This graphic novel for early readers features a family of mice and their chief enemies, pirate cats. In this story, the mice visit Leonardo DaVinci in France in order to save the Mona Lisa from the pirate cats. The story is a little strange and the mystery very obvious but the children enjoyed the adventure. The pictures are a little cartoonish but it's fun to look for Leonardo DaVinci's inventions in the background. The illustrations also contain fact bubbles that explain the history behind the story. I appreciated that a lot. I actually learned some things about Leonardo DaVinci myself.

5 stelle.
Abbastanza complesso da leggere dati i salti temporali.

Want a quick and fun way to teach your young kids about who is Leonardo da Vinci, his famous painting of the Mona Lisa and also about Renaissance Italy? This fictional graphic novel for kids is not only fun but along the way you learn history! In volume six of the Geronimo Stilton Graphic Novel series the mouse and journalist Geronimo Stilton goes back into time along with his friends to stop the Pirate Cats from changing events in history.
What are the Pirate Cats up to this time? They are attempting to steal the Mona Lisa and it is up to a few group of mouse going back into time to stop them. But they must do so in such a way as to not reveal to the people of the times that they are from the future nor could they change history. Geronimo and his friends arrive at the castle of Cloux which is the historic location of where Da Vinci stayed at from 1517-1519. Readers will learn about the place where Da Vinci stayed at, his machines and inventions along with King Amboise who was Da Vinci’s patron!
My three kids and I enjoyed this work.

This is another fun story in the Geronimo Stilton Graphic Novels and our girls really love them. They are a bit of a pain to read aloud, but once you get into them, the plot moves quickly. We liked this tale about Leonardo da Vinci and his paintings and inventions as well as Francis I, his patron. With the extra blurbs of information within the story, we learned a little about Renaissance history, too. We are looking forward to reading the next book, Dinosaurs in Action!

I think the book was a great because it was about Geronimo Stilton and his friends with the Mona lisa and it was the "Pirate Cats" and that they saved the painter from the "Pirate Cats". But the thing is that Tersilla was Thea Stiliton in a mask and that Geronimo Stilton and his friends got the painting back and the painter which was the " Pirate Cats" master\teacher but why would they kidnap there own teacher and not the person who did the painting. And the book is called "Geronimo Stilton who stole the mona lisa?" by Geronimo Stilton.

Disclaimer: This series is another that I have translated, so once again, I'm prejudiced in favor...

Nonetheless, I have to admit that I think the Stilton graphic novels are cute and clever!
