His touch, his eyes, his lips. I know the feeling well. I practically lose it every time he walks into the room. But I want him for real, and that big "IT," the V-card that hangs over my head, I need him to know that he can take that from me anytime he wants. He was my one and only crush. If you saw Kyle you'd know why, but he is my brother's best friend, and I doubt he ever saw me as anything more than that dorky kid sister. If I spent as much time with the boys my own age as I did hoping he was coming over, I doubt if I'd still have my V-card. But here I am, in my last year at college and keeping that secret to myself. Losing it was a freebie from Book funnel. Eris is a journalist student who is struggling to impress her professor. He want her to learn to communicate better. As she leaves his class she bumbs into her brother best friend. He’s at the university to teach some classes. Eris has always wanted Kyle but she’s younger and he’s never shown any sign of seeing her more than Alex’s dorky younger sister.
They now find themselves in the same location and have time to catch up. After a drunken night Eris makes a confession to Kyle. Eris is a virgin and always wanted Kyle to be her first. She may just get her wish and more than she expects. This is a Forbidden anti bro code romance.
I wish this book was longer. I expect Eris to be more fierce and determined to get what she wants but that’s not really how this book goes. It also has events that I wasn’t keen on. It’s a quick easy read but has potential to be more.

But she's no longer the baby sister... all she needs is some confidence to put on the charm. Will Kyle help her cash in her v-card or is she just Losing It?
This is my first book by Scarlet Wilder and I LOVED it! It's steamy, romantic goodness with a dash of taboo (breaking the bro-code big time) thrown in. Wilder deals with some pretty heavy stuff but at the same time, it was a refreshingly real college romance. Highly recommend!

I got the copy of this book for free, thanks to instafreebie.
I find the idea of the story is really promising because I, myself do love the big-brother's best-friend kind if romance.
However the writing is kind of immature, in my opinion... I mean, it seems like the author can't really describe the situation well and expend the story into more descriptive writing. So it looks like the story was written by a junior high school student instead of a professional writer.. 😕
It's just lack of something that interests me. So I find it a little bit boring for such a short story.
I could've finished this in one day, but instead I kept on putting it down because it just couldn't pick up my interest.
I was expecting a more interesting, entertaining, sweet and heartwarming story actually.
But sadly it wasn't like what I thought it would be.
In the end it's just like the typical free book. You know the ones that make you think "Oh no wonder they were giving this book for free" 😐

This was an enjoyable read. The story was a bit predictable, but I still really enjoyed it. The characters were great. I really liked them and seeing the story in both of their views. It really shows the progression of both characters. Kyle is a businessman who owns a publishing company. He is sexy, smart, and Eris's brother, Alex's best friend. Eris is a brave, bold, and hardworking woman. I really loved her character. I am glad that the ending was a happy ending. Overall, a great read.

Nope, nope, and more nope. I enjoyed the smutty parts and that was about it. There was so much alpha male bullshit of the worst variety going on in this story, and some simple apologies at the end are supposed to make up for it. Misogyny was everywhereeeeeeee I looked. And every other page had typos and grammar issues. Pass.

I really enjoyed this one. It was a very good story. I think with a little more depth it could have been a great story, but good is okay too. Eris and Kyle....great characters. I would have liked a little more back story and a little more interaction between them, over all it was a nice, easy read.

I got a copy of this book for free and I honestly didn't think it would come to much. I was wrong. It was a really fast paced read and I ate it up. It was really cute and this is one of my favourite tropes in romance books. I'm a sucker, so sue me. Hopefully I'll pick up anything else by this author if it's as good as this.

This was a freebie from the author for signing up for the newsletter want to say thanks to instafreebie. Well to start with had to read this book on my computer which I never do because the only version I had of it was an epub.
Okay to really start this review now very nice New Adult book about a sweet young virgin that has had a crush on her brothers best friend who happened to be the boy next door. Unsuspecting college student Eris runs into Kyle on one of what feels like her worst day of college so far and sparks continued meet ups. Overall good story but seems a little tired of a story. Can't count how many times I've seen the story of either brother's best friend or best friend's brother and they typically go with this story line some how come crashing together, admit feelings for each other after repressing them for sake of sibling/friend, have a fight with brother/bestfriend, make up after fight, and live happily ever after.

I love the characters of Eris and Kyle. This is not a story that is completely unique but I really love the overall story and the different nuances of characters and stories. I love having the point of view of both characters and knowing what they both are thinking. The story has a beautiful knight in shining armor and a gorgeous strong brave woman who comes into her own. I definitely recommend this story. Beautiful!

Would have read it in one sitting but had to go to work.
Eris and Kyle's story is a straight up love story without all the drama and plenty of chemistry.
Curious if there will be a story for Alex. Would love to see him and Eris' roommate Linda get together.

A wonderfully written older brother best friend secret crush story. I really enjoyed the uniqueness of this storyline. Excellect loveable characters and well derserved hea. Eris last year of college is struggling with her journalism presentation. When she runs into Kyle her secret love who helps her by being her subject matter for her project. I enjoyed their journey with trying to deny fireworks of their chemisty, their trails, some misinterpretations and how Eris's brother Alex was handled. Intense really gripping page by page addiction. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.

Ok, this is just a a “quickie” review. Unfortunately, I’m in a hospital and asked my husband to post this since I don’t have the time or ability right now to do better - even though the book definitely deserves it.
Bottom line: five stars. This was one wonderfully fun novel and definitely recommended. It had just what I wanted and was well written and with a great plot and great cast of characters.

Great characters, storyline and plot. A romance that is so well written it kept me on the edge from start to finish. Characters are likeable and well described. They have known each other since early childhood and she is attracted to him but he is her brothers best friend. But she has saved herself for him because she has a big crush on him. Can they go a step further and be more than friends?

You'll fall in love with Eris and Kyle. He was her brother Alex's best friend and she had a secret crush on him when she was 15. They meet again when she was in college and he was helping her profession. The chemistry is there and love developed. A sweet romance that is easy to read. This is a short story. Under 150 pages. Felt there should of been more to the story. Not a bad story just loads missing for me. Also lacking some more insight into characters.
