I’m not a good writer of reviews but I wanna give this book some love.
It’s a fun park ride for the brain. I was gonna say a rollercoaster, but rollercoasters only go in one direction at a time. Manacles takes most directions and a lot of shapes, often simultaneously. Experimental but somehow cohesive. Not sure whether the book is actually cohesive, or it’s just the survival-instinct of the mind that knits together from fear of chaos. Shrugging emoji.
Manacles has been great to read in this, my year of reading.
