Police Officer Brooke Patterson is dedicated to her calling to help others, despite having to deal with the difficulties of being female in a male-dominated profession. To help her de-stress from her job, Brooke's friends talk her into taking a vacation the weekend before Christmas. The trio head to Clear Mountain Resort to ski, spend time at the spa, and relax. When they arrive and their suite isn't ready, the front desk clerk suggests they go on a sleigh ride-a new feature of the resort. Little does Brooke know, the last-minute activity will change her life forever.
After a difficult tragedy, Liam Davis left his life in New York City three years ago. He ventured out west to find a new life in a new place, settling in Clear Mountain to start a horse-drawn sleigh company. He enjoys his remote home and job. The simplicity of taking guests on tours of Clear Mountain Resort is the only human contact Liam needs-that is until Brooke Patterson stumbles into his life.
When a blizzard hits and everyone is trapped in the lobby of the resort, Brooke and Liam get to know each other. Their growing friendship is interrupted though when someone steals items from one of the guest's rooms. Brooke is asked by the resort manager to discreetly figure out who did it before everyone finds out and it causes panic that a thief is hiding amongst them.
Through the investigation, the aftermath, and the Christmas holidays, Liam stays by Brooke's side, proving to her not all men find a female officer intimidating. Some men find her appealing.
Can Liam help Brooke to trust again? Can Brooke heal Liam's broken heart? Find out in this epic Christmas romance filled with a mystery, faith, and laughs.

I enjoyed this clean Christian based story that is an addition to the contemporary Lawkeepers series. There is a great cast of characters along with two special people and some of their personal issues that will become involved in a relationship. This story has strong Christian principles and faith in God. While this is part of a series, each book will read well as a stand-alone.
A winter vacation trip to Clear Mountain Resort will start fun for friends, Brooke Patterson, Trina Vasquez, and Kristen Tucker. They arrive to check in, and their room isn’t ready, and they are sent on a complimentary sleigh ride, where they will meet Liam Davis. What is to be a fun, stress-free holiday will change quickly with a freak blizzard. The resort is at full capacity, but not adequately prepared for the power outage.
The plot will have a sudden turn in weather that will cause the guest to become irate and Officer Brooke Patterson to step in and help bring order. Brooke has been unhappy with many things in her life, the break-up with her cheating boyfriend a year ago, and the way some people at the police department in Boulder treat her because she is a female. What a pleasant surprise at the respect she receives from the resort when she takes command and calms down the guest. But then a nasty situation arises, and Brooke is needed to use her skills to try and solve a crime. With Liam there and familiar with the resort, he will help her as she solves the crime of theft, and makes two arrests.
The storm lets up, the police come to take away the criminals, and an idea is planted for her to consider coming to Clear Mountain as a police officer. When another day comes with another issue, she proves helpful again, and the offer is extended again. It gives her something to think about.
Liam and Brooke have a great connection, can talk comfortably with each other and share the pain and hurt from their past. Sharing that they are both Christians, and praying together adds to the attraction. She decides to stay and finish out the week when her friends return home to their families, and it gives Liam and Brooke time to get to know each other, including finding a church to attend.
“God designed each of us the way we are. Often, we view our flaws as our greatest weaknesses, but the truth is, God designed us with them so He can use them to help others, to teach us things, and to draw us closer to Him. Our worst flaws can be our biggest strengths if we let God work in our lives.”
As the week comes to a close and it is getting time for Brooke to return to Boulder, she and Liam must decide how they want to work with this new relationship. She has the opportunity for a job in a small town, with a man who cares for her, and already making new friends and finding a church. Now she must pray about it.
“She could have everything she wanted if she was willing to take a chance. Could she do it?”
“Life has a funny way of working sometimes. Take us for instance; I never would have thought I would meet someone while on vacation that made me rethink my plans for the future.” –Brooke
“I understand you being cautious. It’s probably why I’m attracted to you. You know—opposites attracting and all.” –Liam
This is a clean heartwarming story that brings two Christians together and helps heal the pain for the past while offering hope for the future.
SPREADING THE CHRISTMAS CHEER!!! Oh my! Talk about sweet. This is one exciting, sweetly enticing, intrigue, action, mystery, page turning tale that captures your heart and warms you right up. You get the drama and suspense that keeps you on your toes and heart engaging banter that lets you experience each character as their personalities begin show their strengths. With all the twists and turns, bumps and hills, the characters really pull you in and make you feel apart of team instead of a bystander. Jenna has written each character and scene with such realism it really pulls this little treasure together beautifully. Fantastic job Jenna, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
When two people meet at a resort, right before a blizzard, the story begins. Liam and Brooke are meant to be together. This was my first read for The Lawkeepers Series...definitely will keep reading. Good job!!!
Lawfully Dashing is a sweet romance in a perfect Christmas vacation spot. Brooke, a police officer, is vacationing with two girlfriends. Liam is a sleigh driver. All are trapped at the inn in a major blizzard. This story has great characters, some criminal activity, and lots of heart. Don't miss this Christmas romance.
Brooke Patterson is a police officer in Boulder. She's never had good luck with men in the past. They are intimidated by her job. She joins her two friends on a girls weekend trip to the resort in Clear Mountain before the Christmas holidays. The day they arrive a blizzard hits, stranding everyone at the resort. Liam Davis moved to Clear Mountain from New York, after an auto accident takes his wife from him. He is fascinated by Brooke as soon as he lays eyes on her. The more he is with her the more he likes her. Can Brooke find love in Clear Mountain? Does she really want to uproot her life and take a chance on the possibility of love? This is a sweet and clean Christian romance. I loved the story of Brooke and Liam. Even though I was given a copy of this book by the author, it in no way influenced my opinion.
Snowbound adventure! Based in a snowbound mountain resort, this story tells of a growing love between two people who have much to gain from their newly found love for each other. This book is part of the Lawkeeper Series and Jenna Brandt has written another sweet story, reintroducing some of the characters from the previous stories and bringing them all together in various adventures. It is well written and reads quickly and I am happy to recommend it to you. I read an Advance Reader's copy and this is my voluntary and unbiased review of it.
This was a fun tale that involved a mystery and a handsome sleigh driver that helped solve the case. Brooke was a devoted cop that had to fight her way in a job that is dominated by men. I loved her strength in the story. Liam is a handsome man that moved to the country to get away from city life. I liked how the Liam and Brooke worked together to solve a mystery. I felt like the story was too short to give any depth to the characters. This is definitely a book for those that believe in love at first sight. Overall a charming story that was fun to read and short.
This was a great book on love and laughter and learning how to get along with other people. The resort ,the robbery and the lost people. These are all things that take place in everyday life and the thought that prayer can always help when used in all situations. The love of two people who just met and fell in live only to know that it was short term until she found a job closer to him. This was a Free read and another good one from Jenna. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
This is a clean contemporary romance with suspense and a HEA
I attempted to describe just enough of the story to pique other readers interest but I am definitely not the writer Jenna Brandt is. She wrote a good, suspenseful (in parts), romantic story and I wasn't doing a very good job of conveying how much I enjoyed reading it so I deleted what I had written. I recommend you get a copy and see for yourself what an interesting story this is.
I love The Lawkeepers series and Jenna Brandt has continued with her series of excellent stories and characters. Brooke and Liam hit the perfect spark and they are exactly what the other needs. Sleigh driver is a long way from day trader and Liam is loving his reinvented life. Brooke loves being a police officer even with the challenges that go with being a female in a male dominated profession. I really liked this story.
This was a cute and sweet romance with Christian and Christmas themes that I enjoyed. There was some intrigue with a blizzard and it was fun to see a female police officer in action as well as see how difficult dating could be for a strong, independent woman. It was sweet and clean, I'd rate it PG.
I really liked this story, and would love to know more about the friends in Clear Creek. It sounds like the potential for good stories. I loved how Brooke and Liam had Jesus at the center of their lives. They show that prayer is very powerful and important no matter what happens in our every day lives. Very well done!
A lady cop visits a sky resort, solves a theft inside the resort hotel and meets a sleigh operator who catches her eye. Former stockbroker turner sleigh operator Liam not only isn’t intimidated but appreciates a a smart police lady and their extended weekend courtship quickly turns serious. It’s a cute, well written story that clean and depicts God at work in their lives.
I enjoyed the story, other than a few grammatical errors that briefly distracted me. The wintry lodge setting, the girl friends, and the way the main couple prayed together were highlights. I don't love when couples get all kissy within a day or two of meeting each other - not a great example. Chemistry doesn't equal compatibility or commitment. Or character.
Such a great read! Wonderful characters that kept me interested in story. There is a mystery plus love, doesn’t get better than that. A really great book to read in time for Christmas!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Brooke goes on a girls trip with two friends. Since their room wasn't ready they head out for a sleigh ride. Liam figured them for snobby city women. But funds himself drawn to Brooke. Then when all get snowed in by a blizzard they find they have a lot in common.
Brooke goes to a ski resort with girlfriends and a blizzard happens where they need her police skills to solve a couple of mysteries. Cute Christian love story. - Babs
Wow I love the way this author writes a passionate story. Each one has been different but yet connected. She makes it hard as each new is better than the last.
A lovely story, just perfect for an afternoon's read. It had all the right ingredients to keep you engaged and interested. The characters were realistic and not 'over the top'. The whole book was truly enjoyable; like a jot drink before a fire on a cold and dreary day. Perfect.
I enjoyed the independence of Dawn as she progressed through the male dominated career. Then succumbing to the strong feelings aroused as she found her soulmate. I recommend this clean romance story for the young adult reader.
I'm really enjoying this and all the characters and their stories. I loved Brooke and Liam's story. These two had a strong connection from the start and are just what the other needs. A really great read.
