Rowan loves this book, and it's a very fun and playful little thing. The illustrations are simple, without being lazy, and clear, while offering a range of little details and objects in each picture that Rowan loves to find. This opens it up to being not merely a numbers book, but also a good for object and action/situation identification (Rowan's very into seeing the kitty, frog, and spider right now). For as many time as we've read it together, neither of us tires of it.

Five Little Ghosts is a fun and enjoyable board book that follows the adventures of five little ghosts who are looking for somewhere to play, but we seem to find them in more mischief than anything else.

This is exactly the type of story that my daughter loves and it was even fun for me to read it to her. With its brilliantly crafted rhyming all the way through, it’s definitely not a dull story. It’s entertaining and keeps a smile on your face all the way through. We really enjoyed how each little ghost had their own personality and my daughter loved pointing out the differences between each ghost, like one wears a shiny hat and they are different colours.

What made this story memorable for us what that this is the first Halloween story that we’ve read together. There definitely should be more books like this around because it’s something that you won’t forget and can read for several years – depending on the age of your child. Plus there’s the added bonus of trying to find the cat and frog which are featured on each page. We had tons of fun trying to find them.

Patricia Hegarty has written this story perfectly and I would love to see more from her. Five Little Ghosts has captured our hearts and is perfect for any young child who loves reading.

Thank you to Tiger Tales for giving me the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an honest review.

At the end of a long day five little ghosts head home and find lots of fun things to do. They paint, play dress-up, make music, have a bubble bath, eat a snack, watch a funny show, and finally fall asleep all snuggled together in bed.

What a cute little story! The ghosts are adorable and childlike. Their curiosity and playfulness make their day a fun one! The text is short and rhymes. Recommend for very young children. Perfect for a not-so-scary Halloween bedtime story!

I liked that the ghosts enjoyed lots of different activities- everything from using their imaginations playing dress up to taking a bubble bath!

We read this cute themed book the day after Halloween. It was perfect for holiday.

This book was cute, and simple. The rhymes were clever, and my daughter enjoyed this book. It didn’t make her laugh out loud like some books have, but she enjoyed it and sat still throughout the whole book.

My infant smiled a lot while I was reading the book. He like some of the noises I made while reading, like when the ghosts scream and run from the mouse. The illustrations are colorful, which my kiddos like.

This super sweet story would be perfect for a Halloween night. It has eye-catching artwork, an adorable rhyme scheme, and cute story would be great for any little one. It has cute concepts, like ghosts who are afraid of a little white mouse, as well as little games and activities they do together that's perfect for getting little ones into the Halloween spirit.

Picked this up from the library for my 1.5 year old. She's interested in the first few pages, but then gets bored. Maybe a slightly older kid would enjoy the whole thing, but for her age it's a bit long. The illustrations are cute though.

Five little ghosts play during the night. Rhyming text and fun illustrations make for a delightful not-so-spooky ghost story. Good for young kids who like ghosts.

Countdown to Kindergarten: Letter G

Not much of a story, but okay for the letter G near Halloween.
