This book contains two stories from the new “Familiar Tails” series. The first, Dogs and Suds, combines the two worlds of Amethyst and Everafter as Thor—Stacy Justice’s Great Dane familiar—meets Beast—guardian of the five princesses of Enchantment—for the first time. The two magical Great Danes pair up again in THOR GAMES, where Thor is forced to face an old foe—and an old fear—when a leggy blonde asks for his help. Spun from the popular Stacy Justice Witch Mystery series and the enchanting Everafter series, this new take on familiars will captivate readers who enjoy magical fiction and four-legged heroes.

4 Stars... Thor reunites with a sassy and spirited Gretchen who he first encountered and became infatuated with in "Emerald Isle"... When Gretchen and her witch find themselves in some serious trouble, Gretchen calls upon Thor for some much needed help... Mayhem ensues as these two team up with friends to end a dog fighting ring and round up the "bad guys"... A great mix of action and humor with some sweet thrown in as well... Another fun adventure with Thor.:)

Two stories and both were too short. I love Thor, but he deserves more story.

1st story was confusing. Other than there is a bar for dogs, I didn't understand anything else going on.

2nd story was a bit longer. The dachshund races were cute. But the rest was weird and confusing

Thor Games: Familiar Tales (A Stacy Justice Mystery Book) [Kindle Unlimited] — Barbra Annino (0 chapters) August 4, 2019

Included two satires: Dogs and Suds; and Thor Games.

These two shorties are a mixed bag, though as a set, not as good as the full mystery in Thor and Peace, but are still fun to read. The first involves a trip to the the Dogs and Suds where we are introduced to Beast who is very chivalrous, if not smart. Thor bails him out of a situation, and earns a friend in return.

In the second, which is the best of the two, a bitch from Thor’s past appears and he, Beast and Gretchen, the bitch, join forces to save a familiar’s human from his dumb mistake.

I really liked the second story and hope the author continues these side stories about Thor and his animal friends.

Four stars.

When a dog has to do what a dog has to do.......

Terrific little read. This one is all about Thor. With his witches safe and sound he visits the local. Only to meet another Great Danes and then the dog that sends his tail going one hundred miles an hour. Gretchen, a beautiful Irish wolfhound, who's witch is in trouble. Against his will, after she cheated in a race, the trio go through a portal to rescue her witch. Even though he and portals have a bad effect on each other. A dog fighting ring, men with guns, one incapacitated witch, a dog that has been fighting too long and a plan. Can he get the others to follow instructions, make the rescue and get out before his own witch becomes suspicious?
Great visualisation created by the narrative, nice action and well paced.

Well Wriiten

This was a short story of one of my favorite characters in the series, a familiar, a great Dane named Thor. While the story was short, it had a complete storyline with interesting characters. I think most fans of the series would give this book 5 stars. The only reason I did not was my own personal preferences in reading subjects. The storyline was one in which is an emotional trigger for me. I do not care to read about the subject. I won't say what it is because I do not want to give a spoiler, but if the author has disclosed it, I would not have bought the book. Also, the blurb implies there is 2 stories in this book, but there was only one.

Fun Thor book

I love the Stacy Justice series. This is a fun novella about a night in the life of her familiar, Thor. Also get an appearance by Beast from her Bitches Everafter series.

Thor saves the day--sort of

His human have him the night off, so Thor was looking forward to a relaxing night, drinking beer with the boys. Trust a dame to cause trouble.

An amazing dog and rescuer wouldn’t mind having him as a family member. You would definitely know that you were safe

Dog language. Hilarious writing from this author portraying animals as crime solving detectives! Thor, a Great Dane, is an amazing main character.

It was a well done mix of humor and mystery. Will Thor ever find love with some dog in his town?

Nice story. Witches with various animals as familiars lead very interesting lives. I've bread two short stories and will definitely go back and read them in order. Recommend the series.
