Interesting guidebook on all things Trail running. Well written and helpful tips. Some claims made are very bold and I'm not sure if some of those are accurate (all the magnesium talk is different of everything else I've read) but I'd need to do additional research on that. Also, the author relies a lot on gels and electrolyte tabs/drinks on her runs and advises the reader to do so as well, but there's also loads to be said about natural fueling instead of chemical gels and stuff. So good tips, read all with a grain of salt (or a small sodium tablet, lol).
A great and very readable guidebook. Hanny covers a range of basics in interesting and digestable detail. She adresses and answers a range topics and questions (some of which I didn't know I had) to put the reader on the right path to get the most out of their trail running. Thanks Hanny, looking forward to putting the new knowledge to use to perform wilder!
Hanny delivers as she does in all her endeavours the truth about how to get the most out of not just running but life itself. A great runners bible when getting to know the freedom and beauty of trail running.
Full of interesting pieces of advice for those who are interested in running VERY long distances for hours at a time. That is not me, but likely useful for those who do. Had some good tips for the shorter distance runners.
This little book was very helpful in helping me to think more carefully about my training and trail running. It contained loads of technical sports science information but was still quite enjoyable to read.
Really like the wave approach of training and will look to include that in my planning. Not too sure about the nutrition aspect. Not many people I know use gels anymore and tend to get their fuel from loaded drinks (like the shotz tablets). Still, an easy read with some good tips.
