Timber Valley’s Alpha never expected to find his fated mate. Forest didn’t even know if he wanted one because a mate would only complicate things and he was certain he’d disappoint any mate ever given him anyway. There were certain things about him that nobody in his pack knew and he was happy keeping it that way. Wasn’t he? Then why did he long for what his neighbors in the den have? He was happy being the fire chief, right?

Aspen unexpectedly fled from the only home he’d ever known, only to be thrust into a world much bigger than he knew existed. Until he left Kodiak Island with his childhood friend and his mate, he never knew warlocks existed. Not only that, but most of the members of his new den were mated to other species, something that he didn’t realize could happen.
A trip to the wolf pack with his new best friend alters Aspen’s future when he finds his mate. But is Forest happy to have found him? The hunky alpha certainly does things to Aspen’s body, but why doesn’t he seem eager to claim him? Is it because he’s not a wolf?

Will these two ever figure things out? Forest knows after scenting his mate that he wants him, more than anything. But is Aspen willing to do things a little differently?

Forest’s Hope is the first book in the Timber Valley Wolf Pack Series, which is a Honey Creek Den spin off. Since the stories are so closely related and overlap, it is recommended that you read the Honey Creek Den series first. Each book contains a fated mate pair, Mpreg, lots of knotting during howly sexy times, and babies. Did I mention babies and pregnant omegas? Just like the bears, these alphas will do anything for their mates, just read and see. The Timber Valley Wolf Pack Series is meant to be read in order, and these books aren’t considered standalones, even though each book focuses on a different couple. This book is intended for adults only as these shifters tend to get growly and don’t watch their language.

I usually love Taylor's Shifter books but this was just average. Other than the Alpha's 'knik' there was not much of a story.
I don't think its could be a standalone as the Den series is combined with this story with not much background on the warlocks explained. I have read Den series and love the characters and the world created but this series doesn't seem to have that touch.

I’m a reader who loves books that have a ton of dialogue in them. This book has lots and lots of dialogue from what I can tell of the first bit that I read. The issue is that all of the dialogue is just a bunch of lines of text for pages and pages, there’s no description of gestures of surroundings while the characters are talking, no description of tones or anything. That is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. Give me tone, give me a shoulder shrug, a smile, smirk, scowl, wide eyes, description of where they are while talking, etc etc.

If you give me walls of text with absolutely no describing or pauses between the characters talking back and forth to each other, then it feels robotic and “dead” or monotone.

I know a lot of people love these series, and I didn’t finish this book so I won’t rate it, I will leave my opinion here though.

Forest's Hope is book one in the Timber Valley Wolf Pack series, but you'll recognize Aspen from the Honey Creek Den series.

I'm not going to say much because I don't want to give the story away, but I will say to make sure you have plenty of tissues ready. This story packs an emotional punch, and will have your feelings all over the place.

Forest and Aspen were perfect together, and is one of my favorite couples that Taylor Rylan has written to date.

Definitely worth the read, and excited for the next.

The theme of the book is Talking. All Forest ever wants to do is talk about their relationship. "We need to talk" and "Can we talk" are said dozens of times. There's not much of a story.

3,5*

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like
‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd,
‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya,
‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or
'Liberty' from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey books and
Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

The new series after Honey Creek. The Timber Valley wolves, close to Honey Creek. Forest has become Alpha after his two dad's decided to retire. It is hardly a pack after all his siblings and dads have moved away and he is convinced he will never be good enough for a mate. But then Aspen stumbles into his live. The sweet big Kodiak bear who has been on the run for so long and now found a pieceful home in Honey Creek. At first Aspen is destraught that Forest doesn't want to claim him, but when he finds out the reason they can't wait to claim each other. And soon there will be sexy times and babies. Although the thread of Gordon, the bad Alpha who wants to kill all men omegas, is getting more serious, the new arrival of a new group of shifters will soon have more mates finding each other. This is a lovely start of the new series about shifters, babies, overly attentative Alphas and granddaddies. All this sweetness will make you forget all the ugliness that is going on. A real recommender.

Will your mate be able to embrace your secret?

This is a stunning first book in a new series. It follows on the heels of the Honey Creek Den series. The characters overlap. I was welcomed back with open arms. This has a surprising alpha, a strong, feisty omega, family galore, a reunion, babies, and lots of matings. What's not to love!
Forest has two jobs; Fire Chief and Alpha of the Timber Valley Pack. He also has a secret he fears will make him a bad mate. Then he scents Aspen. His mate. A bear, but his wolf doesn't care. Mate. Ours. Aspen has always wanted one thing; a mate and cubs. His bear is crazy for this wolf, secret and all. A claiming, a heat, and a pregnancy make for an interesting few weeks. You are gonna love this book!
This series continues and I can't wait to read the next book. If you haven't read the Honey Creek series, do so now. It sets up this new series. After the first book, you will be hooked.

I absolutely freakin loved this book!!!! Forest is the alpha of the Timber Valley Wolf Pack. He is not your typical alpha he has feelings inside him that he fears that will make his potential mate not want to be with him. Aspen is a bear that came from Alaska. He hasn't had it easy in his old pack....his alpha was mean and nasty. Aspen figures that finding a mate isn't in the cards for him. That all changes when Forest and Aspen first meet. I loved how they talked through their insecurities and fears and put them to rest. They are perfect for each other. I loved everything about their story....I laughed, swooned, cheered them on, and lord did I ever cry at times lol! I was hooked from the very beginning of their story and didn't want to see it end. I can't wait for the next book in the series....another fantastic book by this talented author. Well done!!!!!

É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . .
Amei! . . Boa Leitura 😘

I loved how Taylor Rylan wrote the two MCs, Aspen (omega, kodiak grizzly) and Forest (Alpha of the Timber Valley Wolf Pack). She basically pushed back on the typical Alpha/omega norms in the bedroom. Nothing wrong with an omega topping the alpha or quite frankly an Alpha being topped in the first place. I would have loved to have more scenes of Aspen topping Forest but sex isn’t the whole premise of these books. It truly is the relationship building between the mates and the eventual pregnancy/birth of their babies.

I really hope Taylor Rylan takes the series a little further. I’d love to read about Wren & Sterling. As well as the other Timber Valley Wolf Pack members who found their mates.

I've been looking forward to this book. It was so fun to read and I wasn't disapointed. I love Forest and love how he isn't your typical "alpha". My one and only complaint would be that there isn't really any conflict. I love insta-love so I absolutely don't mind the no conflict between the two main characters but I think there needed to be some plot conflict.
I really loved that ending. I wish I could say why, but it was so beautiful what happenes and the new people we meet. I love this series and this was another awesome addition. Definetely reccomend to anyone who loves MM/Shifter/Fated Mates books.

💜💜💜💜💜

This is a paranormal queer romance with mpreg, the first book in the “Timber Valley Wolf Pack”series which comes after the “Honey Creek Den” series that should be read in order. Forest is the Alpha of his pack and he’s convinced that his fated mate would never want him, but then he actually meets Aspen! Aspen seems like he would be a firecracker, just what the pack needs in an Alpha-mate! This was an emotional story that was a little overwhelming at the end but I think that’s why I like this story in it’s uniqueness. I’m currently rereading all the books in the interconnected series of the destined paranormals world!

Forest is Alpha, after his dad decides he wants to retire. He's also the Fire Cheif and has been waiting for his mate, but Forest is different and is worried his mate won't accept him. .

Aspen is new to the area and when he finds out Forest wants to wait to claim him, he takes it the wrong way.

As mates do, they overcome what they perceive as their inadequacies and find a path to love and, in their case, triplets.

This was another beautiful fated mates story. I'm really enjoying these Alpha's who love hard and the Omega's who put up with their mothering.

*I was provided with an ARC

Wow oh wow this book was amazing! I love how Forest and Aspen both feel like they won't e good enough mates, but really are perfect for each other! I think it's so sweet that Forest puts a lot of Aspen's doubts and insecurities to rest! I think I cried with happiness when Aspen was reunited with his parents and after the children were born. This story was so great because I really enjoyed seeing all of the familiar faces like Eddison, Wallace, War, Arik and many more! Looking forward to the next book and can't wait to see what happens to this pack next!

Forest and Aspen are hot...

I loved Forest and Aspen's story. Like Taylor Dylan's other books, the storylines was interesting and the characters were fun. This is the first book in the Timber Valley Wolf Pack series and sets a great time for the rest of the books that will follow. I liked how Forest wanted to make sure to tell his secret to Aspen before mating so that if it was too much, he had a way out... He is a great and strong Alpha. And Aspen is a strong omega who loves his mate no matter what . I can't wait for the next books. Definitely a recommended read.

Very fun story

I wish that there had been more time devoted to Forest and his feelings of inadequacy and fear his mate abandoning him. This had real potential to bring some good depth to his character, but I felt like it was glossed over.

I liked that Aspen wasn't afraid to tell Forest when he was overwhelming. He had been through so much, and had been disregarded simply for being omega, that it was delightful to see him assert himself.

The world of shifters and warlocks moves to the next town/pack over. Alpha wolf Forest gets his mate in the omega bear, Aspen. A sweet book with just a touch of angst. The series spin off from Honey Creek Den series begins with an alpha who secretly likes to bottom, but thinks that no omega will ever accept that. The fun in the book is how the very much younger and inexperienced Aspen does just that.

Forest ❤️ Aspen

Forest doesn’t think he’s good enough for a mate or deserves one but then Aspen shows up in his life and he knows he would do anything to keep him. They do have a little bit of a rough start but it all works out quickly and they claim each other but life isn’t simple for any of these shifters and they have so much more to face ahead. Taylor does amazing things with her characters and always makes the books worth the read. 😀❤️

Finding your one

Forest is Alpha of his pack and thinks that his mate won’t want him because he has a secret but the fates have other plans and bring him Aspen who is an Omega. Aspen right away feels that they are meant for each other. This story reminds me of not being scared to be yourself and allow others to see you be you. Great story to a start of a great series.

Wonderful

I just loved how this series picked right up. From the Honey Creek Den series. I have to admit that at the beginning of the book, I was kind of scared of what Forest's secret was. I didn't want Aspen to run away from Forest. But Aspen took that little secret and decided he was ok with that. And boy was he.

A promising story.

The timing was off In the writing. Akin to watching a ballet where the dancers are dancing ahead of the music. The characters don’t seem relatable. Also, not sure if there is a story arc that precedes this book, but the author alludes to there being one and it is a little distracting to read this book before the others.

Quit at 20% read: Heteronormative alpha/omega sexism where the alpha is a DL vers guy and the omega is a naive virgin.

Even worse: shifters live longer lives, so you’d think a 140 year old alpha would come to some sort of peace about what turns him on—and a 70 year old would have gotten intimate at least once or twice.

Pretty Good!!

This is a new author to me, but I think I need to read more of her work. This book right was ok, Aspen and Forest seemed forced. For some reason, I didn't feel a connect with them. The storyline was ....I have no idea.

Taylor Rylan is an author that should be followed as the books they write are outstanding.

I'm loving this series . It follows an already great series . I'm in love with this pack almost as much as I loved the Den . Taylor Rylan is a must follow author .
