I am an animal.

"...As I said, she is flawed.”
Purr increasing in volume, his words soft despite the rasp and ugliness of his language, the foreigner spoke and the translator supplied, “If you use that word again to describe my kor’yr , I will rip out your throat, castrate your children, and see that your mate is defiled.”

This dude put DROPS OF HIS CUM in her food as a form of manipulation and then rubbed it all over his body to further worsen her "heat"😭😭😭. My Christian mother needs to throw me out with the dogs after I licked up every drop of this nasty ass book. No plot, just gushing fluids.

3 stars on principle, that little bitch that common folks call a hero should have made an appearance in the first half of the book when i still cared about his irrelevant self.

on the bright side, i appreciated that the whole time spent in the clutches of alphas wasn't turned into a rape fest for this poor girl but at the same time proved emotionally intense and traumatizing for a reader.

i actually applaud the author because i didn't bail out even with no hero in sight. she just wrote about alphas who were verbally and physically abusing the omega heroine so why would i quit it tho. 😌 also scammed us for a second, almost made us believe (desperate to find a sliver of romance throughout the first half of the story) someone else entirely was gonna be the man. good job.

i am not a rabid partisan of excessive description of bodily fluids but here

as always the only excuse i have at my disposal - this was disgustingly hot.

@finally an omegaverse book that i didn't entirely hate. they're right, practice makes perfect, i'm not a hater anymore <3

Oh my friggen god I bloody adored The Golden Line (Knotted,#1) like so much.
Just when I think it can't get any better than my previous Addison experience I get this little gem.
I don't really want to share this; nope nope nope.
I want to keep the delectable delicious Simin and all his deep grumbly purrs all to myself; he's not yours girls; This Adorable Alpha is all mine.

tumblr_n4zxwyhog81swbfwgo1_400.gif

Okay okay, I suppose I'm being greedy trying to keep Simin all to myself I can share the love if I absolutely have to.
So this was really a tale of two halves for me; one of which I entered rather blindly.
I really was quite literally in the dark towards where this was ultimately heading.
Experiencing alongside Morgaine her frightful treatment at the hands of her Alpha tormentors.
I was there as they broke her with there unapologetic conditioning and as she hit rock bottom my heart hurt so much for this poor confused and traumatised girl.
Frantically looking around for someone to save her I was losing all hope.
That was why it was so special to see Simin take a step out of the stereotypical box and attempt with his whole entire being to rebuild Morgaine's shattered psyche.
To come along and take this supposed feral omega for himself but also to actually see her as an individual and person in her own right was bewitching.
So this one for me; had as ever everything that I usually find captivating and hypnotic when it comes to this authors work.
All the usual magnetism you'd expect was still produced but this was alongside a much more softer overall approach when it came to her Alpha than we are usually given.
Don't mistake me Simin is as Alpha as they come but he also came with the ability to place his omega at a much higher importance than his own needs and wants and it was magic.

tumblr_npunooE65J1u6osmfo1_500.gif

Simin understood the best way to gain his omega Morgaine's heart was ultimately through her trust; he had her lust but as his end game he wanted her soul also.
He was much more romantic than his predecessors and was not afraid to voice his feelings but rather than emasculating him it only enhanced his overall allure.

giphy.gif

I also think taking away the ability to communicate through language and only through an interpreter brought a new layer to Alpha and Omega expectations.
Much more care was taken considerably on Simin's part because of the lack of verbal cues.
It made it much more crucial to observe the non-verbal signs in each other.
So this had everything you would usually expect from this series but with such a difference in approaches than what we are usually used to.
I have to say, I'm equally a fan of both ways.
I also loved the finale here; where it left us, on edge and salivating at the mouth for that next anticipated instalment.
I feel like I am poised, waiting, breathe bated in expectation; the scene has been set with such finesse.
Addison Cains omegaverse universe is fast becoming one of my all-time favourite series I can't get enough of it, whatever light the participants are portrayed in.
So before I go I should mention that this is an extended reworked story from the Royally Mine anthology that was originally titled Consumed.
That was a short story that is no longer available; "The Golden Line" is now a full-length novel and has been extensively improved on.
This is a series I can't recommend highly enough and gets my whole-hearted seal of approval every single time.
Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of "The Golden Line (Knotted,#1)" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

Not sure how to put this.

I’m struggling to write this review the same way I struggled to finish this book. What a frustratingly depressing story. Never did the heroine actually love and cherish her “mate”, she was hormonally impulsed to be with him. That’s it. She was violated multiple times by multiple people, including being beaten and forced to watch violent rape videos after being ripped from her mother and her home, as well as by her hero. By the time he gets to her she’s so spiritually broken she just lets it happen. And don’t get me started on the obscene amount of bodily fluids FREQUENTLY mentioned throughout the book. At one point I gagged. And while she grows to think he’s funny and nice, never is passion described for her thoughts towards him. It’s always that she can’t control her bodies reactions so she just gives in. She admits that she has no other options as he makes it clear she will never go anywhere. There was zero chemistry between the two characters. They never got to know each other aside from the “what do you like to do in your spare time” conversations and you don’t even meet the hero until the middle of the book. Which completely threw me for a loop. Obviously I hated the first male we’re made to think is the hero. But I was hoping he’d eventually catch on and stop violating her. Every single character introduced was dislikable. And the heroine suffered so much trauma I was anxious and upset throughout the entire book. Just hoping that something good would happen. If you enjoy reading books about rape trauma and zero consent or rights then this book is right up your alley. If you prefer loving and passionate books then run for the hills.

Now this story was freaking hot!! 🔥🔥🔥

I can't tell you how grateful I am that I grabbed this little gem up when I could. It was a slice of sci-fi romance deliciousness and I'm eager for more stories from the Omegaverse. Aside from the fact that I couldn't stand the heroine, Morgaine, I loved pretty much everything about this book, such as the purring, the rubbing and exchanging of bodily fluids, the 'slick', the knot, the true Alpha persona, the submissiveness of the Omegas, and the absolutely incredible world building. As the blurb says, Simin was a truly attentive Alpha, and while his methods may seem a bit forceful to some, they got the desired result and turned up the heat between this couple in ways I couldn't have expected.

If you find yourself in the mood for an Alpha who completely dominates his Omega in the most manipulative of ways, while putting her wants and feelings before his own, you won't want to miss out on this story either.

*** 3.5 Stars!!!***

I was very curious about this author and her new series! First of all I need to say that this book has dark themes and isn’t for the faint of heart! The first half of the story I found to be frustrating at times, and hated what the heroine had to endure in the arms of her enemies. I’m glad I persevered through to the next half of the book though... that is when Simin enters the heroine’s life... and even though she fought her circumstances full heartedly, Simin worked very hard to gain any kind of affection from her! He was a worthy hero and I fell for him very quickly!

This is story is written in a unique setting with aliens called the Alphas!!! They search for their Omegas to make their lives more fulfilled. I had never heard of this alien universe before but now that I have been introduced... I definitely want to check out more. It did take me a little bit to become engaged with the universe as this was not a flowery type of story. This world is violent and their ways are very hard to swallow or accept. The theme is very sexual and very dark. I would take the author’s warnings to heart... This world is not one that everyone would enjoy!

For myself, when I’m in the mood for a darker theme to my books; I am definitely going to check out more of this author’s violent worlds!! I always love it when I come across a story that is unique!!

4.5 STARS!
The weighted stare of a demon held her in terrified thrall.
As always, this author serves up the best dark and twisted tales.
"You'll have my heart. I'll have your soul."
I love that while a lot of authors shy away from examining the emotional upheaval their characters face in these kinds of stories, Ms. Cain dives right in and makes it her focus.
To be Omega was to be consumed, fed upon, and discarded.
She's the only author I've read who can take a truly unequal power dynamic and forge it into something more.
Choice mattered to her, even if she never really had one at all.
If you're interested in reading about this fabulously depraved Omegaverse, don't start with this one . . . go back to the beginning with Born to be Bound.
Lust was an empty, hollow emotion.

Told in dual POV, 3rd person, it’s the first installment in the "Knotted" series and it’s not cliffy. It doesn’t have a good or a strong plot. It should be read only for your entertainment. I was struggling with this one, lucky me it was a quick read. It happened in the Omegaverse universe and I haven’t read anything in this category so at first, I was a bit confused. All in all, I didn’t like it that much but I hope you enjoy it more than me!

This was almost a 5 star read for me. Almost. But the author had to go and drop the detail that the hero had HUNDREDS of sexual partners. Yes, hundreds. Why... why do I need to know that. The power imbalance was already massive in the H/h dynamic so adding on that extra layer was almost too much. And of course the h was a virgin.

Again I plead with authors, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy do you do this!!!

This book has an intensity I wasn't expecting from Omegaverse.
(Heard it was a short story earlier.)
But the ending is SUDDENLY there, leaving a few loose ends fluttering about. The h/H are together and all, but we know their story is going to continue in Etaine's book. And this second book doesn't seem to exist (TBA).
Still, a fair 3.75*

We know AC can go pretty dark with abuse and degradation but here, even with some discomfiting bits where the h has zero control, the focus is more on her emotional and intellectual tumult, and the mind-fukk that she undergoes as part of the the conditioning and grooming in captivity, rather than on actual sex/ sexual acts.

Once she's abducted by the Alphas, she loses all control on her life, and in fact becomes quite another person - a very scared and timid person. BUT she doesn't give up and roll over just because she's told that she's an omega. Even when she's totally cowed down, she doesn't accept it or start 'liking it'. She hates the loss of control. Poor girl. She just wants back her old life with her mother.
Basically, she doesn't think or act like an omega or understand what it entails - nests, mating, estrous etc. When forced her body reacts like an omega but only marginally. Her mind rebels against her omega-ness.
That's what's carries this book. A new perspective.

Simin is who Shephard would have been had his childhood not been so awful

Sorry but Simin is mine, I've licked him and marked him, so hands off! I will however let you read this magnificent story and share in the unadulterated sexiness that is this hot alpha male. This is the first book I've read in one sitting for absolutely ages, it really is one of those stories you just don't want to put down. This has been a much anticipated release and very often the end product doesn't live up to the huge expectations you have built around it. This not only lived up to but far surpassed my hopes and expectations.

The story originated in the Royally Mine anthology, where it was titled Consumed. It has been reworked, extended and improved (which given how fantastic that story was almost surprised me until I remembered this was written by the awesome sauce that is Addison Cain). That was a short story, this is a full length novel that hasn't just had an extra bit tacked on the end but has been skilfully unpicked and reworked into something that is mind-blowingly astounding.

Morgaine knew to fear the Nierra Alpha's who raided her planet on a regular basis. She had managed to stay undetected but a jealous neighbour has alerted them to her presence and Morgaine will do anything to protect her mother. Taken away to their ship, in order to be trained as a 'proper' omega, rather than the feral and 'damaged' creature they judge her to be, Morgaine soon learns that even her worst nightmares didn't even touch on how cruel these 'caring' and 'loving' alpha's could be.

Simin is a prince and Heidron (high up leader is my best translation!) of the people the Nierra claimed to protect Morgaine's town from. Warned that his kind rape and murder foreign Omegas, Morgaine is terrified when she is given to Simin to avoid further conflict.

I absolutely adored both Simin and Morgaine, their story is mesmerising and my heart bled at the difficulties they had to overcome and swelled at the sheer love, honour and respect displayed too. Simin is unusual for this author in that he ISN'T an antihero, though that never takes away from the fact that he is a rough, tough and fearless alpha. There is some dubious consent, we wouldn't expect anything else, and a fair chunk of darkness to wade through whilst Morgaine is on the Nierran's ship.

I don't have adequate words to convey how amazing this book is to read. All I can do is highly recommend it as one not to be missed. Oh and roll on Etaine's story.

Ick.

But probably not for the reason you think...

This was one convoluted, miserable, badly written, incomprehensible load of crap. A stream of consciousness without consciousness, just a stream of shit. Literally.

I'm sorry, I managed to skim through 50% of this and then gave up. I was completely unable to make head or tails of it. There was absolutely no plot or story in this book, at least none which moved anywhere, was understandable, had at least some logic, or - whatever. Nope. Just a huge amount of word-vomit which achieved nothing and was quite meaningless.

Once again, this was recommended to me as some sort of ultra-dark, super-racy and extremely well-written dark erotica/erotic romance. Well, as I already said, I would have liked a story. Maybe a description here and there. Possibly an explanation or two about the people populating it, people who randomly vomited large amounts of dialogue and/or mental monologue, but otherwise did little. I mean - really - there was practically no action for at least 48 of these 50%.

There also was precious little sex for anything purporting to be erotic romance in there, an instance of rape watched on a video, and else nothing that I noticed. Cocks were constantly referred to, as were cunts, but neither was described, not in a winning, and neither in any other manner. The impression I got was one of a very curious and highly unhealthy opinion on sexuality. Again, this has no root in any action or story, it's just the choice of words.

I won't be reading this author again. I do like more action, plot and story in my books. I wish for a slightly more acceptable POV regarding sex per se (yes, this is possible even when you write about rape and slavery). I absolutely need more, MUCH more eroticism in anything romantic or erotic.

But most importantly: I prefer books which make sense.

Addison Cain continues to be a 1-click author for me. I don't even read the synopsis of her books. I just dive straight in.
This one... I must admit... I was starting to get a little antsy and flustered with the story for a few chapters, until a certain glass cage got shattered, and then from there on, I was in that glorious place ... the coveted place book lovers want to be in...
This is the place authors strive to PUT you in!
I was there... THERE... from the moment Simin was on the scene, until the end of the book. I'm still in that place the next day. It's a little bit like a state of post-coital bliss for readers.

I only doubted for a short time, but I was SO glad to have been wrong.
LOVED Simin so EFFING much.

They're coming .....

Morgaine has a talent that she has to keep secret as to share this talent would have dire consequences, if not certain death, for those she loves. No, it's her burden to bear though it has saved her countless times from being one of those selected by the invading Alphas.

Unfortunately, Morgaine is forced to reveal herself when her mother is threatened. Morgaine, an omega female, now finds herself a prisoner of the Alphas with an uncertain future as no one captured by the Alphas' ever returns.

* * * *

Warning: This is a dark tale that does include abuse, dub/non-con scenes that might stretch comfort zones, and graphic sex. For any readers who have read previous Addison Cain Omegaverse stories, this is nothing new so it's more for potential new fan base readers of this author.

This is a highly emotional tale that does conclude in a 'to be continued .... ' vs cliffhanger sort of ending. Don't know how else to say that this is a complete story, but, not quite a complete story as there is so much more I THINK in store for the main characters of this story.

I feel that this book/story really features two separate halves. The first half features Morgaine and her captors. The second half features Morgaine and ..... well, this is when I cite that this information would be spoiler information and you have to read the story for yourself to find out more.

The romance (though a number of scenes are non/dub con) scenes are graphically graphic and do include knotting, though to be clear there is no paranormal/shapeshifter characters. I would include BDSM but feel that would be deceptive as the focus is more power exchange d/s with a side of caning so adding that tag might lead potential readers to confuse traditional BDSM aspects. In Omegaverse world building, Omegas do parallel submissive's but in a different way/manner/role.

The secondary characters do add depth to the world building and do support the main characters in this world but little more. In other words, if the secondary character has no direct interaction with the main characters, they fall by the wayside. Quite a number of times I felt myself wanting more structure to these characters and wanting more fall back on them but I guess the idea that these characters could return was an option (?) which is why author might (?) have kept them as fluid as they were (?). Not going to mention any standouts as this is a new release with quite a number of twists and turns so naming names would be a form of spoiler info. One thing though. KARMA. I am so on board that KARMA is in one or two of the secondary characters futures as it's not right to leave me (the reader) not getting my taste of revenge over certain unresolved portions of this book. Just sayin'

My issues. First was that there were several editorial/grammar errors that were irritating. Nothing worse than reading along enjoying myself when an obvious oops shows up that should have been caught. The other issue I had is from the back seat quarterback chair. This is a dark romance story that includes twists and turns. Love love love when that happens as I read a lot and enjoy the ones that stretch my reading experience by including content that elevates a straightforward story to something more. Whether that more is a blindside, twist, moral ethical dilemma, dark/horror that might give me nightmares, whatever. In the case of this story I felt the focus on the first 'half' of the story was important, yes, but left the second half, which I enjoyed so much more, wanting. The second half then became too long and drawn out in regards to something I can't disclose as it would be spoiler, to the point I really resented the conclusion scene. Don't do that to me - it was a cop out sort of thing (not the epilogue) I resented. Anyway, that's my take on it.

For those fans of Omegaverse dark erotic thrillers, this is a new series to check out. Want to again include that this book does not contain any shifter characters, only the animal based personalities and characteristics unique to Alpha, Beta, & Omega mindset.

Can't wait for the second installment (which is untitled, not as yet named, and with no release date) to see where the author next takes me.

I HATE ALLL THE MOTHERFUCKING ALPHAS FROM THE FIRST HALF OF THIS BOOK. BUNCH OF ASSHOLES WHO DONT DESERVE WOMEN OR SEX IN THEIR LIVES. EVER.

😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬

So, eh, this book. This ducking book made me so mad in the same areas and sad in others. I rarely read a book where a man doesn’t know how to treat a women, shifter or not. So this book, UGH! I wanted to chop off all the dicks.

Well, until she was saved. Oh, and by she. I mean migraine. Unusual name for an omega..but she’s not my kid. She’s taken away from her mother and basically mind fucked by these assholes. I hated the way they “trained” her for the alphas and how they just saw her as another notch on their bed post. They disgusted me and I wanted them all to die.

Then there’s this beautiful foreign angel who takes her away. Simon, oh lord, I loved him so freaking much. He cherished her and even though she was broken - he tried to gain her trust. Boy did it take the entire ducking book for him to earn it..but it was so worth it.

HOWEVER, I did not like the ending. Mostly because of etaine! I need her back. I am happy that Simon and migraine have bonded and mated and whatever. I want babies. Plus her mom is back. I just hope that etaine is safe or at least kicks some asshole alpha butt.

3.5 stars for an interesting story and one that I would like to see continued.

I will admit at the start it was a bit dark and heart crushing in places and I did debate DNFing it but it didn't make sense to me that the story would continue on that particular story-line and I am glad that I stuck it out to get the ending.

Most annoying part is it feels like that start of a series (and is advertised as such) but two years later and no sign of a second book, I am worried!!

Addison knows how to make your toes curl as she paints a brutal world for these Omegas and the Alphas who run it. With a wonderful blend of world building, character, and hot sex, Addison is a definite go to for a story that's in turns shocking, intriguing, and entertaining. Keep them coming!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars

Definitely one of my favorite omegaverses, but doesn’t have everything think that I like. I found the beginning, and pretty much the first half, to be way too long and almost pointless. You can basically skip over the entire first half and not only will you understand, but you will probably have a better reading experience.

Morgaine was a good character, but she had more potential than what was used. She was smart and resourceful, but was reduced to nothing. If you are going to introduce a powerful character, let them wield that power, if not just make them naturally weaker. That’s a lot better in my opinion.

Simin was a great hero in the last quarter, but other than that he was okay. I really liked how caring he was and how he tried to learn Morgaine’s language. I liked that he was a traditionalist, but able to change his ways for Morgaine.

Definitely would recommend if you like omegaverse, or even sci-fi romance!

The first half 3 stars, the second half 4 stars, Overall 4 stars

You have to be in the mood for an Addison Cain read. The books are dirty and a little dark. To my surprise this one was tamer than what I have read in the past.

I will have to split the book into two parts. The first part of the endurance. It’s what the main Heroine went through and trying to understand her weak character.

The second half is where the book picks up and to me that is where the story begins and we find a relationship.

I understood the need for the first half, although I felt like that part could have been explained in the first 25% of the book. The heroine lives with Beta, but she isn’t a Beta, she is an Omega. I’ve read other books by the author so I understand the dynamics of this world. If you are new to the series, I’m not sure if you will get it. Some of it is explained, but I don’t think in the detail as the other series.

She doesn’t like where she is taken. Men are men, they are forward, parade her naked and provide punishments when she doesn’t comply. I found this part a little slow and waiting for the smut. Because come on that’s what this book is about right? I was starting to get disappointed until we reach the second half of the book.

The Heroine begins to forge a relationship and it’s interesting to see how likable the Hero is. He’s the opposite of what we read from a dark book and I like him. Do I want all of my Heroes to be like him in the series? I don’t think so, but to have a “nice” guy is refreshing.

The book ends with this couple and the next book starts with another one. I’m curious to see how much fight the next Heroine puts up because she will be opposite of this Heroine.

This was a good read that I liked. Morgaine is an Omega living peacefully in her settlement with her mother. She hides when the Alpha's come thinking that her body is telling her to she is unaware that she is an Omega she hates the Alpha's she thinks that all they want to do is hurt her because of the things that some of them have done. For some reason Morgaine was annoying to me but as I continued to read I begin to feel sorry for her. First she was lost she was stole from her home the only home she knew by Esin to be trained on how to please her Alpha they called her feral and she was beaten then she over hears that other men will pay to use her for two years. When Simin who is a warrior prince smells her he knows that she is the one for him and he arranges to have her. The sex scenes in this book were hot and very arousing to me. Simin was very kind to her although they didn't speak the same language he only wanted to make Morgaine happy she was very afraid she thought that he was going to use her and kill her or let other men have sex with her. Simin takes her to a place where other Omegas help her. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Addison gives us another beauty with Golden Line! Originally called Consumed in the Royally Mine anthology, this story is expanded and (i didn’t think it could, but it is,really!) improved.
What happens to Morgaine after she’s caught by Nierra’s so-called Alphas,is horrific. Aboard their ship, they call her feral just because she refuses to surrender. They humiliate her, hurt her when she refuses to do as they wish. They even threaten to harm her sweet mother if she doesn’t obey.....They do everything they can to break her. And they have the nerve to tell her Omega’s are treasured?
She is in hell, ready to die,until....

An army of barbarians with their leader Simin board the ship to talk to the commander. When he catches her scent,he demands she’s handed over to him and the Nierra’s comply in order to keep the peace. This huge, scarred alpha may look like a brute, but hé treats Morgaine like the treasure she is. Question is,will he be able to erase her fears? Will he be able to convince her she’s safe with him, that he loves her?

I adore Simin, and if i could,i’d claim him myself.....but it seems i’ll have to wait in line for my turn, because a lot of others feel the same!
Can’t wait to hear more of what happens to Etaine, this is another series of Addison i absolutely love!

3.5 stars. I liked it!

Simply personal preference, but I loathed reading about Uriel and Esin and I slightly resent that 50% of the book went by before I was introduced to the MMC. Simin was great though, and such a breath of fresh air from Esin.

I think this is a good 'quick read' in the Omegaverse genre. I thought this was lacking in plot and action compared to Alpha's Claim, but I enjoyed watching Simin try to win over Morgaine.

This is also how cliffhangers should be handled, by all books, not just standalones leading to the next standalone in a series. My favorite series use these types of cliffhangers too. There is resolution to this story, the story coming to a close. Then Addison Cain allows the plot to expand into the next book, and the cliffhanger leads into the next book.

The trend of cliffhangers ending mid-scene, very abruptly is what I think is rubbing readers the wrong way. I've seen this especially with trilogies in the dark romance community. Alessandra Torre has blogged about this, and even advised authors to write one story -then split it up into 3 books (see HERE) . Authors then tend to create a cliffhanger mid-scene, and book 1 feels like part 1 of a story instead of a full story with a beginning, middle, and end.

I digress. The author didn't use the above strategy in this book, and I appreciate that. This was a good standalone - lacking in plot, but the characters had personality and it was engaging watching them learn how to come together.

I rolled my eyes when I got to the end of the book and Addison Cain wrote: "What will become of Etaine? Keep an eye out for book two, coming 2019!"

Well, 2019 came and went. She advertised that both Que and Knotted would be released in 2019 and that didn't happen. This is one reason why I've stopped trusting the author's release dates or promises about the next installment in a series. I don't mind waiting for books, but I like being able to trust authors when they make promises about releasing their books. Being teased that the next book is "coming soon," and then having to wait over a year with no real information about the status of upcoming releases is not my kind of anticipation.

The false promises, and hesitance to give readers real information about her series has made me wary of reading any new series this author might start. Combined with the authors lack of regard for reader's concerns about the status of the series, and her proclamations that she "writes what she wants to write when she wants to write it" has put me off of her other series for now. With that said, I think this author writes good standalones. I will consider reading them in the future. I will say I'm glad I read this book while it was in KU. This 208 pg. story ends at 94% and I don't love it enough to pay the $5.99 price tag. I won't read the next standalone in this series if it's priced at $5.99.

The half book is torture, the other half is wonderful.
I'm not so sure what are they? Human? Alien? 😅 But I enjoy reading it after the half.

The story is fascinating. It's seldom read a hero is called 'ugly' by the heroine in the entire book. But he is one of the most sincere, lovable, passionate hero that you can't love him not.

I wish I can read more of them, the end is too soon. The epilogue considers just HFN with a cliffhanger

Did I read a book by Addison Cain? I expected the H to treat h like the way the other alpha's treated her; as a possession to be used and abused. To read differently, I am surprised.
But moving on this is a milder version of AC's usual Omegaverse with a nicer Alpha than her usual ones. It could be because this is not a trilogy like her usual ones ...
Overall it made for a good and quick read
