Crime Never Pays… Well yes and no depending on what side of the fence you’re on!

I’ve always had a strong passion for whodunnits, crime series, and books. The more I immersed myself in it, the stronger the fascination grew.

In my spare time, you’ll find me in the gym, reading, binge watching Netflix or taking walks in the forest.

Oh, and I’m an avid people watcher, I just love to watch people, their mannerisms, and their way of expressing their thoughts… weird I know, but I could spend hours doing that. It's funny, because watching people often gives me insights and inspiration for describing human interaction in my books.

Fun fact: My favourite, bestest place ever on earth? Any of the Florida theme parks and the mad coasters out there. Add the food, shopping and weather, and you've got the best place on earth... especially when I see the joy on the faces of my family when we're out there :)

Weird fact: Spending an afternoon in a mortuary to bring my books to life. Oops! poor choice of words there :)

I hope you enjoy the stories I craft for you.

Marked For Death is book seven in the DI Scott Baker series by Jay Nadal. DI Scott Baker caught a case of the Death of a young woman who died alone beside the road on a chilly evening. At first, DI Scott Baker's team did not know anything about the young woman. The direction of the investigation changed when they found the young woman's identity. The readers of Marked For Death will continue to follow DI Scott Baker's investigation to discover what happens.

Marked For Death was previously published under the title Missing. I enjoy reading Jay Nadal's books, and this one did not disappoint. I had no problem engaging with the story and the characters, which continued to the end. I enjoy that Jay Nadal highlights several issues for young single women with children. As always, I enjoyed Jay Nadal's portrayal of his characters and their interaction with each other throughout this book. Marked ForDeathh is well-written and researched. I like Jay Nadal's description of the settings of Marked For Death, which allowed me to imagine being part of the book's plot.

The readers of Marked For Death will learn about the consequences of wanting something better and being loved.

I recommend this book.

A woman who had two children ask her neighbor to babysit her kids for the evening while she goes out on a date. She didnt come back for a day or two. The police come to her door and showed her a picture and ask if she knew this lady and she said yes . They informed her she was dead. When investigating the case they found out more about the victim. She seemed that she was into weird and wild sex. Often described as a whore or a sex fiend. Ended up with a few other cases seemed to be connected and may be the same murderer. Took a long time for them to solve this one.

Gripping!

I loved this book! Its one of the authors better ones! It grabbed me from the first page, and didn't let go until the ending. This was also one of the of his most gory and explicit books. Very descriptive!!! I found my self gagging a time or two.I will say that this definitely made this a better book even! You could read this on its own, but in all honesty you should start from the beginning to learn about the characters backgrounds and watch them grow! Off to the next one!

Enjoyed

Another interesting Scott Baker Crime Series that keeps the pages turning from beginning to the end. The reader can feel the frustration of Scott as he has to wait for results from autopsy and labs. The pain families go through waiting for information about their missing loved ones is pointed out in this story. The obvious ending results of a crime that doesn't always answer all the questions is very true in real life.
