Source for Sensitive People is a short book describing how to build a positive, meaningful life. Beginning at the center of each person's life, the book arcs through the web of life that surrounds people and provides a path for sensitive people to thrive in a human world marked by conflict and crises.
Seeking to support the lives of sensitive people, the author offers time-tested approaches to cultivating a garden of happiness, health and abundance in the personal world of the reader. With special consideration for the aspirations and dreams of sensitive people, the book concisely outlines a journey of finding strength and stability as a sensitive, loving person.
Part of the Small Gifts for Sensitive People, Source for Sensitive People is first installment in the Circle Empowering Yourself trilogy. Attaining Fulfillment and Creating a Spiritual Center, the second and third parts of the trilogy, will be released in 2019 and 2020.
I am a sensitive person who has had the good fortune of having a happy adult life shared with my family and community. The early years of my life were marked by turmoil and unhappiness, much of which I brought onto myself. Fortunately, these hard times helped me realize that I was a lucky person in a challenging world and I had an obligation to use my good fortune to help those less fortunate.
After meeting my wife in the mid 1990s, I came to understand my own sensitivity and my need for inner peace and tranquility. I have spent many years in meditation and studying my personal world, seeking to understand people and the Earth around me.
While my initial publications stem from volunteer work with people in psychosis and research into the experience, prior to these publications I had written several books and essays. These earlier works seek to help sensitive people and express my viewpoint as a sensitive person. Since I prefer a quiet, private life, I set these writings aside for many years and spent my free time in community volunteer work and fulfilling family responsibilities.
After nearly two decades, I have decided to begin to publish this material. Though I have sought to help people deal with psychosis, I have always felt that I could help people in general, particularly people who, like me, are sensitive and experience our feelings and ideals very powerfully.
I plan to begin publishing the material in the fall of 2018 and continue to publish books, both fiction and nonfiction, for some time to come. In the past, I found that my responsibilities as a family man and community member, as well as an author about and survivor of schizophrenia, outweighed my personal ambitions to pursue writing. Now that I am older and some of these responsibilities have lessened, I hope to publish regularly.
If you choose to read some of the material I will publish, I sincerely hope that you find it useful and inspiring in your life's journey. We are all in this hard and wonderful world for a very short time and fulfilling our dreams of happiness, inner peace and outer harmony are central to a contented, meaningful life. I wish you well on your quest to attain these gifts.
Milt Greek’s wonderful book, “Source for Sensitive People,” is a peaceful, enlightening read. The book’s unique focus offers a prescription, so to speak, for living a calm, happy, and centered life. While reading the book, I was able to reflect on situations in my own life when I felt more or less connected to my spiritual self, and I felt a shift and pull towards unifying with the better way of life. Some unique ideas (how do we know that no two snowflakes are alike) had me smiling throughout reading the book. There are some lines and ideas I will never forget, such as pulling oracles in the morning and how to handle toxic people. Above all else, Mr. Greek’s calm approach to common human problems encourages introspection for a unique group: sensitive people. The idea of how not to be sensitive has always prevailed, but here is a book that supports and encourages a sensitive person to move forward with dignity and self respect. I would highly recommend reading the book, and I will come to it often to gain some reassurance and comfort.

Although geared to provide insight and guidance for psychologically sensitive people in their navigation though societal expectations and traumas, this short monograph has value for anyone seeking to live a more balanced and fulfilling life. The author suggests techniques and behaviors that most of us readily recognize, but may not think to apply as an organized approach. The book is highly accessible and can be quickly read through or perused more slowly, using the bullet points as springboards for additional thought or meditation. I found the concise and easily readable style quite refreshing for a book of this type, which can often bog down with too much information or repetition. Check it out!
