I love growing mushroom and I found this may be the most detailed instructions of helping people beginners like me to have a whole view ,rather details about growing at home , a kind of diy. I don't give it all 5 stars because it did not show me growing any specific kind of mushroom like an example and any difference between them but it is a good book in current shelf.
Doesn't seem as well-organized & simple for beginners as The Essential Guide to Cultivating Mushrooms. However, it is much more comprehensive -- covering more types of mushrooms, as well as additional applications beyond growing for food. The holistic, earth-friendly tone is nice, as is its respect for the contributions of small-scale growers.
This is the number one best resource for any person looking to incorporate the cultivation of fungi into their lives. This book questions many concepts/strategies that are prevalent in commercial fungi cultivation in favor of home-based, low-cost, and practical applications for you. There is ample philosophy on the importance of reciprocity in cultivation and Willoughby’s take on mycopermaculture has been one of the most significant takeaways I’ve had in horticulture.
Light, understandable, fun, and written with true passion and respect for our fungal friends! Do you want to grow a wide variety of mushrooms on a small scale and low budget? Then this book is for you!

I didn’t finish it. Seems solid if you are going to actually grow mushrooms but I am not planning on it, so I bailed as this is mostly for actionable growing.
