I really didn't like these two characters. Bland. So bland. Their story was so uninteresting that we also had to have chapters dedicated to Andrea and Ethan in a story that is less than 100 pages.

This story was just perfect! It was everything I could have hoped for Andrea and Ethan and then the main story of Serena and Jackson was just sweet and hot! There was even a slight suspense aspect that tied-in at the end. I recommend reading the other books in the series before reading this. I would also recommend this book to friends-to-lovers romance readers.

Picked this up as a suggested for you on KU. I probably should have read reviews and I wouldn't have started the series, because you know me, I struggle to DNF. Writing this review after DNF'ing the series after book 6. These books are novella length, which leads to poor world building, rushed/lackluster relationships, and just not a lot of depth. I only made it to book 6 because I wanted to see the stories of the main characters who had been mentioned since book one and because the overarching plot needed resolved. I was PISSED at book 4 and felt betrayed by the author for allowing the FMC to be harmed when she chose to save the previous 3 FMCs from horrible situations in time. I feel like book 7-9 she was just throwing in new people for the sake of trying to keep it going.

The author does all readers a disservice by not putting appropriate Trigger Warnings. Her statement was vague and honestly, if she had done due diligence, I would not have read this series based on the TWs.

This was a great addition to the Mountain Men Series. Serena and Jackson have been best friends since they were children. Neither one has thought of their relationship in any other terms. But one night changing everything. Now Serena and Jackson are both having thought that go beyond friendly. Things get a bit complicated when Jackson becomes very jealous when he thinks Hunter may be after Serena. Can Jackson handle seeing his best friend with another guy? The suspense only added to the storyline. And it was great seeing Ethan and Andrea finally get their HEA as well. Highly recommend!

This is another hit for Ava Grace,,,, she's killing it doing these Mountain Men stories,,,, I love them,,,, I say keep them coming,,,, !!!

Serena Bryson has a problem, she sits and watches everyday,,,you see her best friend, Jackson, thinks he is in love with a girl he chases around, a girl that can't love him,,,, well, not as good as I could, and he is infatuated with Faith, but she broke it off with him and has went to Coop,,,, I don't know why he can't just see that that is where she wants to be and get over her already,,, but, I will sit here, as his best friend and help him however he needs,,,,, 

Jackson's mom and Serena's mom were best friends and as it was, Serena and Jackson grew up together, she is like part of our family and much more since her mom died,,,, And I am grateful for her friendship after what has went down between I and Faith,,,, I can't believe Faith has went to be with Coop,,,, but I've always been in love with Serena,,, but I know she'd never love me, not like that, and she's been seeing Hank, she probably wouldn't think of me like she does with Hank,,, so, I'll just sit back and be her best friend,,,,

I really enjoyed reading this book,,,, I felt the highs and lows of these 2 character's and then they have some action and adventure involved and some of that steam that makes things hard to miss,,, I would so totally recommend this book to anyone,,,, !!!

WOW totally loved reading this book. Ava has the amazing ability to make you feel like you know these people and you get totally lost in her books.
Jackson and Serena are best friends they have been since they were born, as their mums were best friends the whole of their life's
Whilst night out to the Shack Jackson and Serena tell each other some home truths. Serena tells Jackson that he is not over Faith dumping him to be with Coop. And he told Serena that she wasn't over Callum. But it was different for Serena, Callum died but it had been years. They agree to stop and to get drunk tonight!
Two very drunk giggling best friends make there way back to Jacksons, in the hope that there is a spare cabin on the Jackson family resort. But sadly there are no cabins available so Serena says she will just stay over like old times. Old times being when they were a lot younger. The night ends with Jackson and Serena sharing a very passionate kiss. One that's puts thought in both their heads but they agree to forget about it. Easier said that done.
This is a fantastic read that just wanted me to knock some sense into the pair. It made me laugh and it back my heart sing. And this being an Ava Grace book there are twists and turns along the way. What I did love was catching up with Andrea.

Serena and Jackson have been best friends since they were kids. Jackson finally gets the girl only to lose her to another man. This leads Jackson and Serena to go out drinking together to forget their troubles but this act that results in a steamy hot kiss start a new round of trouble. This starts a very emotional journey with many twists and turns. This is the 5th book in this series and in part reads like a stand alone but also reads as part of a series. There were big references to previous stories in this book that would have required you to have read them to understand them. I have not read any of the previous books so it did make some scenes difficult to read which is the reason for my 4 star review. The main story was really well written and I really enjoyed the characters. I plan on going back to the beginning of this series and reading all of them and then reading this one again. It should make this book that much more enjoyable.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fifth book in the Mountain Men series. In this book, Jackson realizes he has gotten over being in love with Faith, who left him for Coop. Jackson and Serena have been best friends since they were children. Serena has recently started to notice Jackson after watching him love Faith for years and try to move on with other women. Serena and Jackson decided to get drunk one night and ended up back at Jackson's cabin. When they kiss, they both realize it was probably the alcohol and are awkward the next day. Jackson wants to talk to Serena, but she is avoiding him and when another man tries to get Serena's attention, Jackson is jealous. There is also a rash of robberies around the businesses in town and Ethan has no leads. Ethan and Andrea are still together and Andrea is slowly healing from her rape. I loved catching up with everyone in this book and really enjoyed seeing Jackson find happiness. I laughed at Jackson and thought he knew he loved Serena. I love this series and look forward to reading the last book.

In this book we meet Serena Bryson and Jackson. Both Jackson and Serena have scars from past relationships. They have know each other since they were little and know exactly what buttons to push when they need to get their point across. Now though those buttons may have been pushed a little to hard. After one night of feeling sorry for themselves they decide that getting drunk sounds like a good idea. That is until they have the mother of all kisses. Can they find a new normal and finally find their HEA or will the past continue to cloud everything and destroy their chances?

This is an amazing book. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. This book can be read as a stand alone but I do recommend that you read all the stories in order so you don't ruin any surprises. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

An emotional romance with twists and turns. 💖

I have to honest here... after the last book in this series, I wasn't sure I was going to finish it out. But I'm glad I gave it another chance. This series is interconnected to the point that it is really necessary to start it from the beginning and read it through in the order it's written to truly follow it. I've done that, but in the last book, I was caught off guard by a tragic event and really didn't speciate how it was dealt with... then. However, as with other series, each story builds on to the next one and this one is no different. 💞❤️️💞

In this one, Selena and Jackson have been best friends from the time they were children. Yet lately, those feelings are changing and that scares them both. It's really great friends to lovers romance with much more going on in it. 💕💗💕

This is the 5th book in the Mountain Men Series by Ava Grace and it is well worth reading.  It can be read as a standalone but is far better appreciated when read as a part of the series.  This is all about Jackson and Serena who have been best friends for what seems like forever.  When Jackson's heart is broken by the woman that he thought was The One, Serena is so sorry for her friend.  After a night of alcohol, they end up is a passionate kiss that changes everything for them. Or does it? Is Jackson just using her because she is there or is he really seeing her properly for the very first time?  So wonderfully written by Ava Grace and whilst it is rather short, it is a lovely story to read. This is one of the best friends to lovers books I've read in a while. Serena and Jackson have been friends since childhood and have been there for each other through good times and bad. After a night of drinking and one kiss things change for the two best friends. Serena cant face Jackson as she is frightened that he will realise that she has feelings that go deeper than just friendship. Jackson finds himself getting jealous of the attention Serena is getting from Hunter and realises that he wants more from her.... he wants her.
Will that be the end of their life-long friendship?
As usual the drama never ends in Creede and finds the brotherhood and residents standing together to overcome the newest menace that has hit their town.

I have absolutely love this entire series and this book is a great edition to it.

This is Jacksons story we met him in the previous book where he believed he was in love with Faith but she found true love with Coop now it is his turn for a happy ending. Serena has always been friends with Jackson and she is devastated for him when the love of his life leaves him for another man after all he was the one to support when the man she loved was killed. When emotion flares between them after they both get drunk they both feel that it is best to ignore it even though they kissed. What is really happening are these two destined for one another is it really true love will they both finally get the HEA they both deserve You need to read this wonderful sweet love story a great edition to this series

Another amazing book in the ‘Mountain Men’ series where Jackson finally gets his HEA. It is a compelling, funny, well written, interesting romance. Amazing storyline with surprising twists and turns. It moves along at a brisk pace, is action-packed, suspense-filled, and emotionally deep. Loveable characters - the chemistry between best friends Serena and Jackson is off the charts and undeniable. This book also provides the closure we missed from Andrea and Ethan’s story – really appreciated that. This is an on the edge of your seat read; the plot is consistent, engaging, and will grip you from beginning to end. I can hardly wait to read Hunter's story. Definitely recommended.

Serena and Jackson have been friends forever and its takes one night for everything to change between them. Jackson thinks his world is over when his girlfriend leaves him for someone else. Serena and Jackson go out to drink his troubles away and end up kissing. Serena is happy about the kiss because she has wanted Jackson for awhile however she can tell that he is confused and unsure what to do. Will this end their friendship? Can Jackson see that Serena is who he should be with?


This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Jackson and Serena is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

Not what I expected. Not at all. But that is in the most positive way. Mountain man stories are normally much alike each other but this one surprised me. I liked it a lot. Well written story with a nice storyline and plot. I like that the characters and how they develop.
A passionate and emotional read with twists. Enjoyable and recommendable.

It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. It is rather short but enjoyable to read. A friends to lovers romance that gets out of plan after a drinking night. About finding and seeing what is right in front of you. To find love where not expected.
There are passion, drama, protectiveness, betrayal, hot scenes and lots of chemistry in this amazing story.

A fantastic, captivating best friends to lovers story. Serena and Jackson have been best friends for years with emotional, heartbreaking scars that prevent them from moving foward in life for a time. Everything changes one drunk night. Each book in the Mountain Man series is well written with a great story line and wonderful characters and Mountain Man's Best Friend is no different. Serena and Jackson must go through their own emotional journey in order to find love. Readers who have read the entire series thus far will also meet up with Andrea and Ethan and discover how they are both healing and progressing in their relationship. I have loved reading this series and can't wait to read more.

Jackson's in love with Faith, but Faith leaves him for another man. It is hard to get Faith off his mind. Until Serena and Jackson goes out and decides to get drunk to try and forget their troubles. It starts with a single kiss and now best friends are confused. I love reading this sweet story about friendship and love. I couldn't put this book down, it was that good. Ava Grace did a great job with this one. I look forward to reading more from her.

I absolutely love this Mountain Man series by Ava Grace, this is Jack’s and Serena’s story. Jack was in the last book he was in love with Faith but Faith was in love with Coop, so now it’s Jack’s time to have a story for himself and boy oh boy what a story it is. Jack and Serena are best friends they end up going out to dinner they get drunk and end up in Jack’s cabin and one thing leads to another and the friends that have grown up together have sex. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Another great book

I guess everyone saw Serena and Jackson belonged together except Serena and Jackson. I haven't looked ahead at the rest of the books in this series but I hope Hunter gets a girl. Thank you for extending Ethan and Andrea's story. Serena and Jackson were best friends since childhood and she fell in love with someone else. Jackson was always infatuated with Faith. Things just didn't turn out the way they thought. What a kick in the butt. Read the book it's really good. Thanks :)

This friends-to-lovers romance was very enjoyable. It was super easy to connect with Serena. She was sassy and fun. Jackson was likable and together, I thought they made a very good couple. Their chemistry was steamy and the emotional connection between then was strong. All the above added to the entertaining storyline made for a great read and a welcome addition to this series. Of my own accord, I am posting a sincere review.

Ava's hit it outta the park with this one! More "loose ends" we're tied up from the previous book in the series which is fabulous.

In regards to this story, the chemistry that built stronger between Jackson & Serena was beautiful & became completely immersed in this book.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone - It's a great follow up in the series & I can't wait for the final instalment of this rollercoaster series to come out.

Very well written. Sometimes love is the best when it is started with best friend's. But to pine for someone and watch them with someone else hurts tremendously. And then when you do kiss is it love or something else. How do you know. This is both heartbreaking, sweet, exciting, surprising, some twists an turns, very emotional in spots and so much more.
