He's only ever been a bad guy, but a human woman's love could help transform him into a hero...and a father.

Down-on-her-luck Delilah is struggling to make ends meet so she can provide for her infant daughter. Not for the first time, she wonders if she should try once more to contact her estranged baby daddy.

Mountain lion shifter Ben knows he’s been the villain in other peoples’ stories. He doesn’t deserve forgiveness and he sure as hell doesn’t deserve love. Delilah’s bright personality shines into his heart, though, and he finds himself wanting nothing more than to claim her as his mate and call her baby his own. With a dangerous rogue wolf stalking his new family, Ben is ready to risk everything to become not the villain, but a hero.

I LOVED this villain!

Okay, okay, a misnomer. While Ben was a bad guy in a previous book (not necessary to read that book in order to enjoy this one), he certainly changed since then!

I liked how Liza wrote him; outwardly, he was the strong, silent type and didn't have much dialogue. But it was reading what went on inside of his head that made him so endearing. He was trying really really hard to be a good guy, and I just loved reading him.

Delilah was also fun to read. I liked her upbeat personality, even as she was faced with truly dire circumstances. And I really liked how she was eventually okay with Ben trying to protect her. So many romances out there try to portray strength in women by them adamantly and sometimes aggressively refusing help from men, and I hate that. It's probably a famous quote somewhere, but the greatest showing of strength is knowing when to ask for help. In my opinion. But I digress.

Liza also included an intense fight scene that had me on the edge of my seat! Be warned that it's a bit graphic, but it was SO well-written.

Bottom line: If you like shifter books, Liza is DEFINITELY an author to have in your library!!!

I love this multi author group of books under the heading of Bad Alpha Dads. In this one we have Ben Channing trying to make amends for his past and Delilah a single mother trying to make a life for herself and baby Mackenzie( so not good with remembering names so forgive me if I am wrong).

The two meet when Delilah realizes that she wants her daughter to have the chance, she never had of knowing her father which happens to be Ben's deceased brother Chase whom he must inform Delilah of, then he gives her his number if she ever needs anything then she calls him.

This is how the story begins as the grumpy Ben learns to love a little girl and her mother while Delilah learns of the family secret. This is my first reading of Ms. Streets work although I keep putting her books on my wish list so when I had the opportunity to volunteer to read an advance copy I had to do so and I am so glad I did, I liked the believability of the characters and the pace or as I refer to it the flow of a story. No I haven't been compensated in any way for this opinion.

I've read a couple books in this series so I am familiar with it. Also familiar with her series Corona Pride. I'm really happy how it turned out because some of the CP series I liked and some I didnt. So, I was pleasantly surprised how well this turned out! I really like when bad guys get redeemed. Sometimes it works and sometimes not but this totally did! Both were strong characters but also soft. Not everything has to be a fight to the end and this wasnt and that was refreshing. Good job!

Good premise but just didn’t work for me

I really actually like this writers style and found the story premise to be pretty good. Young love gets put on hold due to some family drama and secrets. Most characters were interesting and relatable.
It was hard to decide between 2 - 3 stars, it’s a 2.5 for me really.
My major problems with it are that the part of the story revolving around the main female leads father and brother’s murder. It’s never solved/resolved at all. I also just couldn’t like the male lead all that much in the end. SPOILER ALERT.... He dumps her with zero explanation shortly after their first time together because his matriarch demands it. Then he ignores her communication attempts. Yet he feels justified being pissed she didn’t bang down his door to tell hims she was pregnant. He did all this knowing she was his mate! Then when she is back in town he’s still talking about hooking up with other woman and “bossing” them around in the bedroom. Uugghh. He was never redeemed from that.

This is Ben , Delilah and McKenzie's story . Delilah is smelling and craving the tacos , she is close to them and hopes she can get enough money to grab a few . Delilah is heading to a pawn shop with a box of stuff she is hoping will bring enough money to get what she needs for her baby girl and herself . While there the weird guy only offers her $50 but offers more for her grandfather's knife that Delilah did not realize was in the box . She cannot bring herself to sell the knife since it meant so much to her grandfather . While boxing back up the stuff that the guy did not want she realized that the knife was not put in but hid behind the things he was willing to buy and of course she gets it back . Knowing that she did not get enough to be able to get a taco she picks up the baby carrier and the box and heads to her car . A huge mountain of a man sees her trying to carry everything and decides to do his good deed for the day by helping her . Poor McKenzie is freaking out and this is hurting Ben's ears but he helps anyway . Once he is done he marks off another good deed done . Delilah decides to try to find Chase , McKenzie's father , and ends up parked in a driveway waiting for someone to come home . Ben is pulling up to his place when he sees a car in his driveway and realizes that it is the woman that he just helped . When Ben gets out of his truck and asks if he can help her , Delilah tells him she is looking for Chase . When she learns the facts Ben puts his phone number into her phone and tells her that if he can help in any way to please let him know . After Delilah and McKenzie hit their house , Delilah decides to leave the box in her car and just carries the carrier and heads to her door once she reaches it she sees that the door is not closed all the way and at first thinks that she herself must have forgotten to close it . As she gets closer she realizes that she has been broken into and backs away and calls the cops . Knowing with her door busted the only person she can call is Ben hoping he can help her out . From here this story takes off ! As Delilah learns about things she never knew about danger is stalking her . After she lands a job that is perfect for her she also learns even more about Ben and that he is not as uncaring as she first thought . Delilah comes across as one heck of a sweet but strong woman and her love for McKenzie and life is so well written that it feels and reads like real life !! This entire book is so well written that I strongly recommend it to all PNR lovers !! Keep an eye out for this author since her writing is so spellbinding that you will want more from her !!

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

It’s not often that we get to see a man who could very easily be considered the “bag guy” in a previous story in the Corona Pride series have a change of heart, attitude and set out to redeem himself from his past. So there are several reasons that as a dedicated Shifter Romance reader why I completely enjoyed Ben and Delilah’s story. There was a time when Ben did something so stupid, so wrong that it definitely classified him as the villain in an earlier Corona Pride story. Watching Ben come to terms with his past, to attempt to redeem himself if only through a daily good deed without acknowledgement, to live a better life than what he had gave Ben a completely different feel. Now, I’m always going to suggest that you dive into a series from the start… but do you have to have read the Corona Pride series in order to enjoy Ben’s story. No, you don’t. But it would be enhanced and would draw you in deeper if you had the entire back story… in my opinion. Plus, the Corona Pride is an amazing series, one that I wouldn’t want to miss.

Delilah and Ben’s lives are about to intersect in a way that will not only allow Ben to find his own sense of redemption, but bring three people into a new family, one neither ever expected to find. Delilah knows nothing of shifters, she has no idea that her practically new born daughter, McKenzie has shifter genes. When Ben’s good deed for the day included Delilah he never expected to hear from her again, even if he felt an attraction to her. The panicked call from Delilah put Ben right in the center of her life while they were in danger… but what would it take to convince Ben that he also deserves happiness with his mate.

Savage Redemption is full of intense situations, danger to Delilah and her daughter, definitely sexy moments, the chance to catch up with some of the Corona Pride members, fast paced action and moments that will have you chuckling out loud. So, yeah, Ben and Delilah’s story has a bit of everything that makes a really good Shifter Romance for me. I’m not about to give away spoilers, but you’ll want to pick up this story, especially if you’ve followed the Corona Pride series. I would definitely recommend Savage Redemption for any reader of Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance who enjoys a good story, believable characters, and watching a not so bad guy finally find his redemption. Loved this one and I’m betting you will, too.

The author gifted an ARC copy to me for review. This review is my own opinion, freely given and voluntarily posted.

I’ve read and reviewed several Liza Street books in the past, and there’s a few things I’ve come to expect from her as an author: 1) A nice, fast-paced, short-but-not-too-short read, 2) Interesting characters, 3) alpha males who aren’t complete a-holes, and 4) Realistic dialogue with little glimpses of humor here and there. Savage Redemption was pretty much exactly what I expected it to be...and that’s a good thing.

Now, Ben, the hero in this book, was actually a villain in another book in the Corona Pride series, but you can read Savage Redemption without having read other books in the series. This one stands alone nicely. The important thing is that Ben was a bad guy who now feels terrible about his past actions, and is doing everything in his power to make up for them. In this book, he’s an exceptionally nice guy—and y’all know how much I love a nice guy hero.

Delilah is a pretty good heroine, too. She’s a young mom who has been forced into an impossible situation, and she’s dealing with it the best she can. Her devotion to her little one is admirable.

So, why not a 5 star rating? It’s a little instalove-y, frankly. I don’t really mind that too much in shifter romance, but Delilah isn’t a shifter. Sure, Ben’s a super nice guy who does a lot for her, and he’s stupid hot. But she doesn’t really KNOW him all that well before she falls for him.

But, minor nitpick notwithstanding, this is a good, solid read from an author I’ve come to trust. The series is definitely 1-clickable if you’re into stories about hot shifters who aren’t jerks and the woman who love them.

Full disclosure: We received an ARC from the author free of charge.

Sometimes fate brings you love even if you think you don’t deserve it

Delilah and Ben’s story was so good. It is a hot suspenseful sifter romance that hooks you in, takes you along for an fun, intriguing, and sexy ride and keeps you captivated until the very end. Delilah is a human single mom trying to take care of her infant, Mackenzie. Ben is a mountain lion shifter who is trying to do penance for his past choices through daily good deeds. Delilah first meets Ben near a pawnshop where he helps her with a box. Later Delilah goes in search of MacKenzie’s dad, Chase, only to learn that he has died and was Ben’s brother. When Delilah and Mackenzie are in danger, they move in with Ben. The more Delilah and Ben spend time together, the more their attraction is revved up and the pace of the story starts picking up steam. On their way to their HEA, they’ll have to deal with a rogue shifter, come to terms with the ghost of Chase, and figure out how to have a relationship despite their individual issues. The story includes what you’d expect from this genre - fighting, fated mates, steamy encounters, sweet moments, dangerous situations, paranormal creatures, evil actors, loyal friends and family, tragic back stories, mystical coincidences, snark, plot twists, and laughs. This is book 6 in the series and while some of the back story relates to things that happened in other books, there’s enough explanation of the past to enjoy this story without having read any others in the series. I am looking forward to read more in the series.

Unmarried mother Delilah is struggling to make ends meet while she tries to raise her daughter on her own. In desperation, she tries once again to contact the baby's father. Mountain lion shifter Ben has been the villain in the past and so knows he doesn't deserve anything good in his life let alone love. When Delilah contact him for help he knows he has to help as she needs help and protection from a dangerous rogue wolf. Ben wants nothing more than to claim her as his mate but first he has to risk everything in order to protect his new family. Can he turn things around and become the hero who gets the girl like he wants to?

This was a lovely story that definitely tugs at the heartstrings in places. I loved Ben's character and the way he was determined to be good, nice and protect his family even though he felt that he did not deserve anyone in his life. Delilah was a strong and very independent woman and it was great to see her get some happiness and someone to be her partner going forward. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Delilah is a young single mother of a new-born baby when she finally finds the nerves to tell the father of the baby that he has become a father after a no-strings-attached affair. But instead of Chase she finds his brother Ben, who has to tell her that Chase had died. Ben, riddled with guilt for too many things, and worried, because Chase's baby is a mountain lion shifter, and Delilah is unaware of the existance of shifters. He gives her his phone number to stay in contact for help. The call comes sooner than expected and both their lives change from there on out.
A lovely story with a little bit of mystery and thrill, but mostly about two people, who have to live with their past and try to find redemption.

The Corona pride are still giving us wonderful stories and in this case we finally get Ben's story

Ben may not have always been a good guy in fact you could say in some cases he had been the villain but he is trying hard to change his ways and Delilah is just the person to change him forever. Delilah is a struggling single mum who will do whatever she needs to in an attempt to give her daughter McKenzie a good life. When danger threatens Ben will step up to try and keep her and her daughter safe and in doing may find his own salvation. Loved these two characters Delilah was so strong but knew when to ask for help when she needed it knowing that wasn't a sign of weakness. While the way Ben talked to himself explaining how doing things was redemption made me feel for him. Overall a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Very enjoyable and entertaining read. I really like Delilah she was very strong and independent. I also like her no nonsense personality, she never once complaint about her situation always trying to see the positive of things and working her butt off to provide for daughter McKenzie. Can we talk about Ben. He has a big chip on his shoulder he made some bad decision in his life, he also dealing with the death of his brother and feeling like a total screwup. He thinks of he does enough good deed he can make amends for all of his wrong doing. Overall a good read. I'm a total sucker for second chances at love story so I'm glad both Ben and Delilah got the HEA they deserve. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Single mother Delilah is at a low point of her life when she encounters Lion shifter Ben.
Delilah and her daughter McKenzie are struggling so she tries to pawn some stuff to get extra cash but one thing in the box she refuses to sell is her grandfathers knife then she catches the man behind the counter trying to hide it in the stuff he did purchase. She decides to find McKenzie's father but finds out he is dead but meets his brother Ben and they exchange phone numbers. When she returns home she find the door ajar and the place ransacked so she rings the police then Ben who takes her to his house for the night. A shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

Delilah's story is from Liza Street a new to me author, always fun to read "new" authors books, it like opening a gift the excitement and the thrill of seeing where the story will go and feel the connection with new characters.

What do you do when your one-night stand leaves you something more? down and out single mom struggling just enough to finally make her search out the baby's daddy.

Ben is known for his villainous ways (oh yeah loved him) he knows it but yeah. Things start to change for him when he stops to give a friendly hand to someone in need.

Of course, you have a bad buy with bad intentions, is Ben the baddest? what's going to happen when a the new baddie threatens what important to Ben?

Grab it and find out more of Ben and Delilah's story. Sexy, hot enjoyable read.

Just when you think there can’t be anything more to learn about the Carona Pride, along comes Ben’s story! Ben and Delilah are thrown together for necessity, but their attraction steadily grows throughout the book. The chemistry between them leaves them unsure how the other feels. When they finally act out their feelings, the uncertainty is still there. Will they ever make the decision to accept this attraction? This storyline is great and kept my interest from start to finish. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Another good Liza Street shifter book. I always enjoy them. Delilah slept with Chase and got pregnant. She wasn't in love with him, but wanted him to know about his daughter. She met Ben (Chase's brother) and he told her Chase was dead. She had no idea her daughter was going to turrn into a lion when she grew up. She was struggling financially and Ben helped her out. Lots of drama when someone tried to steal her grandpa's knife and Ben couldn't stand her being in danger. It was a good book that was fun to read

This is the first book that I've read by Liza Street but it, most certainly, will not be the last! I like her writing style and the storyline is well written with engaging characters such as the gorgeous and delicious Ben and the feisty Delilah. The dialogue is witty. This book satisfies two of my weaknesses in books - romance and the paranormal so it was pretty sure to be a winner. I look forward to reading more of Liza's books. This book was riveting, I loved Delilah and McKenzie from the start, she is a young single mother who is trying her best to keep her baby safe and feed. Loved Ben too. He is trying to make up for all the bad things he has done. He has to do a good deed every day which he marks in his calendar. When Ben and Delilah meet she calls him grumpy pants. He slowly grows to love them both and his task is to keep them safe from someone trying to hurt them. A very riveting tale of a man looking for redemption. I would recommend this book. I received a free book and the views and opinions are my own.

Delilah, single mom with daughter McKenzie shows up at Ben's home looking for his brother Chase who is McKenzie's dad. Finding out Chase is dead is not what she wanted to hear. After returning home and finding her home had been broken into Ben takes Delilah and McKenzie in. What Delilah doesn't know is that Ben and her daughter McKenzie are lion shifters. This has mystery and intrigue and a wonderful love story with Ben and Delilah and McKenzie. Great read. I received a free copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is a well written book with an interesting story line. The author brings strong likable characters in Delilah and Ben , gives them a slow burning chemistry and a second chance love. Brilliant story

Very fast paced and well written shifter romance story with lot of action ( only some in the bedroom ) a sweet baby, a mystery to solve misunderstandings to clear up and a broken heart to mend what more could possibly be packed into one book ? Looking forward to reading the next in the series, if it is even half as good as this one I know I wont be disappointed

She has a beautiful baby girl but is a single mom needing a job. When she decides to try and contact the father of her daughter and tell him about her, the whole world will change for her. He is trying to make up for the wrongs he did in the past. But helping a woman he just met will be more than a good deed. The story is romantic and the baby is beyond precious. Add in a rogue shifter and you even have a bad guy. A great romantic story for any lover of whiter romances.

Make it right

Delilah is a new mom with all the issues that come with taking care of a child alone. We see her struggle with insecurity, depression and yet keep bouncing back. When she finally attempts to contact the father, she gets much more than she bargained for. Ben is suffering thru his own depression, convinced he's got to suffer as penance for the horrible things he did but Delilah & McKenzie bring him a sense of purpose he's never had.

(This is a reread for me) I love the way Delilah and McKenzie completely turn around Ben's life for the good and Ben, in turn, brings love into their lives. Ben and Delilah meet unexpectedly when he helps her put a big box in her car while she's holding baby McKenzie. Then they meet again when Delilah goes to Ben's house looking for his brother Chase. Fate has a hand in this and the result is love and family although they have a few ups and downs to go through before they get there.

I really enjoyed this story. It definitely offers redemption to both of our characters for things that they feel regret over and wish they had done different. When Delilah reaches out trying to find baby daddy and instead gets the brother, Ben. This offers Ben an opportunity to step up and do something he feels good about. Delilah has been struggling with a bunch of things and watching them come together was great. This story pulled me in from beginning to end and I really enjoyed it.

First I love books about cat shifters add to that a bad character that ends up good and I'm hooked. This book is about second chances and all the things the guy is doing so that the girl he loves and her daughter to have a HEA. And I absolutely adored the little girl.
