About the author

Ed Silvoso is an Argentinian Christian author and documentarian. He is the founder of Harvest Evangelism and the International Transformation Network, the objective of which is to end worldwide systemic poverty. He is a leader of the Argentine Revival and of the modern transformation movement.

Silvoso has written extensively on spiritual transformation in volumes that contain the principles and paradigms generally adopted in the movement. These books provide significant biographical information that helps to trace its origins as well as the personal journey he took that resulted in becoming one of its principal figures.

Very simple and well put--this book outlines God's original plan for woman to compliment man and how man and woman together complete the image and work of God in the world. I especially like the chapters regarding the restoration of man and woman and also the chapter on forgiveness toward the end was especially helpful.

Also, this book clearly outlines the Scriptural basis for women having a huge role in the end times proclamation of the gospel as well as many other roles of leadership and ministry in the church.

I especially recommend this to women who are wanting to be a part of the end time movement of women that are already influencing nations and proclaiming good news throughout the whole world.

I also would recommend it to those seeking a better understanding of a woman's role in the church or in leadership. This book clearly and simply explains what was happening culturally at this time and how women were actually being restored to their rightful place alongside men at the time that these books were being written.

I would also recommend this book to anyone who thinks their male/female relationships have been devastated beyond repair. There are some great chapters on restoration and believe me when I read this book I was believing in several situations for the impossible.

Also, I recommend to those wanting to see the value of men and women working together in the world.... rather than apart.

I don’t know how I feel about this book.
It feels mostly good, but slightly… off?

The book is based on Psalms 68:11. In my quick reference of this scripture, there are translations that use the word "women" but also translations that use the word "many." To be honest, I didn't get much clarification after reading the whole chapter, so I turned to a commentary for further explanation, and it seems as though this Psalm is referring to the coming of the arc. With this information, I believe this scripture is taken out of context but used to fit the narrative.
In chapter one, on page 20, the author tells a story of him fighting a group of 4 bullies and winning. I'm not sure what that even has to do with women being God's chosen weapons and seems a bit like an ego trip. Why are we talking about calling someone's mom a whore and fighting in a Christian book?
By page 28, I am done. I feel the author was just writing random stuff, and honestly, it didn't feel completely biblical compared to actual scripture. It was like he took pieces of the truth and ran with it.
Although I do not feel he is wrong in his statements that woman are equal to man in God's eyes and we are also called to do the Lord's work in the great commission, I think there are much better books out there on the subject. I don't think I would recommend this to others.

All in all i really liked the book, but there were some things that bothered me. For example when it came to women submitting to their husbands there was a lot of explanation what it does not mean but actually not really practical things about how he thinks god intended it to look like. Because I think one of the greatest beauties about being a woman is obeying and submitting to our husbands.
other than that i don’t fully agree on his interpretation on “women shall learn in silence, etc”. I do believe that this passage still has a value nowadays even though the culture changed.
But again, all in all I really enjoyed reading this book !

He is a preacher in his style. Some loose interpretations. Some stories. Some diversions from the topic. The message still mostly surrounds that of the view of women from the Bible and their role. He takes the road of that we are made different but complementary and do things best together and not against each other. Some of the usual suspects in terms of chapter topics - and all in all a ok book.

The basic premise of this book is that we could reach more people for God and destroy the Devil's plan if we recognized that Satan is behind church leaderships denial of women's ministry gifts. While not into feminism, this author believes that if couples worked as equals and partners the Kingdom of God would advance.

Ed’s book is much needed for the Body of Christ. With half the Body paralyzed by sexism, we need a wake up call and restoration.

This is an astounding book! I found it really enjoyable to read as far as the relaxed reading style. Silvoso explores the value of women in his new book. Any woman who is feeling that they are not important or vital to the kingdom work would benefit from this book. Silvoso shows how God has a specefic and special purpose for women in this world in the spiritual battles of the time. He shows how women where specifically designed for certain tasks in the kingdom work and how they are truelly essential to the plan God has put in motion. I do however have one reservation about this book. This is that the author seems to stretch the meaning of some scripture. At some points even taking some scriptures out of context in order to make it fit his agenda. Although I most full heartily agree that women are created for a specific purpose in the kingdom work, I do not think they hold a higher use than men.
