A contemporary sports romance with an awesome heroine!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Romance: 🖤💜🤎❤️💙
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📔
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌎
Character development: 👱🏻‍♀️🧔🏻‍👩🏼‍🦰🧑🏼

The heroine: Six Malone - Popular Vlogger on YouCam. Six just got a dream job with her favorite NFL team the Mavericks doing an eight episode series of vlogs during their season. She arrives at the stadium early and the first thing she does is mistake the locker room for the conference room where she was supposed to meet the team and boy does she ever enjoy the view.

The Hero(es): Sean Phillips - He has focused on his career so much that he has never had time for relationships and hasn’t really wanted to. He enjoys women and has taken full advantage of his celebrity status and the football groupies that seem to show up wherever the players hang out.

The Story: Six Malone is a tiny whirlwind of activity and she is very good at what she does. She has always had a crush on wide receiver Sean Phillips, but she knows what a player he is and when she meets him and discovers how cocky he is she decides to show him what she thinks about that.

The narration was so great. Aiden Snow had a deep voice that was great for a football hero and he did the cocky arrogant celebrity so well. But Stephanie Rose stole the show as the snarky, sarcastic ball of energy that was Six Malone. She was brilliant as Six in the Mavericks locker room (a.k.a. Penis Party).

When Six was texting to her best friends about Jason Momoa and Game of Thrones, I wished I could have a friend like her and her drunken rambling about her period was absolutely hilarious. The supporting characters were also fabulous, especially Tiny the defenseman who is always hungry and the QB who watched out for the team. I liked how she became friends with all of the team and they sort of adopted her as a little sister who they liked to party with.

Video Blogger Six from San Diego was hired by Georgia - the NY Mavericks marketing boss - to film a 8-part series about the team.

And our wide receiver superstar Sean takes one look at the tiny, beautiful woman ... and he's smitten!

He always gets the ball, the touchdown, the girls ... but getting Six might be the hardest fight he ever had to fight. She's not making it easy. At all.

She thinks he's way too cocky.
But of course she can't resist his charms for long...

Eeeep - finally Sean's book!

Even if you're not a fan of football, you just need to read this book, because our darling Thatch is in it!!!!!!! 'Cause Sean is Cassie's brother!

I just looove football and football romances, and this book was really adorable
Such a funny and sexy and cute romance.

We almost feel sorry for Sean - the way Six is trying to un-cock(y) that poor guy. But he's not shocked that easily. Totally adorable those two. But they have a long way to go until we'll get that happily ever after - because they both think that this is just temporary. LOL!

I just adored this book. Six & Sean. And all the other guys. Quinn. ♥ Cam, and of course Thatch and Cassie! LOL!

It was mayyybe a tiny little bit long. The back and forth with Six not wanting Sean, when she wanted nothing more than him. A tiny little bit too much. BUT, I still adored everything about this story!

Can't wait to get Cam's story next! And I NEEEEED more of Thatch! And I'm very hopeful that we'll get to see him again sometime soon!

I am so bummed that I did not like this book; mainly because I was really looking forward to Sean's story ever since I read about him in Cassie and Thatch's book. Sigh. And the reason why I didn't enjoy this story was that I wanted and expected more from Sean and Six. Sigh.

To be blunt, he is a total manwhore and she's annoyingly crazy and immature.

Honestly, I couldn't quite understand how they fell in love or how they'll live HEA. Their story is totally insta-lust. As I was reading, I was like "They're fuck buddies."

I was really missing the feels and swooniness of book 1, which I loved.

I wanted more depth to their personalities and their scenes together. And I am not fond of books that are mostly chapters full of sex scenes. Furthermore, I thought some of the jokes were not funny at all -- I felt that some of them even bordered on being mean and insensitive.

Sigh.

Max Monroe is an author whose writing is a hit or miss for me. And I'm sad this one didn't work out. I'm really hoping book 3 of the Mavericks series is more to my taste.

4.5*

*Runs off to setup a YouTube account so I can start vlogging All.The.Things. Your guess is as good as mine as to what exactly All.The.Things. would be, but I want to have as much fun as Six does. And okay, maybe snag me a hot piece of football playing man meat while I’m at it. So yeah, that’s what I’m going to do.*

Six Malone is my newest girl crush. She’s sassy, snarky, and sarcastic. She’s funny, too, and oh so feisty. I loved her spirit and her strength. And not to mention she’s got one of the coolest jobs out there! But I’m not jealous, nope, not one bit.
And Sean, what can I say about Sean??? Other than he’s hot, hot, hot??? He’s so cocky and sure of himself that you can’t help but take delight in seeing Six knock him down a notch or 2 with her well placed zingers and one liners. But if you think he’s going to let a pint-sized cutie get the best of him, well you’ve got another think coming. Sean pulls out the big guns and he’s just so sweet and cute and charming that it’s hard not to fall for him. And try as she might, Six seriously stood no chance against him.

Pick Six is such a fun book! Six and Sean have the best chemistry, and I just loved their banter and back and forth. I really love stories like this, when things flow so seamlessly with only a minor hiccup or two between the couple, it makes my romcom loving heart happy! And it was great to see my favorites, Cassie and Thatch again. I’m not sure if Georgie should be worried that Cassie might have a new best friend or not!

Oh my! I haven't laughed this hard reading a book in quite a while. Max Monroe return to their Rom-Com roots in Pick Six, the second in the 'Mavericks Tackle Love' series. While I hadn't read the first book in the series, I wasn't terribly lost as this book focuses on another player on the fictional New York Maverick football team, Sean Phillips... our girl, Cassie Phillips Kelly's brother! Yes, friends, we get a cameo from old friends... and I fluffing LOVED it!!!

No spoilers as that isn't my way, I will just tell you that, I enjoyed the quick wit, intelligent banter and signature writing flair that Max Monroe have become synonymous with.

You all know, that I am a Spotify lover, so I had their premade playlist queued up and listened along while reading and it just heightened my enjoyment. I truly love it when an author or in this case, authors; take the time to put together a group of songs that musically inspired them while they were writing... you can almost feel the musical connection...it's spooky.

Pick Six was a quick, enjoyable read and as an ARC there were a couple things that I am sure will be fixed prior to release. I was provided a copy of this book by the authors in exchange for an honest review. 4 stars.

Dear Lord this was funny!! You gotta love pranks & practical jokes!!

Six is a hilarious vlogger who is hired by Georgia Brooks to do a special feature on the Mavericks football team. She is so feisty & sassy.

We met Sean waaaaaaay back in BANKING THE BILLIONAIRE since he is Cassie’s brother. He has the plays and moves on and off the field which Six finds out pretty quickly.

This writing duo always has great main characters but all the supporting characters are just as great.

I might be on my own here but I just always feel like Max Monroe books are pure entertainment that I cannot get enough of!!!!

“You play dirty, sweetheart.”

Oh, you guys! The authors of Max Monroe is comin’ at ya with the second book in their sports rom-com series, Mavericks Tackle Love. This charming, hilarious, and sexy romantic comedy will have you in absolute stitches from the very beginning! COCKY as hell, Sean Phillips has definitely met his match with the sassy and feisty Six Malone! These two have INCREDIBLE chemistry and hilarious banter between them. It was so addicting, so delicious, and so comical! Once I started, there was no chance in HELL I was setting this baby down, even for a second. Interested in seeing a gorgeous sure-of-himself football hunk’s ego get completely obliterated by the hands of a lovable and charming vlogger? Well, you’ve come to the right place because Max Monroe has GOT YOU!

Hilarity and sexy times ensues in Max Monroe’s latest release, PICK SIX! I can’t wait for fans of this writing duo to get their hands on Sean and Six’s story. I really enjoyed this. It was nearly perfect, except for the constant giggling and the female narrator. Super funny moments in this.

Six Malone (coolest name ever, vlogger, spunky) is determined not to fall for the charms of wide receiver, Sean Phillips (football player, whore), when she's shadowing the team for a vlog series. How can she resist that hunk of man meat? He definitely can't resist her. Problem for him is she gives his ego a run for its money!!! I love the way she's constantly putting him in his place. Thankfully she doesn't make us wait too long before she gives in and rides that big D. Damn it was hot. Then she tells him it was just ok and leaves. I about died. Yes, girlfriend!!! Treat him the way men usually treat women. Loved it. Anyway, they have this passionate sex affair, they're split up for a bit, reunited, and HEA.

There are also a TON of hilarious dick jokes.

One dick, two dick, red dick, blue dick.

I loved all the side characters, which the exception of her girlfriends. I probably wouldn't have minded them if it hadn't been for the narrator's annoying voice. There was a lot of funny banter. The sex was hot, but not nearly enough of it. Super important, I didn't get bored. Even though there was talk about football, it didn't feel repetitive or boring. I was engaged with the story the entire time. That's been something that's hard to find lately.

Like I mentioned, the female narrator sucked. She's got this whiny voice on occasions and then that voice where she's trying to sound seductive and it was irritating. Might be hot if a man were listening, but for me, no thanks.

There's a lot of condom use and I get it, but it's not sexy.

Finally, stop f*cking giggling. You're an adult.

4.5 "Cockdrunk" Stars!!!

I'm a mess. A giggling mess. Tears in my eyes from too much laughing mess. One thing is for certain when reading a Max Monroe book, and that's the amount of laughing they'll put you through. And just a heads up. If you read this book in public you bet your behind heads will turn your way because you won't be able to keep your squealing and laughter at bay.

Pick Six put me in a feel good move. This book had me cackling nonstop. I couldn't for the life of me catch a breath because at every turn a burst of laughter would wail out of me. And OMFG Sean and Six. Gahhhhhh, these two stole the freakin' show! Six was such a damn spitfire. And her feistiness, yasssss girl work it. And don't even get me started with Sean! Daaaaamn that manwhoring tantalizing football player made me H-O-T! He was so freakin' cocky and I lurved it! I mean he could be because he was confident af. He knew he was good, so why not embrace it? And he embraced it alright.

Sean and Six were dynamic. Sparks flew when these two were together. Their banter was off-the-charts. I liked the way that Six put Sean in his place. She didn't make it easy for him and it was good for Sean to work and make Six see there's more to him than his manwhoring ways. And the way they joked with each other was pure gold. Six was the perfect match for Sean. And their chemistry, my gosh their chemistry created fires. Loved these two!

I am so freakin' ready for Trick Play! Desperately neeeeeeed Cam's book right effing now! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!

I'm out. That's it. I'm done. Max Monroe is ruining me. They have that crazy way of writing that just draws you in from the first page and doesn't let you go. Like, seriously. I feel like I'm vlogging right along with Six. I feel like I'm playing football right next to Sean and Quinn and Cam.

So, yeah. I fell in love with Quinn Bailey. I mean, who wouldn't love a man who starts singing Journey while on a train. A midnight train at that? Exactly. Everyone would love him.

Which brings us to Sean Phillips. How in the hell can Max Monroe give us another man who we will want just as fiercely--if not more so, than QB?

Easy. They give us: The Manwhore.

I'm a sucker for that manwhore. I love them so hard. I like watching them go from banging everything with a pulse to settling down, falling in love, and changing their ways. I LOVE that. I know, it's a silly trope, but is it really?! Don't we all want to snag the bad boy? And don't we all secretly want to bang the manwhore, just to see if all that experience pays off?

Just me?

Moving on. Sean and Six are freaking awesomesauce. Six is strong, takes no shit, and puts Sean in his place.
Sean is all bad boy, sexy, and a bad ass on that football field.

He's funny. And fun. And he's so taken with our Six Malone. So, so taken.

If you're still new to Max Monroe, this can't be a bad place to start. I'm loving The Mavericks!

5 swoony, cocky, feisty stars! One-click author with another one-click book!!

Ahhh, Six and Sean. So many different adjectives to describe these two!
Six is fun. She’s who I would picture as Cassie’s best friend. I can see those two getting into A LOT of trouble together. She’s sarcastic, funny, snarky, and overall awesome. I love her bubbly, bouncy attitude, and the headstrong way she attacks life.

Sean is definitely conceited, confident, cocky, and a ladies man. He is good at what he does, and he knows it. On the field and under the sheets. But what he didn’t realize he would be good at is actually falling for a woman. The self proclaimed non-committer doesn’t want to get attached to any one lady and lose sight of what his future in football may hold. Watching his heart grow as he realizes what it’s capable of is so sweet.

And of course small appearances from Thatch, Cassie, and Georgie are always welcome!! Can’t get enough of those lovable characters!!
Definite MUST READ!!

Max and Monroe are the best at writing a good old fashioned rom-com. Pick Six was so much damn fun! Right from the start when we meet Six, and her naughty and hilarious thoughts, I was hooked.

And Sean Phillips? Well, he’s Cassie’s brother so of course we were going to like him! Haha.

This book is perfect if you’re looking for a fun and light hearted read. I sped through it and I thoroughly enjoyed being in Sixy’s world.

Also her chemistry with Sean is awesome, and her bond with the other teammates was wonderful as well.

Full of laugh out loud moments, and some glimpses of the BBB gang, you can’t go wrong. There’s not really much that needs to be said, apart from the fact that this one is so much fun and you won’t be disappointed.

Definitely recommend.

This was too funny! I really liked Six and Sean but let me just say that Six didn't put up much of a fight when it came to Sean. I guess that penis was just way too irresistible. I knew that I was going to enjoy this book when Six mistakenly walked into he Mavericks locker room. OMG, funny as hell. And it really didn't let up from there. The ending was perfect for those two crazy clowns and I was so glad that the authors kept it true to them.

I'm totally looking forward to continuing this series!

Despite the fact that he was a big arrogant manwhore and she tried to play it cool, I liked the book... till the moment she posted a drunk video with telling how she still loved him and his big cock ('who' was actually the main character in this book) while thinking he did already move on...
Not cool, girl, not cool!

Holy fluffin fluffernutters I have died and gone to RomCom Heaven!!!!!
This is a MUST READ for all the book nerds in all the world. Everything...and I mean EVERY FLUFFIN thing about this book is 100% genius storytelling and I want to give this book Six+ stars!!! The storyline is so creatively written, the characters are so uniquely wonderful, the ONE LINERS are pure comedic GOLD....and I just can’t with it all! I was in legit fear for the highlight feature on my Kindle, thinking as I was reading that at any moment it was going to just stop and say NO MORE WOMAN! I have never highlighted so much in just one book and as soon as I finished reading I went right back in to read my favorite parts! Once again with this series the authors bring you one hellavu couple that you will love and swoon for and never forget. It also features different ethnicities just like the first one and I was oh so pleased to read about it! The leading lady Six is hilarious and sassy and incredibly developed in the story that I so wish she was real because I’d have a new beer drinking buddy. And Sean is everything we have all been waiting for.....and how the authors bring the big man and his bigger ego to his knees is the stuff legends are made of. There are not enough words in any language in any dictionary to properly portray the hilarity of this one....just do us all a favor and read it so we can speak the language of Six to each other! This is going to be one of my re-reads in the near future, I can already tell!!!! Seriously, all the fluffin stars for this one!!!

Oh - the Max Monroe I have grown to love is baaacckkkk.. I totally binge read this book, I picked it up and just kept reading like a crazy woman!

The hilarity is back - as always Max Monroe had me laughing out loud while reading. I may have been looked at strangely by my family while reading this book due to my uncontrollable giggles.

Six is ah-maz-ing!  She is a spitfire who doesn't take any crap from anyone.  Especially, Sean Phillips.  Sean Phillips and his ego need to be pushed down a step or two and Six is exactly the woman to do it!

We all fell for the hottie brother of Cassie a few books ago, this book is all about Sean and Six.  Sean just assumes that Six will "pick" him to have a little fun with, but once she overhears this declaration, she is brutal to Sean, prank after prank, push-off after push-off, Sean is thrown the curveball and doesn't know how to handle it.  It's so much fun to see him squirm.

Max Monroe have absolutely drawn me in with their writing and their spectacular storytelling ability.  They continue to bring me into the lives of their characters. I feel as though I am part of the Billionaire Bad Boys and the Maverick Football team.

Max Monroe’s Mavericks Tackle Love series keeps getting better and better and the characters are more scrumptious than ever.

Ladies and gentlemen, Six is my new favorite number! Believe it or not I’ve fallen for a female lead because holy unicorns this girl was a riot. She's witty and vivacious. And if Cassie and Thatcher had a love child in their past life, she would be it. I certainly stole a piece of laugh out loud heaven with her.

Sean was another level as well with his fitting self-confidence, smart comebacks and panty melting one liners. How could you go wrong with this sought-after football star?

They were what each one needed. Aside from their blistering chemistry, this couple’s vulnerable edges beamed towards the end which I ate up like they’re the last of my favorite fluffy pancakes.

While the steam level of this romantic comedy started high early on, the lead up to the light conflict were nothing short of amusing. Banters left and right. Hilarious and playful encounters. Throw in the mix those sexy boys of the Mavericks football team. Moreover, it was so good to see the whole BBB gang once again even in just snippets.

Pick Six was quick, sexy, one hell of a blast and ended with a nice, heartwarming touch. Another one to put in your growing mound of Max Monroe favorites!

I might just have a new Max Monroe favorite heroine after reading their newest release, Pick Six.

There’s just something about Six Malone that resonated with me throughout the entirety of her and Sean’s book. It might be the fact that she doesn’t back down or mince words, even when it comes to a certain manwhore Maverick who just so happens to be her favorite NFL wide receiver. Or, it could be her independence, her feisty attitude, and the powerful woman she is within her pint-sized frame. Whatever it is, I am beyond smitten with this talented and creative vlogger, and I couldn’t wait to see her put Sean Phillips in his place, giving him a taste of his own medicine and challenging his self-perception when it comes to the ease with which he gets or takes whatever he wants.

Six is definitely a woman I would adore hanging out with because she’s genuine and caring, and even though she cusses like a sailor, which only makes me love her more, she doesn’t do it to be offensive; she does it because that’s who she is and it’s that playfulness…that outspokenness that not only tantalizes a certain NFL star but also keeps him coming back for more…despite his assertion that he can’t cope with any distractions during the season.

I can’t deny that Sean Phillips absolutely backs up his arrogance, both on and off the field. He most definitely has a magnetic personality - one that proves that he has every right to be the self-assured and larger-than-life athlete he is. But taking Sean down a few pegs wouldn’t hurt either, and I think that Six is the perfect girl for the job because she won’t stroke his ego, even if she wants to desperately stroke Sean’s ‘peen-asurus-rex’ that she just happened to see close up before she even met the egoistical man himself.

Pick Six is one hilarious romantic comedy. The relationships that Max Monroe creates between Sean, Quinn, and the other New York Mavericks illustrate the close bond created when a group of men work together for a common goal. And, the way the players allow Six into their inner circle and treat her as an honorary member of the team, giving her exclusive behind the scenes access and helping Six’s video blogger career gain even more notoriety and popularity is a testament to who she is and just how comfortable she is around these sexy AF football players.

I can’t get enough of Max Monroe’s heroes and heroines. They’re funnier than hell with fantastic personalities and the witty exchanges and sexual innuendoes make me blush and laugh out loud on a regular basis.
I’m completely intrigued by Cam, so I’m excited that his story is up next, and hopefully, readers will get to catch up with previous couples because my girl crush on Six Malone is still holding strong even after I finished the book.

I've been umming and ahhing between giving this either 2 or 3 stars. I had high expectations, since the first book Wildcat was so darn cute and fun. I settled on a reluctant 3 stars. Max Monroe were trying a little too hard with this book. Six Malone was sassy, feisty and a tad bit too much. Her successful vlog has gotten her the opportunity of a lifetime to film an 8 part series about the NY Mavericks. She shamelessly eavesdrops on a conversation between some of the players, with the biggest playboy/manwhore Sean Phillips staking a claim on her. She decides to give him a taste of his own medicine. And quite frankly I didn't get what she was trying to do except wave a red flag in front of him. Her pranks were juvenile and kind of lame. As for Sean, he was overly confident, arrogant and a sucker for punishment.

The two of them play a game of cat and mouse throughout the whole book with way too many internal ramblings. There was hardly any face time between the two of them except for when they were having sex. And then there was the obvious miscommunication.

I just wasn't feeling this at all. Six was too much like Cassie Phillips from the Billionaire Bad Boys series and it wasn't funny or entertaining. Sean was way to wimpy and woe is me instead of living up to being the man. Argh. Here's hoping the next one is better.

Spoilers ahead

Six( I was really hoping for an explanation of her name) is hired to be the video blogger of the Mavericks, she overheard manwhore Sean making some comments and decides to cut his ego down to size. I loved the initial parts of this book as Six delivered some comedic gold as she pranked and made fun of Sean. She was sarcastic, witty, loud, confident and strong. Even with her attraction to Sean she was determined not to give in to the well known playboy manwhore.
Sean is Cassie's brother and is cocky with the ego to match, he takes Six's revenge in good spirits and apologizes when he realised she over heard him.
It all fell apart when they got together, the hiding of the "relationship" and then the eventual separation over a really ridiculous comment that could've been solved with better communication.
Sean attempts to move on ,even trying to leave with someone to hook up but he just isn't able to go through with it. Six gets drunk, posts an ode to Sean and his giant perfect penis (ughhh) they get back together, ok epilogue, the end.
I never felt the connection between these 2 and even the epilogue didn't convince me that they loved each other, I struggled through this one with some of the humor just sailing straight over my head and little loose ends that are still nagging at me (she thinks during the separation he hooked up but she doesn't even ask??). I however already own all 3 books so I'm moving on to book 3 hoping for a win. #fingerscrossed

*I’ll be returning tomorrow to write this review after I get some sleep*

Ok. It’s ‘tomorrow’.

I loved this book.
There was humor. There was hot sex.
...There was assumptions made about the other’s intentions that could’ve never happened if ONE of them (*coughSeancough*) hadn’t been a chicken shit, and told the other how he felt.

We got to see all the characters we first met in Wildcat, now of course with Quinn and Cat as a couple. Plus some of the characters from her billionaire series. I appreciated the little tidbits we got of them, here and there.

Here’s one thing that bothered me. The model on the cover of this book is either really light skinned or just plain white, and the entire time the authors refer to Sean as having a ‘mocha’ complexion...kind of disappointing that we get the white chocolate ‘mocha’ instead of the milk chocolate variety...

Also. Can I just say.
The way Six talks about cocks is absolutely hilarious. I loved the opening scene of the book. And I totally saw that embarrassing part at the ending coming a mile a way but it was still super entertaining.

I forgot how much I love this author duo’s writing, but best believe I will not be forgetting again anytime soon.

Pick Six was a good story. I loved the beginning so much I thought that would be a five-star rating all the way. But then I suffered from abandonment issues—in a I want to climb on the roof, then jump off of it to avoid finishing this book sense—and I couldn't keep my eyes from wandering to that little oh-so-slowly increasing number of percents on my Kindle. *sigh*
What it is with me and Max Monroe's books? I love them, I like them, I hate them. (The scale of enjoyment is definitely not consistent and probably makes a weirdo out of me because I keep reading them.) Most of the time, the books start to bore me to death around 60 % and even though I could try to lessen the blow and wrote it in some flowery language, I won't. It's the fillers' fault.
Just for the record, I don't hate filler chapters/scenes at all, sometimes I found them necessary to lighten (or slow down) the story but I can't shake the feeling that Max Monroe is mainly using them just to meet the quotas...

Sean Phillips is the NY Mavericks wide receiver. He’s equally an athlete as he is a ladies man. Sean prides himself in being able to charm any woman and taking home a new girl after every game. He’s talented on the field and off and he sure as hell knows it, too.

When the Mavericks hire YouCam star, Six Malone, to do an 8-part vlog series on the team, Six feels like she’s been given the chance of a lifetime. The second Sean lays eyes on Six, he knows he needs to make her his. But Six isn’t easily charmed and she knows how to put Sean in his place, humbling him left and right.

Sean has always been Six’s favorite player on the Mavericks—so of course she can’t pass up the opportunity to sleep with him. But Six has worked hard to be where she is and she didn’t get this opportunity by sleeping with members of the team. And she doesn’t want anyone to get the wrong impression, making it hard for Sean and Six to be seen together in public.

What starts out as a sex-only relationship takes a turn into more serious territory, which takes both Six and Sean by surprise. But when the 8-part vlog series is over, Six is set to move back to LA and her hot fling with the Maverick’s wide receiver could end just as quickly as it started.

Pick Six by Max Monroe is the second installment of the Mavericks Tackle Love series. I had high hopes for Pick Six since I absolutely loved Wildcat. Was this book as good as Wildcat? No it wasn’t. But was Pick Six still really enjoyable? Yes it was. I loved the banter between Six and Sean, which luckily was very different from Quinn and Cat’s from Wildcat. I have to say I liked Quinn’s personality better than Sean’s, but that’s more of a personal preference. This was a fun, quick romantic read. It can be read a as a stand-alone, but I think it’s better read with its companion novels. I liked the ending, but I found it to be similar to Wildcat’s. The endings are almost too good, almost too convenient. Even still, I can’t wait to read the next book in the series that follows Cam Mitchell. 3.5/5 stars.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the second book in the series, and it is a great follow on from Wildcat! It runs in the same world as the Billionaire Bad Boys, and loyal fans will enjoy encountering some of them again. Another great Sports romance, this time with a vlog series at the Mavericks bringing us the very energetic and happy character of Six. There is plenty of sport both from the side of an invested spectator and the players, with just the right mix of success and hard work to be believable and interesting.

Once again we get both sides of the story - which makes for a lot of fun, and as Six is making a series about the Mavs, the opportunity for fun and teasing is ramped up quite a lot. She needs to be around the team a lot ... although her first encounter is not exactly scripted, lol! Both she and Sean fight their attraction to each other, and pass it off as an elongated hookup, but we know better, and fans of Max Munroe will know that somehow it guaranteed to work ... even with a number of twists along the way.
It was fab to catch up with Cassie, who is as crazy as ever, and as in lust with husband Thatch as much as when they first met. Her developing friendship with Six is a great addition to the book.

I highly recommend you grab a copy and settle down to read Pick Six, ideally after having enjoyed Wildcat, and no doubt you will add the next to books to your wishlist (just like I have!)

Good lord, y’all know how much I love my football romance, right? Like L-O-V-E it! Well, guess what? I absolutely loved Pick Six. Surprise, right? LOL

No, seriously, there’s not one damn thing I’d change. I love Sean and his crazy, alpha male tendencies. His typical “hit it and quit it” mentality when it comes to relationships—he’s been burned by love, so why would he seek it out? He’s perfectly happy living the life of a ridiculously successful football player, has amazing friends, and an equally amazing, loving, crazy family. He’s got it all, right?

Okay, Sean. *insert eye roll here* You’ve just met your match with Six Malone. She’s funny, smart, feisty, independent and straight up gorgeous. She’s a total catch—your perfect match, Sean. And she’s not playing with you. I freakin’ loved watching Six put you in your place, Sean. Loved it.

And Six. Damn woman, can I be your BFF. Sure, I’m old and could easily be your mom, but I feel twenty-five inside. I can try to keep up with you and your shenanigans. Really, I can. Because I want to be you when I grow up!

Pick Six is a perfect balance of snarky, crazy fun along with a whole lotta steam. And holy moly, the steamy parts are some sexy AF times. I loved Six and Sean together. They balanced each other out—loved each other warts and all. And the rest of the Mavericks were super fun too—I love this team and cannot wait until Trick Play releases in August! ~ Missy, 5 stars
