Fandom: Voltron: Legendary Defender Relationship: Lance/Keith -------------------------------------------------- “What’s the fun in a masquerade if you don’t flirt outrageously with the prettiest person in the room?” the young man says flippantly, and then winks at Keith. Keith huffs a laugh, amused.
“You keep saying things like that, but you haven’t seen my face,” he says, gesturing to his mask. “I could have warts under here. I could have spots, or scars.”
“You’d be lovely even with all of those,” the young man says, and he suddenly sounds serious. It takes Keith by surprise, makes his heart twist along with his stomach. “Your eyes,” he continues, tilting his head. “I’ve never seen eyes like yours before.”
To start off, Lance was dodgy af for most of this fic as he was so suspicious and sly (for obvious reasons later on).
The world building and just the world in general in this fic was so fucking cool, like what do u mean some of the have elemental powers (it’s giving avatar the last airbender 🤭🤭). Honestly Keith being a prince was really interesting to see especially because of how hard it would be for him (#Keithsnotmeantforleadership).
I am mad that Hunk and Pidge were not in this fic (I almost didn’t read it because what is a Klance fic without Pidge and Hunk).
It was really nice to see the iconic Adam x Shiro and the Allura x Romelle ships as I miss them when they aren’t in a fic as it just doesn’t feel right.
I like how I predict one of the twists like a few paragraphs before it was explained (I’m Sherlock ducking Homes).
Klance’s relationship in this fic was very i have a crush on u oh and I also have a crush on u everyone knows it except us. They do have some rough patches which is 100% understandable given there situation.
One of the best klancefictions I’ve ever read but my only complaint was that HUNK AND PIDGE WERENT IN THERE??? You can’t have a klance fic without THE besties😞💔
This reads like an actual novel. Everything about it is beautiful: the characterization, the worldbuilding, the main ship—heck, it even had genuinely surprising plot twists! Had I ever tried making my friends read any fan fiction, it'd be this one.
