Eh this was just okay. I didn't really care for the turn this series took in this last book. It kind of turned mafia? And most of it was more of an epilogue, and I just didn't really care as much anymore. While I loved book one in the series, each book I liked less and less as the series went on.

Well, I'm certainly not disappointed with how this book ended. I may have even squeed a little! This has been a tumultuous journey and everything came together perfectly. I will say though, I was hoping one area of the book would have wrapped up a little neater. It feels like this issue was just swept under the rug though and if it were a TRUE story we all know it would eventually come back to haunt the characters. You can read my short spoiler below if you are curious about what I'm talking about.

Overall, I really loved this book and look forward to reading the final novella, Being. Mrs. Cane. I hope both Kandi and he get their wishes, desires, and truly live happily ever after. After all the crap they have been through it's clear they both deserve it.
Just a little recap on this series- each book MUST be read in order. This is a trilogy that follows Kandi and Cane as they find love in one another even though they aren't supposed to be together. Cane is Kandi's fathers best friend. There is a big age gap between the two and their relationship is very forbidden. This series also has quite a bit of suspense to it- there's a lot of things standing in the way of their HEA- and some action as well. I love how well rounded it is even though some was a little over dramatic for my tastes.
If this sounds good to you, then don't miss this series! It's free to read in kindle unlimited and how a lot of HOTNESS if you like that sort of thing. I look forward to continuing my journey in Shanora's backlog of books (which is what I am currently doing). She's a fantastic writer!

So I am going to sum up books 2-3.5 in this review since I just read them back to back. It's been awhile since I had finished book 1 but I knew I needed to finish the series after I was left reeling from the the first books ending.
I have always been a fan of Shanora Williams and love her style of writing. This series was a little different from what I normally read but I was intrigued after the first book. The storyline is unique and my curiosity had me glued but I dont think its William's best work. You may read it and it will become your favorite series but it was lacking for me. The romance was lovely although at times a bit childish and repetitive. There was drama and sometimes it flowed easily with the dialogue and others it felt forced. Even though this may not be her best work, in my opinion, the storyline is still good. I look forward to what William's releases in the future. Till then, buy the series and enjoy.

Wow I wasn't ready for this jelly. This book had me a mess. It was a complete roller-coaster and I loved every second of it. I couldn't put this book down, I was literally glued to my screen until I finished reading it, I just wanted to know what would happen next, scratch that I needed to know. There was so much drama and angst and my heart was living for it.
Cane was better than ever. My heart hurt for him when he was going through Kandy withdrawal and worrying about all that was about to go down, which was a lot; from the bad guy coming to town, his crazy ex and his dead beat dad getting out of prison, all after the love of his life almost died. We learn even more about Cane's past in this third installment, and how exactly he's connected to El Jefe, how he got his business going and also a lot more of Cane and Derek's past and friendship.
Yes people, this book is filled with action, drama and angst. It was amazing. Possibly my favorite yet but I don't know, the first one- Wanting Mr. Cane- will always be special. But yeah our Kane overcome a lot in this one; they overcome it all together and watching them throughout this book both hurt and made me proud... how they started out and where they were in the end *happy proud sigh*. I'm gonna die with the upcoming novella, it's bout to be super sweet but I think it will be very emotional too after the events in this book. I can't wait for it.
Loving Mr.Cane, to sum up, was an epic ride. If you loved book 1 and 2, prepare yourself cuz you're gonna die over this one; there's more of everything from what we got in previous books, along with new and badass characters that have their own books (which I'm very curious to go and read) and came into this one like an hurricane. Cane and Kandy really show how strong they are as a couple and how much their love can overcome anything. It all made me love and root for them more.
P. S: This one doesn't end with a cliffhanger that leaves you chocked up and not able to breathe properly. It ends on a very positive and high note, which is just another bonus.

The heroine is 19 years old and it shows. She proves she's not a ride or die chick and under the circumstances who can blame her. Frankly, I found it hard to understand Cane's interest in her, beyond the obvious. One particular resolution of a persistent problem was too convenient and simplistic. The mystery of what was going on with Frankie was finally revealed and it wasn't what I feared. Frankie is a sweetheart and I hope she gets her own story. Overall, I like Book One best.
Recommended: Read it to neatly tie up the series.

This series just keeps getting better and better. The emotional ride it takes you on will keep you turning pages so fast, it'll be one of those nonstop reads! Shanora just plots like a superstar and twists and turns she places at crucial junctures make your head spin! Her flawless writing just flows like a brook, I couldn't drink from it fast enough and wasn't willing to stop at all.
In second book the horrendous act of violence committed at the fag end, results in irreversible damages in this book. Life is lost, ending future happiness and shattering wholesome dreams. My heart cried so bad at this point, it was dreadful and so unfair !!
"Dumb and naive, that’s what I was. I’d jumped the gun and now I was suffering the consequences of my actions."
A ghost from the past and else times just pops in to stand and help. And I just wanted to worship Lora at this time, she rose up from ashes literally to pitch in when needed.
The story was so engaging, I had barely the time or 'Tempt'ation to pick my head up and take a pause. So much happens at breakneck speed and threats just surround the lovely couple like swirling thunderstorm
"When Cane and I were in a room alone, we were amazing together— our chemistry off the charts— but out in the real world, we weren’t a good match. He was older. I was younger. He had a shaky past, and my life was just getting started. Our paths had crossed many, many times, and sometimes fate made us feel like we were winning, but our lives were passing each other, not fitting together. We happened to find an escape in each other… but that escape was over."
So let's take a pause here. I LOVED, like ADORED this unlikely pairing, was rooting for them, cartwheeling at their joys, hugging out their sorrows and setbacks. Shanora just created the perfect Tabboo read with naive yet sensible heroine and mature yet vulnerable hero. They both just got drowned in lust and swam in love, now just want to reach ashore of acceptance. And by God, I just gave it to them!
Enjoyed the book, couldn't believe it's stopped, but here's hoping for more to come !

Every single sentence of this book utterly dug a hole in my heart. Every scene marked me deeply. Loving Mr. Cane trapped in its warm and soul stirring embrace. I could not help but be sucked in.

Cane is the successful, sexy, domineering alpha male with a lot of baggage. These two souls come together and create a love phenomenal.

What a satisfying (almost) conclusion to this crazy ride!!! Buck and Kelly got theirs, and we find out the rest of Cane’s secrets. This mostly focused on Kandy and Cane finally finding peace together, with his adorable mother and sister along for the ride as sidekicks.
Mom has come around, but stubborn father still has not, which is frustrating but also understandable. I can’t wait to read the finale!

GAHHHHHHHHH!!! Shanora Williams has done it again. 😍
After that insane cliffhanger at the end of book 2, I have been rather impatiently waiting for LOVING MR CANE. I cant even begin to tell you how excited I was when I saw this had arrived on my kindle. Cane and Kandys story has consumed me, and I just had to jump straight in and find out what happened. In true Shanora style, this story was jam packed full of so many twists and turns that I felt like I might get whiplash. My heart was in my mouth and I sat on the edge of my seat, scared to see what was coming next. The storyline had me hooked from the first page to the last, and don’t think I moved from my chair until I had finished. The writing was superb, and I fell even more in love with Cane (if that’s even possible).
I absolutely adored that ending but can’t wait for the final novella so we can get their HEA.

Must-read favorite series of 2018!
Just when I thought this series couldn’t get better Shanora delivers my favorite book in the series. After the way Breaking Mr. Cane ended, I was jonesing this book so much. Thankfully, Ms. Williams didn’t make us wait to long for the anticipated sequel. I read this book in one sitting and FLOVED it so very fucking much! I was on pins and needles, my heart clenching and swooning so hard for Mr Cane. Amazing job as always Shanora Williams!!! #LovingMrCaneForLife 😍❤️ #TopFavoritesOf2018!

This one was my least favourite of the series. Though the writing was still good and the characters were as lovable as ever, I felt like it wasn’t particularly necessary. I didn’t get much new from this story, but regardless I’m still happy I read it in order to finish the trilogy. It is unfortunate but despite that I did really love this series and will, without a doubt, be reading anything else this author creates that takes my fancy.
— I’m not a fan of jealousy so I found it difficult throughout the entire series to feel comfortable with Quinton saying that she’s his, she belongs to him, she can’t do this, that and the other etc., but that is a personal preference. I never have been a fan of the overly alpha male, but thankfully this series doesn’t lay it on too thick. It’s not like 50 shades wherein Christian is constantly reminding her that she belongs to him, telling her what to do etc.. It isn’t slapped in your face with every page turn, so I could definitely let that go!
— Steamy as ever, though less so than the other books. This was focused more on their hardships as a couple and navigating through their difficulties. Regardless, I still enjoyed it. Though it was a bit disappointing because the sex scenes featured throughout this series were mind blowing. Heheh.
— Major TW for violence, abuse, fertility issues, drugs, alcohol. There is a lot of content throughout this entire series.
This novel definitely was a lot to digest and had my heart pounding the entire time. I really, really enjoyed it and had a phenomenal time reading the entire series. So much fun and I would definitely recommend it — but not if you’re fancying a light hearted, steamy romance! This is abundantly steamy but not light-hearted for the most part (though there are some hilarious bits).
— I’m not a fan of jealousy so I found it difficult throughout the entire series to feel comfortable with Quinton saying that she’s his, she belongs to him, she can’t do this, that and the other etc., but that is a personal preference. I never have been a fan of the overly alpha male, but thankfully this series doesn’t lay it on too thick. It’s not like 50 shades wherein Christian is constantly reminding her that she belongs to him, telling her what to do etc.. It isn’t slapped in your face with every page turn, so I could definitely let that go!
— Steamy as ever, though less so than the other books. This was focused more on their hardships as a couple and navigating through their difficulties. Regardless, I still enjoyed it. Though it was a bit disappointing because the sex scenes featured throughout this series were mind blowing. Heheh.
— Major TW for violence, abuse, fertility issues, drugs, alcohol. There is a lot of content throughout this entire series.
This novel definitely was a lot to digest and had my heart pounding the entire time. I really, really enjoyed it and had a phenomenal time reading the entire series. So much fun and I would definitely recommend it — but not if you’re fancying a light hearted, steamy romance! This is abundantly steamy but not light-hearted for the most part (though there are some hilarious bits).

I want to start by saying that I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED Kandy. She is a heroine that I will forever remember for her spunk and feisty attitude.
And LOVED LOVED LOVED even more Quinton Cane! He has my whole heart. ♥

So, when I read, I enjoy losing myself in the atmosphere, finding that I can "see" what is being played out before me on the page. I was hooked from the beginning. This story deeply fascinated me. All I will say is that once you start reading, be prepared to devour this book in one sitting because from the beginning it grabs you and won’t let you go until you see how the war ends...

I’ve said it once, I’ve said it many times. Shanora Williams has the older man, younger woman story down pat! I absolutely love reading her OM/YW stories.
Way back in 2013 I picked up a book by this author I’d never heard of before…. Who He Is by Shanora Williams. I have been hooked on her books since then. I have totally enjoyed watching this author blossom into a very talented author. Her work if it’s even possible, just keeps getting better and better!
Loving Mr. Cane hit it out of the ball park! This was everything I was hoping for in the 3rd book of this series. Questions were definitely answered, we loved, and we lost. Emotionally draining is best describing how I felt reading this book. At times I was so high and enjoying Cane and Kandy in their sexy little romps in the sack. Then bam…when the dark cloud comes, it’s not just a cloudy day…it’s a storm like no other!
It was so, so hot catching up with El Jefe! I truly loved that man in her Venom series. If you haven’t read that series…pick it up now!!!
Kandy and Cane truly deserve to be with each other…but others don’t see it that way. Can these 2 overcome all the obstacles and get the HEA they really deserve? You’ve got to read the book to find out!!!

I am loving this series. Brilliant read
Shanora has done it again after the ending of book 2 I could not wait to get my hands on Loving Mr. Cane this is book 3 in the series. From start to finish, I could not put it down. I read in one sitting.
I love Kandy and Cane together I loved she stuck it out with him in this one and her parents started to accept her with him even though they don't agree with them being together. I just love them the chemistry they have is off the charts.. One of my top fav characters.
Before you start this book, be sure to read the first 2 books so you have the full story and get to know these characters before you dive into this book. Very well written and I cannot wait for book 4.

2.5 stars. Loving Mr. Cane is the 3rd book in the Cane series, this trilogy follows the same couple for all 3 books in the series. This is an age gap (he’s 17 years older), forbidden (dad’s best friend) romance between Mr. Cane and Kandy. This book picks up after a cliffhanger in the second book.
Sooo I really enjoyed the first book, and then every book since then has gone downhill for me. This one brings in the cartel sort of, on top of other woman/villainous woman drama. The over dramatics keeping this couple apart just didn’t work for me and the more I read, the more I’m convinced Mr. Cane doesn’t deserve Kandy, she deserves better. 😅 But if I look at just the first book, loved their tension and relationship there!

Forbidden, angsty, emotional and sinfully sexy… I absolutely LOVED this tension-filled taboo romance!
I’m going to post one review for the entire series (with no spoilers), instead of for each book individually, because I went from one book to the next without even taking a breath. I was utterly HOOKED on this smoldering hot and illicit romance between a young woman and her father’s best friend with a lengthy 17 year age-gap between them!
Ohhh, Mr. Cane....
That man did crazy things to my head, my heart and my vagina.
Kandy has had a crush on Cane ever since she met him when she was a young girl. He has never seen her more than exactly what she was - his best friend’s daughter… until she’s not a little girl anymore and makes her feelings known, then he starts seeing her in a whole new light. It isn’t just infatuation, it’s not a little crush that will go away anytime soon… she’s been in love with him for years. He resists her as much as he can but she’s grown into a beautiful and charming woman, making it that much harder to fight against her sexual advances. And when he finally gives in and they fall into bed together, it’s a nuclear explosion of raw and unbridled passion so hot that your kindle will need freezer time.
I adored these two together! They had a deep connection with each other and an undeniable chemistry. There were so many obstacles in their way threatening to tear them apart – pissed off parents, a crazy ex-girlfriend, bullies, pasts that haunt them – and there were times when my heart felt like it was in my throat, eyes threatening to spill with tears because I didn’t think they could come back from some of the things thrown at them, but their bond is never weakened. Their love never wavers. They are truly unbreakable.
I’m so glad that I waited to read this series until all the books were released because I don’t think I would’ve been patient waiting for each book. It was a fantastic binge read that I inhaled like I’d been starving for days.
Since this is the first time I’ve read Shanora Williams, I can guarantee I’ll be reading her backlist of books and keeping an eye on all future releases from her. She has some superb storytelling skills that pull the reader into the story, intoxicating them with every emotion laced into her words, and bringing her characters to life.

Sé que no debía esperar que fuera el mejor cierre en todo el mundo, pero creí que iba a encontrar algo... solo "algo", y no hubo nada.
La trama me pareció repetitiva comparándolo con los dos libros anteriores, y es que la estructura siempre fué: Los protagonistas no están juntos al inicio pero se aman, se extrañan, se reconcilian y luego hay un poco de drama que los separa de nuevo (aunque la diferencia en este libro es que lo superan y terminan juntos, como era de esperarse). Es verdad que existen ciertas estructuras para escribir una novela, pero creo que en una misma trilogía se podía variar un poco para que no se parecieran tanto los libros entre sí, porque además de compartir la misma estructura, la FORMA en que la autora lo hizo fué muy similar en cada tomo.
Hablando del final... Si, fué apresurado, me lo esperaba desde el principio cuando noté que el libro era corto, y no me encanta pero se acepta, pero ¿Y la trama de El jefe? Literalmente la mitad de este libro (y el final del anterior) se centran en comenzar a desarrollar esa trama, para que después de todo solo desaparezca, así como asi. No sé cuál era el propósito de eso. Al menos para darle un poco de trasfondo a Cane funcionaba, pero ¿traer de vuelta ese problema de qué sirvió? La trama de Buck ya daba para agregar tensión (si solo le hubieran dado más enfoque), traer de vuelta a El jefe para que al final no lleve a nada deja mucha insatisfacción, pensé que el propósito sería crear una escena de enfrentamiento o algo, y no hubo nada.
Si tuvo momentos entretenidos pero le faltó variar y cumplir con el drama que prometía. Ni modos...
Espero que mi amiguita Luz no se enoje conmigo porque ama estos libros y los leí por ella, el trato era ese y ya lo cumplí jaja, por fin. 🙏🏻

Hell yes!! Finally – after that freaking cliffhanger – more of Kandy and her Cane – and these two have quite much on their plate in this one. This part of their journey was spiked with even more obstacles and hurdles they had to conquer, so that the pages just flew by. And although Kandy kinda acts strange in the beginning of the book, they do mature a lot in this book! And the fact there’s still more of them to come in form of a novella makes me really happy!
I still love the forbidden feel to the story with their age gap and the fact Cane is Kandy’s dad’s best friend, but now knowing them like that after two books, it’s all only getting better – seeing broody, tattooed Cane become vulnerable and their undeniable love and devotion for one another grow deeper and stronger was simply amazing. They are destined to be together despite all odds and will fight tooth and nail to achieve just that.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a typical Shanora Williams story if there weren’t those twisty curveballs thrown left and right into their story. Man, there were times I feared I’d get whiplash! Oh, and not to forget the sex. Such yummy, sizzling deliciousness… Gah!
When this book ends, you just know it’s not all said and done yet, there are still too many things left unresolved and questions unanswered. This final shorter instalment is definitely needed and I’m anxiously awaiting its arrival.

TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THE SERIES THE BOOKS JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER AND BETTER IN LOVE
The starting of the book was pretty intense compared to the last two books and there was so much angst misunderstanding and all the emotions
And I enjoyed every second of it, actually Kandy and Cane’s relationship developed much more in this book
It was more mature and they solved their misunderstanding
I loved this book more cause of the mafia aspect it was really fun
I was really sad that Kandy’s bond with her parents were fractured but I’m happy they were in good terms in the end
Draco he’s very interesting I loved his character
And also very excited to read more about KandyCane in Being Mrs.Cane
