Melissa Barnes is a popular, friendly, sweet young woman who had goals of going to college, making something out of herself, and getting away from poverty; she did not want to turn like her mother, a struggling addict. Moving On Up!

Melissa cannot seem to get a break after her family disappears on her and then her aunt puts her out. She stays with a friend until she discovers her bf and bff sharing spit. With nowhere to go Melissa joins her friend Gabby on an adventure she swore she would never get involved in. All these girls are being abused mentally or physically so depending on a pimp is their next solution but Melissa has dreams. Aaron found out his best friend James and finance Faith are having an affair. Meeting Melissa is perfect timing but the haters will hate, James and Faith will try their hand at interfering also. Part 2 please because it is getting ready to be a party !

Great read! My heart goes out to Mellisa! When her mother goes missing and her Aunt comes and take everything and no place for her to live! Her so called best friend and boyfriend are sleeping with each other! Sleeping in homeless shelters is not a good look and starting to do things for money! Meets the love of her life and next thing you know she is feeling great until she gets a call with bad news! On to part two!

This was a good read. Melissa went through a lot in her young life and just when it seemed like things were looking up, a monkey wrench was thrown into the mix. I'll probably get part 2 at a later date.

Why can't the good ones ever catch a break?? I thought she was winning but I feel a storm coming on!! Why is James so hell bent on ruining James and Faith needs to go on somewhere!! Aaron is still WEAK for her...

You need some one to edit your work. The. English was not always used proper and words that you should have used was left out. But the story was good and I can not wait until I read the next book.

This book goes straight to the point. No fluff involved. Very short book. This story shows the hardships Melissa go through during her young life. Including family turning their back on her and her best friend betrayal.
