One of the finest and most indispensable quick reference works on mythology and legends ever published. Long out of print, it is difficult to obtain these days. Make the effort. Endlessly fascinating just for browsing, copiously illustrated, and for all ages. Absolutely recommended.

Always a favourite. Remember reading my granddad's copy in the '70s whenever we visited.

Great info on local traditions across the UK, and some good introductory chapters on different themes.

Fascinating, as Spock might say.
