Dear, Vanity: The Letter Chronicles

Rate this book
Vanity wanted a happy life after losing her parents. She struggled daily to stay close to God the way her mother wanted. As hard as she tried to devote her life to God, she wasn’t happy with her life. After seeing Echon, she couldn’t get him out of her head. He caused her to go against everything she was taught.

Echon has lived in the darkness for as long as he could remember. All he was ever trained to do was kill. Not knowing his true identity caused a void in him that he couldn’t fill until he meets Vanity. She was the sun that bust through the dark clouds that loomed over him. All he wanted was a chance at happiness with her, but he can’t escape who he was.

Will they both find the love and happiness they deserve? What happens when the good in her meets the bad in him?

This 2nd book in the series was a nicely written love story. This book showed how good can overtake & change anyone. Echon & Vanity's coincidental meeting resulted in the unknown as their different worlds collided. Compassionate, enjoyable read.

Love!

Vanity was shy, dating the son of a senator and in college living her life. Zelda was her crazy and promiscuous roommate who tried to get Van out more than once. Echos was a cold hearted black soul that hung out at his boy Qurans club when he wasn’t making a hit. One night Vanity stumbles into an unknown club trying to hang out and curiosity gets the best of her as she cannot get Echon out of her mind. Religion, love and murder all come together to build this love story. This is the definition of fairytales don’t last and real decisions have to be made when Echon leaves for a business trip. Van finishes medical school and Zelda finishes Law school and life is not the same. Loved this story...but the Author hurt me! 😃

Great Read!!

This story was so good and that ending was so great. It actually made me shed a tear because of who Echon turned out to be. I thought Vanity was crazy for wanting Echon in the beginning. He was cold and kind of scary but she was able to melt his heart and vice versa. The twist turns of this book kept me on the edge of my seat. This is why Mrs. Day is one of my favorite authors. Her books are so unpredictable and cause so many different emotions to stir that you never want the story to end. It was good to read about Tree connecting with Vanity and her son because of the bond that he shared with Echon. I truly enjoyed this book and would recommend it.

Mixed Emotions😔😔

I really enjoyed this book but it has me so in my feelings. I liked Echon with Vanity and I thought that they were going to get their happily ever after together but he had to leave her so she could have a life. I think Quran is foul trying to start a relationship with Vanity because of how close he and Echon was. I'm glad that Tree reached out to Vanity so she could have closure and truly start to live her best life.

I’m so glad they took a chance with each other vanity brought the little goodness out of echon and he needed that . What echon did was to protect vanity life and .... the ending had me in tears why Nona day lol 💔❤️

First time read

Cover is so simple, yet beautiful. It went great with the story. I love this letter series and it keeps you reading to see how not everyone gets the happily ever after, yet there's beauty behind the pain. Vanity and Echon were great examples of when two should collide. I'm happy that she stayed true to herself, despite the many obstacles. Great read, on to part 2

This was a great read💯💯. My emotions are all over the place😂😢😡😊🤦‍♀️😲😳. Echon & Vanity’s story was bittersweet and so deep. I just wish he had known about his son before he made the decision not to come back to her. This was my first time reading this author’s work and I’m impressed!!

Dear, Vanity

I absolutely loved this story... people don't understand the power they have in others lives. Vanity was placed at that bar because Echon needed her as well as she needed him. God works in mysterious ways!!! I loved that she was left with a piece of him in EJ. Nona Day this was a awesome story, glad you let us in on it!!!

Beautiful

What a heart felt storyplot! Darkness can be filled with light if you receive it! I can't believe Echon was Guap but I loved the back story of him and Vanity! Now she can live in happiness with a rememberance of Echon in EJ!
