Gabriel Lane is the son of an unbelievably flawed man who told thousands of lies and alienated everyone in his life. The only problem is that Gabriel had no idea what was real and what was truly hiding behind the curtain.
After finding out that his father, Michael Lane, was actually an operative for a secret sect called The Freemasons, and that he told fifty lies a day to avoid ever being considered a threat, Gabriel is forced to make his own difficult choice. For the sake of his mother, he has to become like the man he has hated his entire life, and accept that he is truly his father's son, "the MacGuyver of manipulation."
Another great graphic novel by Jeffrey Kaufman. I missed him at Comic Con this year thanks to COVID, but I have a few of his stories to hold me over until next year. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and was happy to see how it ties into his his greater universe of interconnected stories.
Liar is a great story all on its own and lives up to Kaufman's other work. Readers will not be disappointed.
Looking forward to seeing what comes next!
