I don't like the ending. Hindi man lang hinayaan si Amber umpisahan yung plano niya, nakialam agad yung mafia. Hindi man lang hinayan maging boss girl 😭
And I hate Gray. Big red flag. Nakakainis siya. Feel ko masyadong favor si author dito kay Gray e. Masyadong kinawawa si Amber.
Nakakainis na alam ni Gray lahat. (Book 1 to 3) Like siya palagi yung bida sa investigation. I'm not satisfied. Nakakairita.
edit: Have a lot of things to say about book 2 and 3 but I'm just too tired right now. Once i rr this book again I'll edit it. But one thing is for sure is, it's gonna be a rant review.

girl what the fuck. i can't believe i finished this. seriously, what the fuck was that ending?? this review may contain spoilers so...
gray's confession in the earlier chapters was not it. he was basically insinuating that amber is too dumb for not realizing his true feelings for her. he mentions about actions being better than words, but his actions consists of doing something sweet and romantic to amber and not explaining or brushing it off the next scene. not to mention his scenes with math, he doesn't do or say things to clear it up. it was mentioned that math is just helping gray to get amber but it doesn't seem that way. no way in hell that math doesn't like gray with the way she acts.
+ can't you all let a girl grief on her own way.
you can say that jeremy is the comic relief character but he's actually really annoying rather than funny. he has his moments, but he is too much of a... pushover?
i know they're high school detetctives but i find them too nosy. they're smart kids who are interested in mysteries and can solve them, but they're still kids, who has no business being in real police work. if the crime is done in school, it's understandable, but if it's outside and they're not directly involved, it's just weird. i mean this story has mafia so idk anymore.
i said this on my review with the first book, but the stereotypes present in this book bother me so much. i just repeat in my head that this was written years before or else i would have dropped the series early on.
fuck gray, ryu, cooler, and every other guy. i want amber with victoria.
my review is all over the place lol. i just wanna add that there were so much unnecessary chapters and so many unanswered questions.

Some may be negative towards this book but I'll be honest, the ending is good. It's perfect in my eyes. I'll explain. (spoilers)
Amber's character regression is actually painful to see but reasonable, she's surrounded by people who invalidates her feelings that's why her anger didn't eat her whole being and resorted to hiding it all instead.. But that didn't stop her from being badass at all, she still stood strong until the end. The plot twist about her being the "suspect" added more to her burden too, which failed the plan but they still made it.
Amber destroying the org's database was poetic for me tbh, a lot of people have saved and protected her because of Genesis and now in return, she destroyed Genesis to free them all. She destroyed the organization that took many things from her. Although the villain is still alive, Amber's move silenced them for years. Props to Ate Tammii
