Each book in the Knights of Honor series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.
Award-winning and USA Today bestselling author Alexa Aston lives with her husband in a Dallas suburb, where she eats her fair share of dark chocolate and plots out stories while she walks every morning. She enjoys travel, sports, and time with her family.
Her historical romances bring to life loveable rogues and dashing knights, while her contemporary romances are light and flirty and sometimes contain a bit of suspense.

With order restored Richard and his army return to England, and then the soldiers begin their trek to their homes. Marcus and his men are heading for Hartefield, their home. Follow Jessimond and Marcus as they search to to be together forever, but know their path is not an easy one. 3.5-4 stars.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💋💋 Perfect! Alexa Aston’s Return To Honor was the perfect end to a brilliant and riveting series, one I have followed diligently, and loved from beginning to end. Her characters have become my friends and it really has been an honour to follow their lives and loves along with her . Jess and Marcus’ story was a wonderful end to the saga , I’ve followed this young ladies life , from her being found in the woods by Nan and Geoffrey to now, when she finds herself ,and hopefully her soulmate. And I can tell you it’s been a great journey. Now she needs separation from her family to go out in the world and see what happens , so she joins the mummers , a travelling minstrel group and becomes their seamstress and cook and many other things . Marcus is back from the wars in Ireland to find his Mother dead and Father with a new family, so he leaves with his best friend and he joins the mummers too , and that’s where the two meet . The story is adventurous, touching, and emotional, tissues at the ready . Just when you think you know what will happen, Alexa throws in something more . Just brilliant writing and characterisation, it can’t be faulted. Can’t wait to see what this author is going to come up with next , whatever it is, I’ll be following .

Can they get past their problems and rekindle the love they have for each other or will they forever live apart longing for eachother?
Alexa Aston is absolutely brilliant. I have been reading her books and following this series and it is great. I would not hesitate to reccomend Ms. Aston's books to anyone.
Alexa Ashton's well drawn characters come to life in the next book the series of her Knights of Honor. Two people come together in the least expected way when both have left home and are looking for answers. Jessimond was adopted when young, and although happy with her family, she wants to find whence she came. So she sets out and ends up with a mummers troupe and hopes to find love as they travel. Marcus comes back from battle to find his mother has passed away and his father has already remarried and has two daughters! Angry, he leaves home an finds himself with the same mummers as Jessimond! Yes, fated I would say! I loved this story and the road to their happiness. But is is not a smooth journey and there are many adventures and surprises. As in all of this series, you will not be able to put it down until you turn the last page. Do not miss this story or any of this series. You will be glad you did!
I so loved this series and hated that it ended. So happy that Jessimond found her family but glad Geofrey would always remain her father. Alexa is a fantastic author and look forward to many more of her books. So glad I was offered her first book in this series free. Thank you Alexa!
In the concluding story of the Knights of Honor series, there are adventures to discover and feelings to explore. The youngest child of the de Montfort family wants to take time for herself, while a knight needs to think about what he recently learned. When their paths cross, they will both have to do much soul-searching in order to know what direction their lives must go. All the books in this series by Alexa Aston have caused me much reading pleasure, as she makes every situation extremely believable while the characters are just as genuine. RETURN TO HONOR is constantly engaging with much realism.
Upon his arrival back home after fighting for England in 1395, Sir Marcus de Harte found much had changed while he was gone. Feeling in doubt about the new circumstances, the knight wants time to gather his thoughts and joins a troupe of individuals who travel the countryside and entertain. Another person with the group who also has questions about the future is Jessimond de Montfort, a young woman who loves her adopted family yet would like to make some possible life-changing decisions while meeting new people. Jessimond and Marcus encounter one another numerous times while doing various tasks, and each meeting causes their attraction to grow. But both are hiding big secrets, and what is concealed could keep them apart.
There has never been a moment in the Knights of Honor series where an occurrence could not be accepted as true. Alexa Aston always manages to have me easily envisioning any scene because of her colorful descriptions, plus every detail comes across as so convincingly accurate. I especially liked all the times where Jessimond uses her skills to take care of someone and the remedies that were used. She is certainly a very compassionate person, and her concern for others is frequently put above her own wishes. It was enjoyable watching her experience different things for the first time, as her excitement was so obvious by her responses. Marcus proves himself to be a true knight, because his actions were often self-sacrificing.
Since Jessimond’s family always marries for love, I wondered if she would be lucky, too. As she and Marcus come to know each other better, there are several cleverly imagined developments which could vastly affect their relationship. Ms. Aston once again comes up with an original situation for her couple to face, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how any connected incidents would play out. RETURN TO HONOR is a memorable romance that touches the heart and will long be remembered.
Jessimond de Montfort has always wondered who she really is. Her whole life she has been in the shadow of her famous family who has all found love with that special someone. Jessimond knows her true love is somewhere but the more she stays with her loving family, she is scared that she will never find herself, happiness or love. When Jessimond comes up with a great plan to join the mummers for a season her parents don’t want her to go but can’t stop her from finding herself and possibly love if it really exists. When Jessimond becomes Jess she finds confidence in herself and meets Marcus de Harte who is secretly a baron but is hiding from his past plus who he is. Jess at first tries to deny her attraction to him but can’t help it and falls further for him. Jessimond knows there is something about Marcus but can’t figure it out. Marcus also feels strongly for Jess but is scared to admit that it is so strong and is really in love with her. When Marcus’s past comes back to haunt him and he must finally face his responsibilities. Marcus wants Jess by his side but who he is could destroy the love they have for each other. Another fabulous book in this wonderful series! I really enjoy this series and love all the characters. The story has such depth and the characters are very complex with real problems. In this story though it is missing it’s completeness like the others. There are big gaps of time missing what happens between the characters and it felt the author was trying to hurry to finish the story that I begun to not really trust the characters. It wasn’t so much Jessimond; I loved her spirit, her willingness to help people, her compassion, her love for her family and Marcus. She was willing to bare all and even give up Marcus especially when she finds out his secret. Still I wondered about her what became of her life. Marcus was okay well at least he was in the beginning but as the book progressed I started to not trust him or his motives. Also when he was apart from Jess what did he do, while he was separated from her. Too many questions that were unanswered even though I enjoyed the story immensely. I am going to miss the de Montfort family and this series since this is the last book. I do look forward to more books by Ms. Alexa Aston no matter what they are.
This is the tenth, and I believe final book in a wonderful series by this author. In this story, Jessimond de Montfort is the youngest in her family, but she is “adopted”. In her day, that means she was found in a basket on her parents property and luckily her parents raised her lovingly as a member of their noble family. “Jess” is the only unmarried sibling and she is looking to find herself. So with the permission of her parents, and a family friend to watch over her, she is allowed a summer adventure with a traveling theater troupe. But Jess tells no one of her link to nobility, hoping to be treated as an equal. The adventure is filled with colorful characters, interesting descriptions of their lifestyles, and moments of humor as well as a heated romance. During her season of discovery, Jess meets Marcus de Harte, who is another traveler with the troupe. Marcus is the first man to whom she has ever felt a burning attraction. But is he all that he appears? Can she trust in a future with him? Marcus says he loves her.... The story also has a mystery or two to solve in the end, which it does nicely. It was definitely a page turner, and I highly recommend it.
Jessamine De Montfort is the youngest of six siblings. Although she has always been treated exactly like the rest, she knows she was adopted and maybe that's why she hasn't found love like all the others. If love can't find her, she will just have to go and look for it. Returning home from two years at war for the King, Sir Marcus de Harte finds everything changed. He also knows if he stays he might kill his own father. He needs time to come to terms with it all, so he leaves. Our strong and independent heroine really enjoys her adventure. She finds out a lot about what she is capable of and who she is. Will she find love??? Our hero is a good man with a lot on his mind. Pretending to be just an ordinary man instead of the son and heir of a Baron let's him relax enough to face what he has to accept. A very romantic and at times emotional story. It's part of a series but each book can easily read on it's own. Every one of them will tempt you to read the rest. I have loved them all.
Marcus de Harte has returned home after two years bod battle to find out that his mother died shortly after he left. His father never told him. Marcus was so upset and devastated that he turned and walked away the very day that was supposed to be his homecoming. Jessimond de Montfort was found as an infant in the woods and raised by Geoffrey de Montfort and his wife. Feeling that she was missing something in her life Jessimond traveled with a troupe of mummers for the summer to try to find herself. When Jess meets Marcus they have a definite connection. Jess and Marcus both have secrets and will have to overcome some difficult obstacles to be together. This was a wonderful story. I loved the characters and the story. This is a continuation of the de Montfort story. I loved the others and this one was just as wonderful but also a stand alone book. I will definitely recommend this book!
The adopted youngest child of the de Montfort children is Jessimond de Montfort, and she can’t seem to understand why she can’t find love like her siblings. She decides to have a summer adventure and joins a traveling troupe. Away at war for two years Sir Marcus de Harte has found life changed while he was gone. He feels he needs time away to decide his future and decides to join a traveling troupe. Jessimond and Marcus meet and each time the attraction continues to grow, but Jessimond doesn’t know whether to trust her attraction to Marcus, what secrets are he hiding? It turns out they both have secrets and they’ll have some difficult obstacles to be together to find the happiness their both seeking. These two come together in the least expected way, add a little mystery and romance makes a great story. This my honest opinions is resolved to build a school for ladies in after I voluntarily read a copy of this book that was provided to me with no requirements for a review.
Jessimond De Montfort is the youngest unmarried child of one of England’s most powerful families. Her sisters and brothers are all married and raising families of their own, and Jessimond wonders each day when she will find love. Her parents and siblings have all found love matches and she feels that it will never happen to her. With her parents’ permission, she joins a mummers’ troupe as a seamstress and troubadour. Also, in the group is Marcus de Harte who has just return from two years of battle for the King. Drawn to each other, they find themselves as friends and becoming more involved than they planned. But as events develop, they discover that the road to love is filled with deception and surprises. Alexa Aston has given us a wonderful adventure that you will remember and hopefully appreciate.
The is book 10 in Alexa Aston's Knights of Honor Series. This is Jessimond and Marcus's story. I was sad to realize this is the last story in this wonderful series. Over the years I have come to love each and every book. Jessimond was found by Sir Geoffrey de Montfort and his daughter Nan in the previous story and the de Montfort's raise her as their own. She received the same amount of love and family values as all of the rest of Merryn and Geoffrey's children did.
Sir Marcus is going through some heavy trials with his family and decides to leave and takes up with a group of performers for a while. He meets Jessimond and their relationship will develop, but will deal with deep trials.
No spoilers here, but I would definitely recommend this entire series! If you have not tried Alexa Aston as an author, please do so...you will love her and appreciate her stories.
Another magnificent story by Alexa Ashton! Every one of her books I’ve read has had a detailed, intricate plot, well defined & developed characters, and the warmth of commaraderi derived from a wealth of research. Return to Honor will make you laugh as well as cry through your connections to the characters and possibly even long to accompany them on subsequent ventures. I loved this book, but then I’ve loved every one she’s written. A true page turner you won’t wany to put down until the end. Can easily be read as a stand alone book, however you gain so much preceding history if you are able to read the others in the series.
A foundling, Jessimond has always felt loved by her adoptive family, but not as a full member of the family. Deciding to take destiny in her own hand, she requests and receives permission to travel with the mummers. She meets and begins to fall in love with Marcus, neither realizing they are a part of the gentry. Running from the issues with his father, Marcus had vowed to never return home until after his death. Jess and Marcus meet, fall in love and then a tragedy. (No spoilers, but it is a good one!) Jessimond does finally find out her origins-birth father and mother-which adds a huge sub plot to the story.
essimond knows that she is loved by the De Monfort's they have raised her to be as kind and loving as they are but she would like an adventure so she joins a traveling fair with her parents permission to find herself. Marcus is disgusted by his father so leaves home to get away he joins the fair where he meets the beautiful Jessimond. Marcus plans on marrying her until he finds out his father has made a betrothal arrangement.
WOW!!! What a way to end the series and that epilogue.... I’m still on the verge of tears just thinking about it. I have been on every journey the De Monfort Family took and enjoyed all of them finding their true love. This is definitely a series that I will be re-reading again.
I have enjoyed reading and following the family as they grew up and found love. Was so enjoyable to read a book were the whole family were represented, so many out there leave you wishing they would have something of the character in the story that was also in the book. I also like how the. Children had children but she did not write it so we were left with wishing to know how they grew up and what they grew up to be. It ended beautifully with the last of their children.
Well written. Characters are realistic and enjoyable. This is the last in the series and I'm sad to see the end. I love reading this book and the whole series. I fall in love with each and every character in this loving family.
This was a heart heavy read, little bit of a rollercoaster of emotion. I loved it. Beautiful and fitting ending...with just one question unanswered. Marcus's half sister?
They fell in love with one another while being part of a troupe and pretending to be different. Their love for each other was tested and they were separated but found each other again. They now have children and a growing family. They could not be happier.
Very good story. Things turned out different then I expected them too.very pleased how this story ended. I have enjoyed all of the books this series has.
