When it comes to the kind of drama that goes hand-in-hand with the street life, none have dealt with it more than the Baptiste family. The question is, do they have what it takes to make it through and remain victorious or will the demons of the street win in the end?
Jules Jr., better known as J2, is exceptionally smart. But no matter how gifted J2 is academically, the Baptiste blood runs through his veins, and despite his father’s disapproval, he decides that he wants in on his father's street legacy. No one can juggle running a drug empire and being a college student better than J2 and he's set on proving it. But his father always told him that when it comes to hustling, the bad outweighs the good, and J2 begins to see that. When he’s not dealing with incompetent, thieving workers, he has to deal with hustlers from out of town trying to infiltrate his blocks. Before he can spring into action, Jules comes to the rescue, making J2 feel some type of way. How can he prove that he’s just as good a boss as his father if his father won’t let him handle his own business? On top of that, J2 finds himself in a love triangle when he grows a little too fond of his homegirl Jazlyn, when his heart is supposed to belong to Natori. With all this happening around him, will J2 prove that he can live up to the legacy his father started before him and keep a hold on the matters of the heart?
Jules always forbade his daughter, Reign, from dealing with hustlers, and she always listened. And when she starts dating a rapper by the name of Tre da Don, Jules is definitely not pleased. Jules doesn’t trust him as far as he can throw him, but Reign is smitten with the charming man, and soon she’s all in. It doesn’t take Reign long to realize that her father may have been right about Tre, and when he betrays Reign in the worst way, he may just have to pay with his life.
Marital bliss should be a given but for Kymani it isn't. Although she hasn’t caught Jacques cheating in ages, she still has this unsettling feeling that something is going on behind the scenes. The feeling is nagging her to the point that Kymani takes drastic measures to find out the truth. They say be careful when you go looking for something because you just may find it, and she has to learn that the hard way. Kymani and Jacques’s relationship will never be the same, but in the end, will the changes be for the better?
Lyric and Jules are happily married, and their love is stronger than ever, but Lyric is fighting a demon that no one knows about but her. She understands that she’s playing a dangerous game; however, no matter how much she tries to pretend, Lyric no longer has control over her life. When Jules is made aware of the secret, all hell breaks loose, and Lyric is forced to face her problems. The only thing is, she doesn’t think that there is anything to fix. Lyric thinks she’s fine, and that puts a strain on her marriage. Jules will never give her up without a fight, but Lyric may need help that even he can’t give her.
The Baptiste Boyz are still the s$&@!!! And I love it❤️❤️. Please let Kymani find herself and happiness don’t let her be broken & bitter she deserves better, truthfully Jacques was never in love with her. I hope she finds herself in the next installment and Jacques gets with his ex and she does him dirty. J2 shouldn’t get involved with Jazlyn while he’s still in a relationship this could get ugly. Ready for part 2.
This was an okay read for me... It read at a nice steady pace... Startednoff a little slow but quickly picked up the pace... I did feel that there was a little to much over detailing but overall I liked the storyline... This is a continuation of "How the Baptiste Boys took over North Carolina" Although it is a part of that series I was still able to read this with no problems... Reign is a big daddies girl and she can get whatever she wants from him...She is pretty much spoiled... However, one day while shopping ahe had to make a big decision on which purse that she wants to buy... She knew she could only get one because her dad put a limit on her credit card... This was stressing her out until a man approached her offering to buy her both purses in order to help her with her dilemma... This man happened to be Tre Da Don the rapper... This one meeting started a whole chain of events and a relationship blossomed from there... The only thing is that Tre is not really who he presented himself to be to Reign and one mistake may have just cost him his life... J2 is coming up in the streets... And while he is the man in the streets he is also in school and ver smart... He has his girlfriend Natori but he also has his good friend Jazlyn... Natori feels some type of way about the relationship that Jazlyn and J2 have... So because of that J2 has to sneak around to talk with one hang out with his friend... One night with Jazlyn opening up to J2 about her past has cause a change in their relationship... What direction will the whole triangle that J2 is in go... I could not believe how things went down with Jacques and Kymani... Kymani is struggling with how everything happened and what was said...Yet Jacques feels okay with the way things went down and his past has just presented itself back in his life... How will he handle this... Lyric has been sneaking behind her families back with an addiction... It took a while but Jules has finally seen this... Now how will they be able to handle this... Now to see what part 2 will bring.. So many questions that u need answered... And things that I want to see how it will play out...
After so long Jules still doesn't play. Reign wanted to be grown and not take heed to any warnings and had to learn the hard way. She put way too much into the situation with Tre and look how it ended. J. J. was doing the most with the back and forth. He messed up big time and I'm glad Stacy had enough sense to not continue to be made a fool of although Arbrianna really shouldn't have allowed the disrespect either. Kymani went too far for the truth but she really needed to know what was the issue with Jacques. Lyric kept putting the obvious off until it was too late and Jules found out. She needs help bad and hopefully she won't run from getting all that she needs. I don't really care for Natori but Jazlyn seems to be a better fit for J2. She's been through some things in her past but I loved the friendship she shared with J2. I can't wait to see what more is waiting for the heirs to the Baptiste throne.
I absolutely love the Baptiste boys and although they are retired, they are still just as dangerous as before. Jules will confront the devil when it comes to his kids and it doesn’t matter that they are grown. I hope that Kymoni finds love and moves on with her life. She wanted the truth, but she wasn’t quite ready for it. Lyric has a long road ahead of her since she feels that she doesn’t have a problem. Can’t wait to see what book two has in store for J2 and Jazlyn.
The Author has done it again. Couldn't put the book down. It was good to catch up with what has been going on with the Baptiste Boys and to get a look into the lives of their kids. J2 and J.J are following in their father's footsteps and Reign has gotten herself caught up where her family has to come to her rescue even though she might not be happy with the outcome. Can't wait for the next installment to see what happened after the Author left that big cliffhanger.
I’m glad I finally read about the Baptiste boys and I love them and their sons. I absolutely loved this book. It was great. Filled with just enough drama...I really would love to see J2 with Jazlyn...I hope JJ gets with Stacy instead of her sister....I felt so bad for Kymani...this is definitely a must read...Natisha you never disappoints me...I can’t wait to read part 2...
I just loved the whole Baptiste Boys series, man whn i say Jules ain't no joke whn it comes to his family. Jacques knw he was wrong for saying he didn't wnt to he married anymore. I wish there was a spinoff of Kymani giving Jacques his krama bc he deserves to feel what he put her though. This author did a hellva job with this series and i really enjoyed reading it.
I loved the Baptiste Boys and their heirs look like their just as bad. It was nice catching up with the family and seeing how things are going. It's so much going on and I can't wait for all the drama to unfold cause I know it's going to be good.
You will not end the book like this! Loved it. I love Jacques but I hate Kymani left him. Jules is still crazy and hate his daughter got raped. Cannot wait until Part 2 comes out. Good job!
The Baptiste were hell but I’d have to say the offspring brought it but being the boss Jules was he was inclined to step up when they fell short rather that be life or the game and I’m here for it all , you did your thang as usual ❤️
Now I did enjoy this book but where is the ending for the kids and will Lyric get off the pills since she hiding them and what about J2 and his relationship with Natori and Jacyln? Part two please.
Glad that you decided to do a story on the Baptiste Boys .Reign needs to concentrate on school . Jazlyn needs a good friend. Lyric is traveling down a dark road cant wait for part 2.
Wow this was deep, addiction, and rape is very real. So glad you brought the Baptiste Boys back I miss them. That ending had me eager to find out what's gonna happen in the final installment. Natasha Raynor is a very talented Author.
I definitely recommend this book for reading. The story flowed smoothly and you can follow the characters with ease. I didn't notice any grammatical errors. I can't wait to read part 2.
Great book, Jules and Jac stay on go. Reign should of known it was over for Tre. Lyric on them pills, Kymani doing voodoo. Whew Chile. Let me hurry up and read the next one.
All of the emotions in this story. Jacques and Jules still don’t play. Reign had the men in her life crashing out. The Baptiste family ain’t one to play with. I’m going down her catalog now.
I enjoyed! I can tell Jules ain’t no joke. I am liking J2, however I am undecided who I lime hime with. Reign should have known Tre was with the bull crap.
I absolutely loved it. You have a fan for life. That whole family is the shit. Dad and his brother may have stepped down but they will still ride for their families.
Didn’t realize at the time that I downloaded this book that it was a rerelease that I read a few years back, but I love the Baptiste boys and I can read their stories over and over again.
I loved it. It was good from the beginning to the end. I was so that Jacques and Kymani were finally able to be friends I loved that for them and that she found happiness again
