The author met with a single engine plane accident and his spinal code, kidney, lungs and many other body parts got damaged. Doctors discounted him as non-curable and the best outcome was anticipated to be that some day he would get into the wheelchair.

This book shows the struggle he went through in the hospital by adamantly believing that he would talk, walk and breathe on his own one day (without ventilators). After constant struggle he indeed did all these within one year!

The only issue I have with this book is there are too many details that may not have relevance to the book. Maybe the author thinks otherwise! The 212 pages of the book could be condensed to 100 pages without losing the central idea and the story.
