A witch, a deputy, and an owlet with an identity crisis... Dinkville's young fortune-teller is a murder suspect, but the Special Investigator hopes she's not guilty. He needs her insight, but mostly, he wants to keep her close. If she didn't do it, she might know more than the murderer can let her live with.
Gaaaa. This is too short. Just as we get to the good part, it's over. Oh well, if I could do better, I'd be an author instead of a frustrated reader. But this book is exciting, lot's of action, and just a touch of budding romance.
A really strange plot and there was a point where the continuity of what was going on felt out of sync. Plus I must admit that by the end I was befuddled by what was going on. Twin sisters from a witchy family cast a spell to make new best friends in front of a mirror. Unfortunately the spell backfired and one twin has to be in the mirror if the other is outside it. When a detective comes asking for help on a murder case it is the twin that didn't deal with the victim that he finds. As he asks her to help him investigate, he never knows which twin will turn up. He thinks it is just a multiple personality disorder until he inadvertently finds out that they are sisters. Will they find the killer?
This book was very good. Two twin sisters, both witches, every other day one sister is brought into a mirror with a touch letting the other sister out of the mirror. Interesting concept. The sisters help the local sheriff solve a murder. The book was a quick read. Characters were intriguing and fun. Worth the read.
Love the Muir twin stories. So many twists and turns. Really liked the twins situation in this one. Can't wait for the next one or two to see how it plays out.
