnibus edition! I can’t wait to see what happens next. The books deal in several kinds of magic not the least of which is someone turning their life around. James Brownstone is addicting. I want to know much, much more about what happens next to each character.

Another series that will keep you up...

Bought the first book. Liked it immediately and decided to buy the series. Lots of late nights later and I'm going to have to buy the next set of books. Michael Anderle is a threat to good sleep and my wallet but damn, does he write good books!

Holy Butt-Kicker Batman !

Hilarious, irreverent, and full of action/adventure. All the characters are vivid, strong, and full of crazy magic of all kinds, even the bad guys. If you don't like strong language, stop now and forever hold your peace.

Great omnibus

I have read these books previously , as they were released. This omnibus edition seemed somehow better. Maybe because I didn't have to wait for the next release. Just kept reading.
Thanks for releasing the books this way.

Awesome

I chose this rating because I really liked this box set. I already read dark by nature so when I found the sets for James Brownstone i thought awesome. It helped in knowing how James, Shay, and Allison became to know one another i have no dislikes with this book

Very good series

Now I am caught up (mostly) with who James Brownstone is and how his family (Shay and Alison) came into his orbit. Disappointed that his full origins (where is he from) was not reveled.

I will now turn to the second half of the Alison Brownstone saga.

I enjoyed this series

Although there's lots of foul language and violence, the characters and the plot pulled me in. I like the focus on people and fighting evil. The reality of magic working on Earth and aliens with magic keeps things interesting.
