i read this box set as part of an arc program. This set includes:
Take Me Back- This is a second chance romance between Amanda and Matt. Matt was Amanda's brother Brian's best friend and they were partners in a law firm. When Amanda moves to New York to work at the law firm, she is nervous to see Matt because she hasn't seen him since she interned at the firm nine years ago and they had a secret fling, leaving her pregnant. Amanda never told Matt about their son, and when she sees Matt again, she knows she still has feelings for him. When Brian suggests Matt show Amanda around town, he mentions getting her a babysitter and Matt learns about her son. When he asks how old he is, Matt thinks he might be his. Brian is a very angry man and would not approve of Matt and Amanda and that is why she never told him Matt was the father. Brian is having marital problems and it leaves him even more angry, causing Matt and Amanda to hide their rekindled romance. This is a good story from a new author. I enjoyed the connection between Matt and Amanda. I was glad to see Matt wanted his family, i think they meant more to him than he thought. I thought Brian really needed help and should have gotten it a long time ago.
Take Me Home- This is a second chance romance between high school sweethearts Gina and Vincent. Gina and Vincent dated throughout high school when Gina was a shy girl and Vincent was the bad boy who liked to fight and cause trouble. Gina was heartbroken when Vincent broke up with her and when ten years later Vincent reappears in her life a wealthy businessman who wants to sponsor the animal shelter where she works, Gina knows she is still attracted to him. Vincent sees Gina and knows he wants her back. When Vincent learns the mafia is now in charge of the neighborhood where Gina works, he wants to buy the animal shelter so she will be safe. Unfortunately for Gina, she has caught the eye of Gabriel, the mobster and he refuses to accept she is not interested in her. Vincent wants to protect Gina and prove she can trust him again. I loved this story and thought Vincent and Gina really loved each other. I lived that Vincent wanted to win her trust back and he knew how good she was.

Brenton was a nerd in college and was best friends with Victoria, a cheerleader, and she used him for doing her work and played on his feelings for her. When her ex=boyfriend attacked Brenton, Victoria thought he died and she has lived with the guilt ever since. Victoria works for a company and is involved with some shady things for her boss, who is being investigated for crimes. Victoria drinks every night and when Brenton takes over the company she works at, he has plans to make her pay for his attack by firing her. Brenton sees Victoria again and is conflicted by his feelings for her. This was a good second chance romance. I liked how Brenton knew he loved Victoria all this time and how he needed to ask why she left him in the hospital. They had so much to talk about and try to work through.

As a whole this was a quick interesting read. Usually read books with more indepth content, ihowever for fast reads this was good. Do caution the reader there are quite a few proofreading errors that make you reread the content to grasp what was originally meant. All in all still worth the read. (Reviewed by Lin)

As he jogged through Central Park, Matt Dawson almost tripped and fell when he saw his happily married law firm partner kissing another woman! Brian Fisher had a violent temper and was a super-controlling person, especially of his wife and younger sister. In Matt’s younger days, he had ignored Brian’s warning to stay away from his sister and, fortunately, they never got caught. Since his sister was living in Chicago, it was a non-issue now. As for the woman being kissed in Central Park, he decided not to incur Brian’s wrath over it for now.
Amanda Fisher directed the movers carrying her boxes and furniture for the past 4 hours up the 6 flights to her tiny apartment. Luckily she had found an apartment with a small bedroom for her son, Aaron. Soon she would be starting her new job.
Brian had seen Matt in Central Park and spent the weekend trying to reach him to make sure he wouldn’t tell Megan what he had seen. Matt had been avoiding him, not wanting to deal with this. Brian was not one you could reason with! So Matt just told him to make it right, and invited him to lunch. When Brian asked if Amanda could join them, Matt didn’t realize he meant his sister! He hadn’t seen her in almost 10 years and thought she was in Chicago. But Brian had given her a job in their firm!!! When they became the two sole partners, they had agreed to make all major decisions together, yet he had not said a word to Matt! Amanda was the only woman Matt have ever cared about – and now he had to figure out how to pretend she meant nothing to him! How were they going to be able to work together? And what would he do when he met her son whose eyes were the same vivid blue as his own? Even more upsetting, what will happen when Brian learns the truth!
The author has done an amazing job presenting the characters in this story. She has evoked the reader’s sympathy for the situation that will inevitably unravel, and has prepared the reader for how each character might react. The story line moves along at a good pace, while a slight tension is introduced as secrets wait to be revealed. This one is a keeper!

Victoria was not the nicest kind of person in college. She used the nerdy Brenton to help her with her classwork, knowing how he felt about her but not returning his feelings. She wouldn’t allow him to let anyone know about their “relationship”. When Brenton is attacked and beaten badly by Victoria’s boyfriend, he is out of her life. Until years later they cross paths again. Now however, he is a wealthy businessman and wants some revenge for the horrible way she treated him back in college.
There is much more going on in this story, but I never warmed up to Victoria. I don’t like people using and hurting others, no matter what the reason. Brenton is a good guy and even when he is hurt and wants revenge, his heart isn’t really in it. Will he get Victoria out of the trouble her criminal boss gets her into? Will he give her another chance to make things right with him? Enjoy the box set reading – it does pull the reader in for an emotional ride!

You get one of the best series by Summer Brooks in one box. You can’t ask for more!! Take Me Back is Summer’s debut book and let me tell you, I would have never guessed. By the end of Take Me Over I was a lifer. I really can’t wait to see what Summer has up her sleeve next!! 🖤😉🖤

When he walks into his first one he is shocked by the stunning woman standing in front of him, one he hasn’t seen in ten years. He soon realizes he may just have a second chance with the one that got away especially after she tells him who the new management in town is.
As Vincent try’s to prove Gina can trust him there relationship grows stronger and when Gina finds herself in some trouble she knows the only person that can keep her safe is the one who broke her heart years ago. Will she be able to trust Vin again and will he be able to keep her safe??
I absolutely loved this story. You know when a story is well written when the author has you laughing at one part, shaking your head or screaming at another then crying happy tears the next and Summer Brooks is one of those authors!! This is a short and great read with everything I stated and then some. Trust me, you wouldn’t be able to not fall for these characters while hating some. I’m looking forward to reading Summer’s stories in the future!! 🖤🖤

Should you not be familiar with her work, let's face it, she's amazing. Ms. Brooks sets the bar high for not only herself but as well as all Authors of romance everywhere. Each release in this collection has a superbly crafted storyline as well as realistically written characters you have no problem envisioning and you can't help but to follow along, from cover to cover, because you just NEED to know what happens next and the HEA certainly doesn't hurt either. Inside this wonderfully put together collection, you'll find and fall in love with the following 3 books;

A collection of 3 amazing short romances. They are each a standalone and full of love, passion, twists, turns, drama, deceit, anger, mystery and doubt. A group of stories that are real page turners with good relatable characters. Each with its own intriguing amazing story and very satisfying endings. I own each story individually but I love when stories are put into one book for future reeading. It makes it much more pleasureable.

Great set of books
This was a nice collection of the short stories. The three books were a cover to cover non-stop read for me,I couldn't put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed the three stories and all the characters involved.

Three very different books. The first one was ok. The second was long and drawn out for no reason. The third however was well worth the read!
