Not actually an erotic romance...

3.5 Stars (rounded down for editing)

Considering the cover says this is an erotic romance there was a distinct lack of sex in this book. Especially since it's set in a brothel and all the characters are (or were) prostitutes.

Very discombobulating.

That's not to say it wasn't good; other than a weird tendency to attempt contracting one of the character's names (and consistently doing it wrong) - and a couple of other editing issues - I kind of enjoyed the story. These guys don't seem like the stereotypical whore trope (which I appreciated) and there was some thoughtful commentary on complacency.

But still... Erotic romances should have some erotica in them.
