In this final book in the Flotilla series, the group tries to figure out just who it is that has stolen Paya Doshi's heart as she plans a trip to America.
Meanwhile, a resident of the Flotilla Project, Emery Brown, attempts to put her life together after losing her job because of an affliction beyond her control. She has all but given up on her dream of being an architect, and now works as a toll attendant at the last toll gate in London.
A chance meeting with a stranded motorist on her way home immerses Emery in a whirlwind romance with someone she could only ever have dreamed of.

The last book no no no . I am in love with all these people i protest why not end one of the other series you like why this one. I was in tears at the end I am sure you can change your mind there are plenty of stories left. Oh well at least I have my re-read to keep me happy. Thank you for a brilliant series that has been a great companion. I cannot recommend these books highly enough they are honestly great stories do yourself a favour and buy them all .
I love these characters. All their flaws, their quirks their wonderful personalities are so wonderful. Each story is like meeting up with a wonderful group of fantastic friends that make you smile and laugh.
Ughh! This is the only part about these books I don't like; waiting for the next one. I'm so shaking my fist at you right now, Erik Schubach. In the nicest possible way, of course. Hopefully the Pike will be the next one so I know if I'm right or not. Keep these great books coming and I will be a happy camper.
This was a short, but very sweet romance. The book ends with Paya leaving the ‘FIotilla’ and joining the ‘Pike’ series of books. I have really liked this series and if this is the last book, I will be sorry to see it end.
There are some minor things that weren’t quite right, but didn’t take anything from the story. While suffering from seizures Emery should not have been driving and given her medical history her licence would have been suspended.
I really enjoyed Flotilla:Paying the Toll. Quick, easy, fun read. Great to be back with the Flotilla team. OOOHHH, Paya coming to America! Can’t wait for that.
"Read" via Audible. Another cute story in Flotilla story line. HAving read the last book of the Pike series, I already know who Pia is going to meet. This story had a bit more interest for as my wife has a seizure disorder. I understood Emery's feeling as she tries to hide her seizures from others. All in all another good story. I hope the rest of the Music of the Soul series gets done on audible soon.
