I listened to this as an audio which is narrated by author. The overall premise is giving tidbits of advice to be prepared and take the leap to change careers, to “jump in without a net” and “let go of who you are to become what you can be.” I had written down many quotes that resonated with me-too many to share in a review. Ultimately we need to do what fulfills us and not what is expected of us.
I picked this book up having no idea what it was about. The author's navigation of quitting her job without a plan was fascinating, and I enjoyed the perspectives of the people she interviewed who had done the same. It definitely makes you think about your current circumstances and whether you should consider taking a leap.
This book found me at the right time. Tess shares her story about when her "dream job" no longer fit her mental and creative needs and how she left it without another income stream lined up. Her journey is honest, self reflective, and supported by conversations she had with other leapers. The book left me feeling seen and supported for making my own leap.
When I picked this book up, I had no idea what to expect. I was astonished at the enthusiasm and emotion put into this book. This was a wonderful book for me and I finished it within 2 months.
