The day I find the word, “Die ” carved into my dorm mattress, I’m pretty sure I’m not ready for the whole college experience and think I should just pack up and go home. It’s not like I’m having the time of my life anyway—I’m your basic late bloomer. A socially awkward freshman who’s never even been kissed. My best friend from back home has other ideas, though, and somehow convinces her older brother and his friend to take me on as a third roommate in their house near campus. Her very hot brother and his equally gorgeous best friend. It’s basically chiseled bodies, piercing eyes, strong hands, and testosterone twenty-four-seven at my house. They’re the kind of guys a nerdy girl like me could never even dream about. Though, that doesn’t stop me from my lurid fantasies. But the day Shane finds my secret notebook, the one where I outline my plan to lose my flower using the scientific method, he offers me another proposition: He and Fletch will tutor me until I’m ready to take what I learn from our lessons out of the house and into the wild. Now I’ve got two virile men giving me a very adult education, and the one thing I’ve always been good at is being a star pupil. The best part is I don’t have to choose—I get them both and can literally do anything I want to them.Except keep them.
Brill Harper is a pseudonym. Like…a secret identity. By day she’s Clark Kent, writing romance books for young adults and grownups. By night, she’s Brill Harper writing unfailingly filthy, yet super sweet books, that would make her alter ego blush.
She especially likes to writes book about quirky, awkward heroines and alpha bad boys. Well, except that they are really alphamallows once they fall in love. Seriously--these heroes only have one weakness, and it's sticky, sweet love. They don't let anything stand in the way of taking what belongs to them. Ooey-gooey marshmallow hearts in big, burly dominating dudes. What's not to love about that?
Brill's books are filthy/sweet for when you're in the mood for something a little over the top. Okay, a lot over the top. Sorry, not sorry.

So, I picked this up on the recommendation of a couple of book bloggers I'm friendly with on Twitter, but to be honest, I wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. It's super smutty, without a doubt (and I love that), and the tropes are what I'd expect in a typical one-handed read - virgin nerdy girl, hot athletes exploring fun times in bed. Nothing wrong with that, and I've read plenty of them. But it's the time and effort spent in developing this triad's emotional relationship and allowing the reader to spend time in each of their heads that I really liked. It's MMF new adult romance that takes the time to respect the issues of consent and removing as much shame from a polyamorous relationship as they could. Is it perfect? No, especially when delving into the M/M of the MMF, but it was still fun to read. If you're into MMF romances, you may enjoy this.
I honestly need to stop judging books by their covers. Almost every time I’m reluctant to read a book because I hate the cover, it ends up on my favorites shelf. I love that this was low on outside character drama. And I loved the rational ending with the non traditional roles. I love that Shane never felt a passion for anything, and didn’t end up going pushed into a career he didn’t care about. It’s perfect he ended up a stay at home dad
One of the better MMF I’ve read so far. Strong progression of the triad and likable development of feelings between the males. Great sex scenes once they actually had sex. Enjoyed how firm and stand up Fletch was. Few issues though! (Spoilers potentially) The emotional connection between the two male characters eventually took over the book and I felt like they were enjoying the sex between themselves even when all three together more than with the female. I also hated how they mentioned not being separated at Christmas again in the future. But then Christmas isn’t covered in the book. So did Pen go to her families house while the guys went to Fletch’s and they continued to have a happy holiday and sex all during break without Pen? Again, she didn’t feel as important or equal in the relationship after the males began theirs. The females character did not remain consistently shy or awkward. She went from basically a hermit with zero social skills to somewhat normal to cold. There’s a line tossed in where she says in the epilogue she’d be further up in her work if she was more chatty. But the last half of the books really blands her up. I HATED how Fletch and Pen left Shane by himself at the house over summer break. He stayed to take summer classes to avoid his crappy family. While I could understand Fletch going back home to intern with his dad for some of the summer, there was NO reason why Pen had to go back home to work at a Pizza Hut! She could have stayed in the house with Shane and worked anywhere instead of deserting him. Someone else who read it said they thought rent must have been too much and I was like what? The boys had already been in that house for two years and they kept it. It made no since why she left too. For them to have developed emotionally and sexually very maturely for a triad you can’t blame their decisions on being young or in college. No one in a that serious committed relationship would willingly leave the relationship behind temporarily even to go work at a Pizza Hut in their home town. You’d say that you’d just find a job in town to stay at your hoke with the person you love. She had NO other friends in her hometown besides Fletch’s sister who was in Cali at her college.
An amazing read featuring Penelope, a nerd who has to analyze, take notes and research everything including her pursuit to losing her v card. She was a late bloomer and now her body is responding to men and she needs notes to help her understand how to go about her new found urges. Fletcher is the big brother to her BF, and Shane is his roommate, they save her when her crazy roomie threatens her and all 3 end up sharing the same space...what follows is a read not to be missed.
As things are heat up between, Fletch, Penelope and Shane to the point you need a glass of ice cold water beside you to cool you down. Penelope is gaining confidence and traction with her roommates and the two men, especially Shane, are loving it. Halfway through the book…Holy smokes...this author just brought this book to another level I didn’t think was possible and it’s all due to Fletch’s POV. Getting inside his head, seeing his POV, his emotions, thoughts etc....wow oh my wow. The three, Fletch, Penelope, & Shane finally bring their relationship to the next step and holy smokes bring a fire hose to cool yourself down, it’s that level of hotness, steamy but more than anything sensual and intimate….this author....brings the intimacy between the three to another level that had me devouring every word on every page.
Near the end…WARNING...you will need a fire hose or a tall glass with ice or snow to jump into near you while reading this book to cool off!!! The conclusion to Shane, Fletcher and Penelope’s triad has left me speechless and hot as we get Shane’s POV, the one who doesn’t do love, the jokester, the one who cracks jokes for levity when a situation becomes serious and to also hide his real feelings.
I am not into M/M romances even when a F is in the mix, I like M/F/M but only if the F is the centre of attention but HOLY SMOKES I am speechless and amazed how this author has changed my mind on this fact and it’s all because of this author’s writing ability and the characters who have so much depth. The steamy scenes are not only steamy that I needed to douse myself with cold water to stop from heating up but sensual...yes sensual...so much so that most times I skip or fast forward the steamy parts in a book, read them so so so many times in all the books I have read over the years, but HOLY SMOKES I read every word, line, page of their sensual times. But it’s not all of steamy sensual scenes, there is humour that had me chuckling out loud with witty banter, a shy woman who is finally coming into her own, an all around nice guy who is letting the alpha inside him out and the easy going, funny, nothing bothers him man who enjoys his women agrees to have just one woman. An amazing story of three people who find love, protect each other and stand by each other’s sides no matter what.
A story that is the best MFM, MMF romance that I have ever read!
Once again this author has blown me away and developed characters and a story that will stay on my mind for a long time and for the first time a Triad, all 3 characters have made it into my top 10 of all reads and couples...10++++++ stars worthy !!
Wow, this heroine is like REALLY in to peen...and honestly good for her. Like other reviewers have said, super spicy, super sweet. Not the best written piece of literature, sure, some certain word choices make be audibly say "ick", and I wish the POVs had been every other chapter instead of 3 distinct sections, but I giggled, I blushed, and I stayed up late to read this. Alphamallows. Who knew?
Wasn't sure if I wanted to read this one, just because I don't know if I love the premise of "young naive virginal girl who knows nothing about sex and is thought by her older roommates" type deal. It feels a bit yikes, but I figured I'd still give it a try. I liked this but I was a bit taken aback by the way the POV was done. I'm used to reading poly books where every chapter we alternate between the characters, that way we get their evolving internal monologue. But this one was different, they all had their POV except the girl had the first third of the book, one guy had the second, and the other had the third. It made sense when it started, but at some point I realized it was off balance. Because we start with the girl, and how she's feeling about it all, and we don't really get to know much about the guys. Then we get to the first guy, and he drops a line like "my political ambitions have nothing to do with this" and you realize that we knew nothing about his character at all because what do you mean you want to be a politician? like it truly came out of nowhere. When we are in a character's POV, we are so in there, we don't know anything about the other two besides what they perceive. Which was a bit odd in terms of pacing, because we get guy number one, and he's the first to realize that he might have feelings for the other guy, but he handles it almost like a non-issue, like "oh sure, I guess I like him then". But then we go to the other guy way later, and now he has to deal with his feelings, and the whole time he was the chill fun guy, and now he has to come to terms with these feelings he has, and he struggles with it, but he's also the closest to the end of the book, so his acceptance is kind of rushed. Don't get me wrong, I love quick conflict resolution, but it really felt like this was an "okay we are getting close to the end, quickly, accept your feelings and let's get back to having sex" situation. Speaking of, lots of that. To be expected since the premise is literally that lmao, so I can't really say anything, I went in knowingly this time. And it was hot, so it was fine. I don't know how I feel about this triad. I don think I loved them, because you can tell when I do.I think the POV thing is what did it for me, because it felt like I was reading 3 different things. I never got a hold of them as a unit, because they were each experiencing it differently. And I couldn't really get into them as individual characters either because we spent so little time with them. The book wasn't really concerned with that, like it mentioned how one character had his political ambitions and the other didn't want to work, but they were more like footnotes, it was more into the sex and how characters felt about each other. I didn't have a bad time at all, I read it quickly, mainly because it was so short and I wanted to get to the next POVs. But it left me feeling kind of meh about the characters, which is the most important part to me, so not great for me.

I saw ALL TOGETHER being praised on Twitter so I took a chance on a new-to-me author and I'm so glad I did! I absolutely loved ALL TOGETHER and read it in one sitting because I didn't want to put it down. Brill Harper's writing immediately pulled me in and then her characters kept me going because I adored Penelope, Fletch, and Shane.
Nerdy and awkward might describe Penelope but she's also insatiably curious and completely ready to lose her virginity - if only she could figure out how to talk to guys. Enter best friends and new roommates Fletcher and Shane who are all too happy to help, though they've never shared a woman before. Shane was cocky, flirty, and a complete hedonist and I loved every bit of his playful personality. On the flip side, Fletch is a steady and calm Boy Scout who always takes care of others; but when he starts playing with Shane and Pen, a dominant side he never knew comes out. Each character was really well developed and I fell for each of them individually and even more as a triad.
One of my favorite parts about ALL TOGETHER is that it's an exploration for all of them. Pen might be the virgin but a poly relationship is new for Shane and Fletch too and it takes a bit for everyone to work out the dynamics. Shane and Fletch have never been intimate together and while they start out keeping them all about Penelope, they soon realize they have growing feelings for each other as well. I also loved the way the book was divided into each of their POVs allowing us to see the evolving feelings, thoughts, and personalities as they get more involved in each other and explore new parts of their sexuality.
And of course the sex was HOT, HOT, HOT and my Kindle practically caught on fire from these three. As a cherry on top, Pen, Fletch, and Shane are also really sweet together and I enjoyed watching them support each other. This will definitely not be my last book by Brill Harper!
Well, JenReadsRomance does it again, throwing out a delightfully filthy rec that you can't help but one-click.
She's a student, there just two bro-friends who give her a place to stay when she needs it, in their home and eventually in their hearts. That's the nice summary. The sassy summary is these two bros realize she's perfect for them and they are all perfect together. I loved how the triad formed and how the two guys fell for each other too.
CW for a throwaway line about the girl thinking she was asexual but she's definitely not and I didn't like how it was used.
Basically what says on the tin but it was exactly what I needed to take me out of this rut of not finishing any novels. The writing style is nothing to write home about but it keeps you hooked to the page and the plot is pure fantasy. Bonus because I think it handles the fact that she is a late bloomer quite well and she is nerdy nerdy and the boys are truly into it. This was great, I'd recommend.
The answer to: what if a sitcom about a nerdy/socially awkward FMC and her two hot jock roommates got really, really porn-y?
This had me screaming with laughter, checking no one was reading over my shoulder, and a bit heart-eyed when the throuple/triad got their act together.
This was simply amazing! I could not put it down. I loved all of the characters and was glad there was only just enough drama to make it interesting. Greatness. Please read!
It seems to be a contradictory idea, a filthy ménage story alongside a sweet college romance, but it works really well. Penelope is a 20 year old virgin, a self professed late bloomer who started school 2 years late because of medical issues. Her best friend Jenna is pretty much her only friend. Sadly Jenna decides to go to a different college from Penelope, which means she is stuck with the room mate from hell. Everything comes to a head and Jenna makes a phone call to her older brother.
Fletch is Jenna’s older brother, a total boy-scout who looks out for those he cares about. His best friend Shane is a complete hedonist who makes sure everything is fun and happy. The guys descend on Penelope and get her to move in to a newly freed up spare bedroom in their off campus house.
The story is sweet and emotional and filled with certainty and uncertainty. There are conflicts and resolutions and there is much hot and dirty sex.
It’s a great book that balances smut with sweet in a careful and clever ballet of words. I loved all three of these characters so much and enjoyed their developing feelings that were revealed so convincingly.
Basically if you like some filth with your sweet, or some sweet with your filth, you are going to be happy, whichever end of the spectrum you come from.
This one came highly recommended by a few folks I follow on twitter. I put it in my maybe list for some day, today was that day and I kicking myself that I didn't read this one immediately. This one was cute and a big part of that was that all 3 of the trio had to work through issues to make their relationship be "ok" for them. When they were alone, there were no issues and things were perfect, it was only as they considered the outside world that issues came up. The other obstacle for them was for Fletch and Shane to realize that it was ok to like each other, to want more with each other, to cross those lines. Penelope was a big part of the boys being ok with things, she came up with the perfect comment that helped their relationship along.
I really thought at the beginning of this book, I would have to give it a 4.5 because it’s NA and I am just not that big a fan anymore. But about a 1/4 of the way through, they were pretty much just having lots of hot sex and I was 1000% here for it. If you liked this book, I think you and I can be friends. *Fans Self* There was a plot but it really doesn’t matter. The sex scenes are just WOW. If you have a completely filthy mind, this book is for you. Man. I am reading more by this author.
I actually liked everyone very much but no character had a depth😭 it was just plots written without any chemistry🥲 I anticipated the moment when Shane and Fletch confessed their feelings but that was the weirdest MMF I know. The boys had the book long hardly any chemistry even though they are best friends and suddenly it just said "in love" I almost wished for the first time that the best friends would not come together because the love/getting feelings was simply not written correctly.💀
HAWT!!! I live Brill Harper’s “alphamallow” Heroes and this one features not one but two. Story is a great transition for all 3 members and love that we get all 3 pov’s too. Another great story from this author
This is the best book I've read in a while! It was different than the usual in this trope and the romance to go with it was pretty awesome. Add to that that the steamy scenes were HOT 🔥 🔥 🔥.
Well… that was surprisingly wholesome and cute! The plot was absolutely just sex but I didn’t really get bored at all. I think it helped that the characters were just good.
Found this book randomly from a Facebook group recommendation. I honestly didn’t expect much from it, but I am glad I allowed myself to get sidetracked. This one was a delightful surprise. Not only does the virgin, nerd girl find love, but so does the emotionally damaged, free spirited guy and the tight laced jock with political ambitions. Best part, they all find it with each other, not just the guys with the gal the way these books normally tend to go, but a true complete triad. It isn’t one of those the guys are hunting for a woman to share and complete them things either. Everyone had to come to terms with learning something new about themselves and what they need and require for happiness. I liked that the author didn’t allow the power imbalance to remain always on one side in the relationship and that it was constantly changing (because at some point they were all inexperienced in one way or another with their relationship) until it hit a place of balance with the group and a focus was always placed on consent. This one has earned its 4 stars.
I think this might be my new favorite menage. It has a lot of sex, but a lot of love, too. There were some editing issues, but they didn't keep me from loving the book. I think I'll be checking out more from Brill Harper.
