A delightful Christmas read that takes place in a town called, Christmas! It has all the right ingredients, an attractive single mother, a hunky innkeeper, a cute 5-year-old, an older couple called Kringle and a puppy. Mix them all together and you get a romance that will warm your heart. Can Molly melt Noah´s heart in this frozen landscape? I´d love to stay at the charming Mistletoe Inn, especially at Christmastime.

Mistletoe Inn was on my Kindle for a while, and since it was the holiday, I decided to start reading it. I was quite pleased that the setting was in snow country in a fictional place named Christmas in Michigan. A divorced mom named Molly and her son Leo is headed for the Inn in heavy snow when a deer causes Molly to have a car accident. Molly is to take up a partnership of Mistletoe Inn with Noah, the owner. Lucky for her and Leo, they were close to their destination, and Noah came to their rescue.

And so begins a love story. Noah suffers from grief over losing his aunt, who originally founded the Inn. He is also self-conscious and filled with grief over his parents' loss when he was a kid. The fire that took their lives also burned him significantly. So, Noah is scarred inside and out. He is not a likely candidate to be a plus one in a love duet.

To explain more would risk spoilers. Let me say I'm not one for romance stories but enjoyed this novella very much. I'm not sure whether it was the writing quality or the fact that after I finished, I had a warm feeling about the characters and the conclusion. I know this story took me back to my own Christmas in Michigan and caused the kindling of those lovely memories.

If you want a heart-warming story that is well written, this one is for you.

I’m a big fan of Hallmark Holiday movies and “Mistletoe Inn” is the same type of feel-good story that I enjoy. Molly finds a new job after a divorce and heads with her son Leo to help run Mistletoe Inn. The mother and son find themselves in a blizzard--and crash. They’re rescued by her partner Noah. There’s an immediate attraction between them, but a lot of baggage they are both carrying, too. I love the relationship between Molly and Noah, and the gentleness Noah shows her son, Leo. It’s easy to imagine the beautiful scenery through descriptions and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the guests and residents in Christmas. This is a sweet tale about second chances during the holiday season. If you’re a fan of charming holiday romances, this is a short-story you’ll want to read.

Readers of Christmas romances will love this sweet, clean, feel-good novella. Molly and Leo, her 5-yr-old (cute as a button) son, are starting their lives over. They’re on their way to Christmas, a small town where she’ll work as a partner in the quaint Mistletoe Inn. They’ve almost arrived when a snowstorm hits and their car goes off the road. Fortunately, Noah, the inn’s handsome owner, and his big dog Blaze, are ready for a rescue.

Noah may be heroic, and though the attraction between the two is instantaneous, he’s also surly and uncertain with some emotional baggage that impacts his choices. Leo is undaunted and his childlike openness is hard for the big man to resist. Almost as hard as Molly’s smile. Then a mistake happens that tests their growing relationship.

This book has it all: an adorable kid, a big dog, puppies, a warm inn, neighbors who look mysteriously like Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and a Merry Christmas. Recommended to readers who love a little Christmas happily ever after.

Molly McCarty is pursuing an opportunity to invest in a Bed & Breakfast Inn.Located in Michigan. She and her 5 yr old son, Leo are driving there in the dead of winter.Well, they were almost there until the snow storm turned into whiteout conditions. And a deer ran in front of her car and she ended up in a ditch.Noah Kincaid finds them and brings them into the inn to stay. Now she realizes who he is and the person she spoke to was his Aunt. Who just passed away nine days ago.He is missing her terribly at Christmas time. But Molly and Leo change that for him in a good way. A sweet and loving story about Molly getting a second chance. A truly delightful Christmas or anytime romance! Molly McCarty and her son Leo are on their way to Christmas, Michigan. Molly has become a partner in a Bed & Breakfast in the small town and is looking for a new future for her and her young son. Not expecting so much snow, Molly avoids hitting a deer and her car goes off of the road. Noah Kincaid, the other half owner of the B&B finds Molly’s car and rescues her and her son. When Noah was a child, he was scarred in the fire that killed his parents. He has become a loner and is still grieving the loss of the woman who took him in after his parents died, his great Aunt Betty. Will Noah open his heart to Molly? Will the magic of the season help to bring healing and love to these special people? I couldn’t wait to read this wonderful story by Ms. Biggar (one of my favorite authors). She writes such unique stories with genuine, endearing characters. I read this in one sitting…and when finished, wanted to read it again! I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

A gentle Christmas romance, embracing the Spirit of Christmas and reminding one of the important things in life, this love story is well written and touched all the right spots for me. I could identify with Molly as she branched out and took life on her own terms, but not without fear and trepidation. Noah has his insecurities but he is a gentle giant that just needed one woman and small boy to break through his reserve. The novel is short but nevertheless leaves one with a warm glow. I love Christmas books and the perfect holiday book has to be full of heart and romance, healing, redemption, warm and cozy Christmas themes and maybe a hint of the magic of the season. Throw in a small child and a dog and you have me. Mistletoe Inn has all that and more. Noah is on his way to becoming a grumpy recluse. He bears the scars, inside and outside from the fire that killed both his parents when he was a small child. His aunt, who raised him and he loved, recently died too. I think that she was a wise woman because just before she died she sold part interest in her B&B called Mistletoe Inn to a young divorcee with a small child wanting to make a new start. Like it or not, Molly starts to thaw the ice that encases Noah's heart. And, in a place like Christmas, Michigan, covered in snow and Christmas joy,and surrounded by young families and couples coming to the Inn for a romantic holiday who can resist romance? The novella has some depth and lots of heart too with themes of grieving and starting over. You will quickly feel like Christmas when you read this! I volunteered to read an advanced copy because I love all of Jacquie's book and this is my honest review.

What a great Christmas story!. Love can melt a heart that has endured more pain than most people endure in their childhood. Who knew the Mistletoe Inn in Christmas, Michigan would also teach the reader's heart and melt it too with love for this story. Th characters are so likable. Molly McCarty needs a new start on life and is so brave leaving her Canadian home to work at the Inn in Michigan. She has a cute five year old son named Leo. Noah Kincaid helped his aunt run the Inn until she died. He will need some Christmas magic to survive the holidays. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

I really like the concept for the story but it's one of those that would be much better if it were longer. I feel like parts were missing or needed a little more detail. You got a little bit of a backstory for the character of Noah but you don't learn a lot about Molly.

Mistletoe Inn is a heart-warming, Hallmark style Christmas romance. I had to read it straight through. (It appears in the anthology Love, Christmas 2.) This story checks all my boxes - a divorced woman with a young son needing to start over, a troubled man who lost his parent and nearly his own life in a fire who was raised by his aunt who has just died of cancer, a blinding snow storm, a dog and puppies, and Christmas. Will these three share a Christmas miracle? I think you will enjoy this story.

Lovely short 🎀holiday💕 romance with two individuals trying to start over and presented with someone who can help them heal and rebuild. I particularly felt for the hero floundering in his grief, but the heroine comes with a young son who livens things up. Plus, the dramatic start to the story was a great way to hook my interest which remained throughout. It's an easy, shorter read with a true holiday feel. How could it not have, when it's set in Christmas (Michigan, that is)!

I read a complimentary advance copy of the story; this is my voluntary and honest review.

What a delightful short story. This one will warm your heart and soul. Molly and her son Leo move to Christmas, Michigan where Noah lives in a B & B that his recently deceased aunt own. Noah's aunt took him in when his' parents were killed in a fire that disfigured him both inside and out. The arrival of the precocious child and mother start a change in Noah.

This tale is a story that you will want to re-read each year at Christmas. What a wonderful Christmas tale of hope and love. This is a must read. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Molly McCarty and her son's journey to (and at) the Mistletoe Inn is sweet and supremely satisfying! Noah Kincaid is a captivating romantic hero. A loner with scars from a difficult past, he deserves a love as perfect as his Inn and the town of Christmas. Beautifully written with many memorable lines, this one was my favorite: "there’s peace to be found in a wind’s soft sigh, the sweet song of a robin, and gentle sway of the trees—Heaven’s cathedrals.” Mistletoe Inn is a perfect read for Christmas or any time of year - like February when I read it, all the time wishing I was a guest at the Mistletoe Inn.

This Christmas more than others, don’t we need a lighthearted read? Mistletoe Inn was just that for me. It’s short, includes a sweet romance, and it’s full of hope – something that is in rare quantity these days. The story might seem familiar, but I found the familiarity to be strangely comforting. There are surprises scattered about, even a few tears. And what I realized as I turned the pages of this novella, is that this book brought me back to the Christmases I’m trying to remember.

This Christmas novella was a cute, clean romance that provided a nice Christmas in July distraction. Complete with puppies, a five-year-old boy and two wounded souls, this story didn’t delve too deep, but it was well written and enjoyable.

Noah needs to break a car window to rescue a small boy trapped inside. So what does he do?

He left the child and searched the ditch until he found a snow-covered boulder he deemed large enough to do the job.

Noah carried the rock to the car, then called his dog. Blaze whined but did as he was commanded. As soon as he was clear, Noah hefted the rock and threw it at the window. It bounced off and went rolling into the ditch.
...
It took a couple more tosses before there was a crash and the glass gave way.

He THROWS a BOULDER at the car window? And there is a child inside?? What happens when the window breaks and the boulder hits the child?

Not rating at this time.

A Hallmark Christmas card kind of a story. Short, sweet and wholesome with a divorced mom with a pre-schooler and a lonely, damaged man, lots of snow and a cameo from the Kringles. Perfect for a cold afternoon watching the snow fall with a cup of hot chocolate.
