This one surprised me with how heartfelt it was!! You've got a hardworking, no-nonsense seme who's all passion and sincerity, paired with this blunt, rough-around-the-edges genius of an uke, and somehow they just click. Their relationship builds slowly over bowls of ramen and it's honestly kind of poetic? Like, the way ramen isn't just about the noodles or the broth, it’s the balance between both. That’s them. They don’t make sense without each other🥹💓
Also, the old-school art style was soo good!!! It fits the tone perfectly, there’s a certain warmth to it that just adds to everything. Loved their dynamic, loved how they grow into something soft and steady. Just really good stuff.
I think it's great that the manga doesn't only revolve around the couple and their way towards romance but that it shows that they also have a life and something that is important to them besides a relationship/getting into each others pants.
I loved the uke!!! The story revolved around ramen, and let's be sincere that made me hungry and I wanted to eat it so bad...ok that's not the point, but the thing is that I still fell in love with the MCs and together they were so damn hot. They felt so real and I wish the manga had more ch.
To be sincere , they were one of the best couple I have ever seen in a yaoi manga.
Ramen erotica? Pretty much. If they weren't banging, they were talking about ramen. Not a huge fan of the art nor the story. The stalking horse character was an odd one too, but I guess it just plays on the notion that if you are doing well, you are doing too well and don't deserve it, which is just crazy. What's the point of Gambare if you feel bad for doing well?
I wasn't really hooked at first, maybe because of the art (I don't like skinny, fit leads) but it slowly grew on me till I love it completely. I like that they were both first business partners, then friends, then friends with beneftis, then best friends who really liked each other, to be completely in love. The transition from friends to lovers was very well done, and it was very romantic.
I love that they both had the same goal (to make the best ramen) and how they complimented each other: one has the tongue (the discerning taste) and the other the hands (the cook). And while the best ramen was the their dream, they also put the other as their most important person. Their sexy scenes together was all raw and realistic, it is a very good manga tbh.
At The end of an old alley, Yoruji Is always looking up at The night sky. He's finally opened His own ramen shop, "Yogoto ((nightly))", but despite The name, it's far, far away from His beloved stars. However, late one night, Yoruji discovers Akemi, who possesses a very talented tongue. And so, The two of them begin yo work together, in order to make The best tasting ramen. But Is this The only amazing talent Akemi has...? It's only ramen, it's only love. While Yoruji and Akemi wait desperatly for Dawn, please enjoy The taste of Ueda Aki's strong-flavored love!
Cute story about a man that really loves ramen but struggles to make it extraordinary. He meets Akemi, a guy that has an amazing tongue and can help him make his ramen even better. They connect over food, but the connection goes beyond that and spreads to their personal life.
I enjoyed the story, the couple’s chemistry was cute to see and you end up rooting for Yoruji’s restaurant to succeed.
