A fun comic featuring journal comics by Luchie 2015-2018 with a delightful intro on how she started making comics, about her school, and some more. I really liked that the intro was like this and that we then started with the comics. The first comic is one from the Hourly Comic Day, which is a day I ABSOLUTELY love. Sure, it can be hard to find all the comics by all the artists I follow, so I am very happy when they pop up in books or sites completely. And we later get others as well. I also loved that she added her Inktober works (another event I love, a whole month of daily art). And then there are tons of comics, little inserts with her talking about the comics, and more. I loved seeing her work together. Some I recognised, but others were new and I absolutely loved that. There are also photographs and info on what she uses to draw (with cute illustrations to go with it). All in all, I would highly recommend this one. It was so much fun to read!
Yesssss, I finally got my copy of this! I missed the first printing and had to wait for the second one... I’ve been a big fan (a fan? a long time follower?) of Lucie. Basically all the comics I read online as a teen were autobiographical. Among Kate Leth and Noelle Stevenson’s comics, there were Lucie Bryon’s. This collection was so great and made me feel very nostalgic. Maybe I should restart my comic journal...
Aussitôt reçu, aussitôt lu ! C'est drôle et j'ai bien aimé voir l'évolution du style de la dessinatrice. Ça fourmille de détails et c'est drôle (au cas où vous ne l'auriez pas compris).
I own this book digitally and physically and let me tell you... It is so worth it. Can't wait for my next sick day or rainy day so that I can just huddle up in bed and reread all of the comics. Lucie's style is just so much fun and she is great at pacing and joke delivery. Would highly recommend!
