However, they better have yearly new editions planned to update the information, considering all the references to scientific missions that are - allegedly - definitely going to happen in the next few years. It might be painful for a parent to read this to a child in just a few years from now and try to explain why all the missions of 2020 and 2021 didn't happen.
Ellen Lawrence has a great way of talking so non experts can understand tough subjects. In "Investigating Asteroids" she talks about a recent asteroid scare, near misses, landing a spacecraft on an asteroid and future plans for asteroid use. The photos and illustrations are all fantastic. There is an experiment at the end of the book along with how to find more information online and in books.
