Great book, great advices

I really enjoyed this book.
The advices are so practical and ready to implement.

The MVP concept applied to blogging and marketing is one of the most important contributions of Meera’s book.

I have mixed fealings...

While the information and strategies in this book are sound, it was a very dry read. It read like a boring text book, and I would lose focus in a topic I really wanna learn more about. It also focused too much on seeing what the competition is doing rather than having your own ideas, because "nothing is original." That's an actual quoted text from the book. I seriously don't believe this. That's why we have so many remakes in Hollywood these days. Ugh, no! We need to encourage creativity and originality, while still acknowledging what came before us. I believe in this balance (in everything in life, actually). So, that's why a lot of what's in this book doesn't resonate with me, but I'll still implement some of the strategies in the book.

Good Info but repetitive from other books

This book has a lot of good info if you haven’t already read some of her other content. If you have read other books of hers, a lot of the beginning is repetitive from those books. I enjoyed it but would be a little upset if I didn’t get the book for free through kindle because using her CREATE books gives you basically the same end result.

So I guess it depends on if you are someone who learns better by visualization or reading. If you learn better by reading material then go with this book over the CREATE books. I am more of a visual learner myself, so the CREATE books are more my cup of tea for basically the same information.

It's an exceptionally great book.

I finished this book in just one sitting, it's concise, to the point, and delivers value.

But what was my need to begin in the first place to read this book?

I am venturing into a new niche business and I wanted some guide to set a plan for the next 2-3 months, and this book provides that. As a big believer in MVP myself, I realize that I was myself setting resistance around me. Like, do this before starting doing X. X Which by the way is important for growth.

Thank you Meera this is the second novel that I have read, and I hope to read many other.

Easy to read, nice combo of strategy & tactics

Meera’s open friendly voice and clear organization makes this an easy read with lots of tactics sprinkled throughout. So many of these marketing books are fluff or overly self-promotional — not this book. I do wish she would’ve laid out a “Daily-Weekly-Monthly-Yearly” list of activities for new bloggers, but overall this book was valuable and a good use of my time.

I have to start off by saying I thought this book was about a totally different topic. That being said, and while I did not read this book for what it is intended, it's actually not bad. I am not an influencer nor do I want to be. But today, having an online presence is important, and I think this book has some valuable lessons and resources to help you explore them and see what you could possibly to to start a niche topic.

Great book, however not what I was expecting as it was a bit too basic for me. I feel like this could’ve been a blog post to be honest. I also found that some of the concepts presented weren’t fully fleshed out. You would definitely need to read other resources in my opinion. I will say though that I do appreciate how direct and straight to the point Meera is. If you are brand new to marketing I would say go ahead and give it a read!

A book in the ever-growing library of content about content marketing.

Anyone who uses social media (especially Twitter and LinkedIn) or receives marketing emails will recognise the strategies and tactics written about here.

The book is meant to be encouraging and may help some folks, but it had the opposite effect on me. If marketing gurus get their way, every human will communicate via email newsletters and funnel-inspired muck.

Good summarization of content

The author goes in to detail about each aspect of the strategy chosen, why was it chosen and examples for quick visualization. I particularly liked the way the content of the book was more or less summarized in the last chapter so that you get the idea all in one place and if you want to refer about something you can turn back the pages to recall.

Interesting content.

Content is very clear and impress one thing, however, almost people forgot, you can't do anything alone.

The most important valuable in this book is 3 parts (I called maturity): build, borrow, be; besides connect and use efficiency external resources after that build trust.

Simple approach but need habit folloe

Beginners Start Here!

Excellent advice and programming for those looking to establish themselves as experts. Once you become an expert you'll need to move on to other books and resources though. A great follow-up would be "So you're an expert - Here's how to stay on top"

I didn't learn a ton of new stuff from this book, but it doesn't mean the book isn't good. For a newbie, it is very easy to read and well done on the steps to take to influence a target market. Often books are overwhelming but this short, simple step-by-step guide makes it seem doable.

It's an ok book about social media marketing. Nothing that I haven't read before, but ok. However, likes and followers don't make me feel less than a fraud. I misunderstood and was hoping for tips on how to gain expertise about a a topic.
