Seventeen-year-old Kami Jamieson is so over being daddy’s little girl. Now that she has captured the attention of Tango, the bad boy from her school, Kami’s love for her family and God have taken a backseat to her teen crush. Although the Jamiesons have instilled godly principles in Kami since she was young, they will stop at nothing, including prayer and fasting, to protect her from falling prey to society's peer pressure. Can Kami survive her teen rebellion, or will she be guilty of dividing the next generation?

As usual, Author-tress (my made up name for my favorIte authors) Simmons, did not disappoint. Kami the oldest granddaughter, cousin, niece, and daughter in the Jamieson clan is experiencing growing pains. Coming of age has its highs and lows; of course dating and 1st loves are seen as a highs....but are they, when that 1st date steers you away from that solid foundation of family values. I sure hope book 10 is in progress..... Just greedy for good reads. ; )
Sorry I'm late posting a review but Pat I want you to know that I really enjoyed The Guilty Generation. You gives a glimpse of the attitude some of today's youth and even a touch of Tyler Perry's Madea (Grandma BB). Good book I really enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed the Guilty Generation. This book talked about the issues the younger generation experiences in our families. I love how the Jamieson family is there to support when there is a need. Grandma BB is still my favorite character. I am looking forward to learning more about the family members in the near future. Hopefully Queen will have her story and I would love to see Victoria's continuing journey. Pat Simmons has done a great job once again.
I absolutely love Parke VI & Cheney’s love story! I’m still praying for a love like theirs😍 How fitting of a story to depict real life struggles of their offspring and how the family all bonded together to address the concern of one individual! I went back and reread some of my favorite books from this series in anticipation of this release!
Thank you for this book. I have missed the Jamiesons. Very good storyline and the issue of rape and sexual abuse was handled well. I look forward to the next book, especially if it is the next generation of Jamiesons.
As a reader of all the books in this series, I was disappointed that our beloved Kami fell victim to peer pressure. But I'm glad Ms. Simmons has covered the trials that children go thru with peer pressure and bullying. It can't be easy for our youth today. Simmons captured the heartfelt emotions of both parent and children. It is hard keeping our kids aligned with their Christian upbringing when the world desires to show them the lusts of the world. I was concerned about Queen's influence, although Queen is unchurched she was a good alternative for Kami during her summer break. Without a doubt, I'm a huge fan of Evangelist Philip Dupree, and this book helped me understand some things that happened in Book 10 (yes, I skipped the order initially, not realizing it was a series and best read in order ). I was so taken by the book that after reading a line, I paused and opened my Bible App to the referenced scripture and God impressed upon me numerous thought (a short sermon / teaching from the Scripture).
After reading this book I wanted more, I hope you have a story for Queen and Phillip something beautiful is brewing there 😊 I love this family so much they encourage each other and always speak the truth. Having Christ is plus for me, I enjoyed this book can't wait to read what's coming next. Ms.Simmons you have touched my heart with your books. God Bless you and your creativity❤
Wonderful theme dealing with older teenagers and their peers and the behaviors they face. Proverbs 22:6, is a good guide and my personal favorite as a single mother as was Deuteronomy 6:6-11 and now my grandsons. I love the revival after the tent meeting in Tulsa. God used "Cami's" troubles for growth that she needed to help her yet to be discovered relative.
I'm anticipating the next book, "Queen's Surrender: to a Higher Calling". 🙃
It's time for stories for the new Jamieson generation. This focus's on 17 year old Kami and she's acting like a typical teenager and her family's main concern is that she doesn't stray from their teaching of God. With her parents, extended family and Grandma BB around, it was an interesting and spiritually power packed read. And it seems like their might be another story between Queenie and another family friend. Great job with the story.
Pat Simmons does it again in this continuation of the Jamieson series. The Guilty Generation explored the real life experience of raising teenagers. As in all of Pat's books, I loved how she maintained the focus on God and living life righteously, even when you make mistakes. I am ready for the next book in this series. Job well done Pat!! Highly recommend The Guilty Generation!!
I am never tired of the stories about this family. They get better with each book in the series's. She is great about connecting the characters in the story. I fee like I am right there with them in the journeys they take.
I really enjoy the commitment to the gospel message without the books being "preachy."
I'm looking forward to seeing the impact Queen brings to the Ministry 😀
Great read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. This was an inspirational story with many lessons. The focus on Kami’s struggle to navigate peer pressure and her faith was insightful. It was nice to catch up with the Jamieson family. I recommend this book.
It was so refreshing to see Victoria get rescued from her tormented life and to see how determined Kami was to let the light of Christ shine through her to be used as the instrument for Victoria’s salvation. What a loving family the Jamieson’s are.
This author is awesome. Her stories are not only great, but provide scriptures. The Jamieson family are dedicated to God and family. This series is definitely a must read!!
The Guilty Generation focuses on Kami Jamieson who is 17 and think she is grown and no longer daddy’s little girl. The way she chooses to show that she is an adult is unbelievable and will test her parents.
The Guilty Generation deals with a lot of issues that teens are currently experiencing in school and in life. The author takes us through so many real situations that are going on and show us that with God we can overcome. I love the family bond between the Jamieson’s. Grandma BB does not take any mess and dares you to mess with her family. This is a great story and I highly recommend it.
