Glenn Sherwood is a token troubled werewolf, trying to make his way in the big city of Dareklind by laying low and playing it safe. But when Woody gets involved with Conna Holland, the disarmingly beautiful woman quickly learns why he's been on the run. The monster that's been chasing him for the last decade needs to be put down for good if he expects to live any kind of life resembling "normal". To that end, he teams up with Conna's younger brother, Jude, to hunt down the obsessive creature and destroy it for good.
This is the revenge story that brought two oddballs together to form an odd jobs agency - an agency that would eventually cater to the municipal mundane... and the supernatural surreal.
"Black Heart" is the first in the "Badar Consultant Agency" series.
Some head-hopping, minor typos, and -not one, but- TWO unreliable perspectives makes this an interesting mash-up that fails to really deliver. I'll amend my review if I ever get around to releasing the next ones...
