He’s a filthy beast, but I can’t stay away.
A ruthless, gorgeous mob boss.
A helpless single mother.
Their dark, explosive romance…
And the baby that it birthed.

DIANA

I’m a single mom with a six-year old son.
But I’m no pushover.

When notorious local a$$hole Ethan Chambers comes waltzing into my store with arrogant demands, I tell him to stick it where the sun don’t shine.

But pissing him off might’ve been a huge mistake.

Now, he’s determined to break me by any means possible.
And when he demands my body in exchange for my son’s life, I have no choice but to accept.

I never expected to fall for him during our brutal, bound sessions in his office.
And I certainly never expected what he asked for when we were done…

ETHAN

I asked for a favor, and she denied me.
Big f**king mistake.

No one defies a mob boss like me.
I’ve fought and killed more men than I can count to get where I am today.
And this curvy little fox will simply be the next to fall on her knees.

But having her killed might be unnecessary.
A waste of beauty and tempting innocence.
Maybe, I can put her to a better use…

Like coming to my office whenever I want and pleasing me.
With her sassy mouth and smooth hands, she’s exactly the type I like to play with.
She’ll bend, she’ll break, she’ll beg me for more.

But soon, pure pleasure isn’t enough.
I want something more.
Something to carry my name after I die.

I want a baby…
And she’ll be the one to give it to me.

The h is a single mom who owns a hair salon. She is barely able to make money. She can’t give her son variety in foods because she can’t afford much. She even took money from her friend to buy her son’s school supply. One day she gets an offer from a local mob hottie the H, Ethan for using her salon’s store room to store his food supply (drugs). The money he is offering will do her good.

But she declines the offer. And I LOVED her for that. It doesn’t matter that the H gets it anyway by using his own means. But thankfully the h didn’t made it easy for him.

But that’s were it ends I guess. The H blackmails the h and she ends up trading her body for his protection. He fucks her on the spot while his henchman or bodyguard whoever he is.. watches them.
Ew...
And it’s not just one time. This happens many times. The H and h have sex while the other man watches from sideline.

So the h becomes the H’s whore (her words). He uses her body and she enjoys it secretly.

Later the H confesses his love to the h. And she accepts just like that. I didn’t exactly feel the love. The h forgets every wrong thing he did just because he confessed his love. The love felt forced.

The writing was not that bad. But the storyline was. This book started off well but ended up boring and dull.

Quick and smutty blackmail romance.

A drug dealer and the woman he’s blackmailing fall in love. This is essentially just smut with a small bit of story wrapped around it. It’s entertaining. So if you’re looking for quick, smutty, and entertaining with s tony mafia vibe then you’ve found it.

This was a pretty good read that I liked. Diana is a single mother with a 6 year old son. When Mafia boss Ethan Chambers comes into her store and she tells him no he is not use to not getting what he wants and he wants Diana. This was a pretty good read and he gets what he wants he wants to use her business. I really liked this story but I had a problem this is the second book that I have read by this author when I went to write the review on Amazon it wasn't their. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.

Being a single mother hasn't been easy but Diana has been doing everything she can to make ends meet. Running her own salon while taking care of her 6 year old son doesn't leave much time for anything else. So when the devilishly handsome, but dangerous, Ethan Chambers comes into the salon with an interesting proposal, Diana is caught completely off guard.
Not used to hearing the answer No, Ethan isn't happy when Diana turns down his offer and he's determined to make her change her mind. No matter what the cost.
This book doesn't really have the typical boy meets girl romance but it's hot and steamy nonetheless.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

I loathe the main MC character. Someone who burns down shops, threatens children is not a romantic character.

The writing was great though and you're definitely pulled into the story but within the first few chapters there was no going back for me ever liking the main MC.

Bad story

I didn’t like this story at all **spoilers** the single Mom originally says No to a deal with the “Mafia boss” who, really is just a drug distributor. The deal involves using extra storage space in her business to hold his product. But after he forces her, and they fall in love, she becomes partners with him in his drug business and who cares if they get caught and go to prison and her son gets thrown in foster care? Stupid. I mean even in real life most Mafia bosses protect the women in their lives from being involved so they don’t end up in prison.

This is more like a 1 2/3 for me. The writing is ok and I don't have problems with the basic storyline. I read some dark romances (if you would call this a dark romance) that are a lot darker than this. I liked Jessie and Cody (secondary characters) and you can sympathize with the MC as a struggling single mother to earn a living and raise her son.

I didn't buy the romance between the MC and Ethan. Yes, I did buy the chemistry between the two of them. But somehow, for a woman who seemed well grounded, to fall for a guy who is treating you as a whore (as she terms it) and has been the author of destruction to her business and even threats to her son, doesn't really work. Ethan's sudden declaration that he loves her doesn't feel real either.

SPOILER

I also didn't buy the MC wanting to be part of the drug trafficking at the end. She is an independent business woman, even if it is a struggle to be in the black, who is trying to do the right thing with her son and her friend/employee Jessie. To go into drugs seems counter to her character. Never mind the morals of drugs, I wouldn't think she would want it anywhere near her son. The violence, the threat of arrest and imprisonment, losing her son to the state...just seem too big a risk.

Ethan gives her some excitement and a personality outside of just being a mom, but she just acts too differently when she gets involved with Ethan. How could she leave Jessie, who has no training as a hair stylist, to cut a client's hair? Ethan would realize that to be able to use her as an independent business with no connection to him, she needs to be able to keep the business running, not get a horrible reputation. Also, running to him at any time is unrealistic when running a business. He doesn't do that with his own business. It just doesn't make sense.

SPOILER Ends

There were too many things that didn't make sense to me or seem consistent with the MC for me to be able to enjoy the "romance" or the rest of the plot.

It was a pleasure to read this absolutely intriguing & suspenseful mafia romance.
It is about: a feisty single mother (Diana) with a young son (Cody) who is approached by a mob boss (Ethan) with an offer for a deal, naturally she refuses but is later forced by circumstances beyond her control to accept another kind of deal from him.
There is: mafia, a domineering mob boss (Ethan), a feisty single mother (Diana), her good friend (Jessie), law enforcement, enemies, danger, rivals, drug smuggling, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, attractions, propositions, rejections, intimidation, manipulations, blackmail, doubts, memories, desire, betrayal, conflict, murder, fear, shock, declaration, affection, happiness & some steamy scenes.
The plot is well-written and entertaining with some unexpected surprises, it definitely keeps the reader’s attention. The characters have definite individual personalities, which occasionally results in verbal conflict and react with varying emotional feelings to the situations that they find themselves in.
I really would recommend this mafia romance.

Not great

Diana was a single mother and a business owner. The local crime boss forced her into storing drugs for him . I am a sucker for anti heros but that’s because they can be bad boys but we love them anyway . Ethan was not likable imo. This whole story was a little weird in the fact even the heroine thought drug dealing was morally okay. Being good got her nowhere so why not be bad sort of mentality. Very mediocre writing and I caught a major mistake. The elderly neighbor mentioned her son Tommy to Diana. Well guess who the villain was .... and Diana never caught on. Why was this even part is the story ? Did the writer realize that she left that loose end or was it accidental. Loose ends drive me nuts . Also I can’t go for these men who are supposed to be alphas but they share their women or let other men see them in compromising positions . To me that’s no alpha . Ok rant over !

I truly enjoy the writing style of Ms. Zoey Parker. This is a romance with a happily ever after but it was not easy by any means. As a single Mother and provider to her 6 year old Son, Diana, is naturally strong willed but up against this Boss, she does not really stand a chance. Once Diana turns down Ethan's request, all bets are off and this powerful man will get what he wants and that is Diana... Anywhere & Anytime (an audience doesn't matter). You need to read this release from cover to cover to watch as their relationship changes; they have unbelievable chemistry but can love form from a threat? Read Filthy for yourself to see Ms. Parker's incredible talent. I loved it. Edgy & Riveting.

I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy of Filthy in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend this book as well as anything written by Ms. Parker.

Well, I was expecting much more from this book given the blurb. It was not written in a dual pov as I would have expected and although the author mentioned that Ethan wanted a "heir/baby", not once was this brought up in the book - so yeah, so what I was expecting.

It is a quick read and not what I would really classify as a dark romance. Diana is a single mom of a six year old son who is just scraping by and trying to keep her nose clean. Ethan is a drug dealer and when he asks Diana a favour and she refuses, decides to take thing into his own hands and blackmail her. Diana has no choice but to do what he says.

Not much else to say other than it is an ok read and I give it an average of 2.5 stars - thanks mainly because of the heated scenes. There is no cheating, written from a single pov (Diana's) and is a standalone with a hea.

Ok. There stars because it needed more.

This story was ok but nothing special, sorry. I did enjoy it as a casual afternoon read. The problem was there wasn't any passion or emotion to it. It really needed more feelings out into it. Diana was being forced into giving Ethan sex as payment for protection against him burning down her business. Yeah ok she cried a bit but it was all too clinical in the telling. And the way they both suddenly decided they loved each other! It was obvious the story would go that way but, apart from her admitting to herself she likes the sex and he made her come every time, that's as romantic as it gets. Told in exactly that way. Come on Zoey, this is a lazy effort.

Ethan and Diana's story is not for everyone, but it is a story you can easily fall in love with. A steamy sexy story of Diana, a hard working mother trying to raise her 6 year old son, and Ethan, the sexy drug dealer she falls in love with. Add in a little blackmail and sex from Ethan, and the story takes on a life of its own. The do get a HEA, but it wasn't an easy road for Diana. I have read many of Miss Parker's stories and love her writing. The story is good, but the reason for my lower stars is I felt that the story glamorized too much of the working mother helping a mob boss hide his drugs while raising her son. I would like to thank the author for gifting me "Filthy". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 3.25 Stars!

Diana is the owner of The Cut a hair salon/convenient store. She is also a single mother to a six year old little boy. Ethan Chambers is the local mob boss, he wants to rent storage space from Diana but she refuses. When her store is damaged in a fire, she is forced to go to Ethan. He tells her she needs protection and offers her a deal that they both will benefit from. This was a well written story with danger, suspense, enemies, intrigue, betrayal, murder, twists/turns, sizzling chemistry, desire, passion and plenty of steam. If you like mafia romance you will love this book. I voluntarily received an advanced arc copy for an honest review.

Diana is a single mom, who works hard in order to survive. Ethan is a ruthless mob boss, who offers a deal to Diana which she refuses. Due to unexpected circumstances, Diana is forced to approach Ethan, where he offers another deal which she has no choice but to accept. This is a well written flawless story, which is filled with action, drama, intrigue, suspense, surprises, and love. I was captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers.

Diana is a hard working salon owner. Trying to make ends meet to survive and bring up her six year old Cody. When approached by mob boss Ethan Chambers to rent space from her, she says no. Oh dear, wrong thing to do.
After circumstances change, she has no choice to agree but there is one added clause. She has to pay protection to him with her body. Ethan is quite rough with Diana at first but then things change. A fast paced story which kept me interested all the way through. Good story

Another 5*plus book from Zoey. When single mum Diana hadva visit from Ethan a boss from the mob she refused to accommodate him and much to her surprise he had part of her business destroyed, when she visited him he demanded payment from her in kind, she really didn't want to but thought she had no choice. Eventually she fell for him and her friend who worked for her and looked after after her son when needed didn't approve. A book you need to read

I enjoyed this book. I found it emotive at first and really didn't like Ethan, plus feeling righteous anger for the situation Diana found herself. However the character's of Ethan grew on me as the storyline developed. It was quite a quick, easy to read book, and the storyline had a bit of suspense and action along with some steamy scenes. Not my favourite book by this author, but still a enjoyable read.

Just ok

The description of the book did not match, at no point did he threatened her sons life. It also made it seem like he wanted a legacy and that was through her having is baby,it made it seem like that was something forced onto her as well. Nope. And how did a single mom, struggling small business owner become a willing drug dealer?? And Mr. mob boss, who has 3 people working for him all of a sudden looking for love. Will not read anymore associated with this series.

Filthy

I really liked this story. Diana is an awesome character, written extremely well and easy to root for. Ethan is a deep character that you love to hate, but end up adoring by the end. I gave the story 4 instead of 5 because there is no Mafia involved so the title is a bit misleading. It should be “A Bad Boy Romance” or something similar. Definitely a good read just don’t expect anything mafia to be involved.

Diana is just trying to keep a roof over her sons head and food in his belly when a mobster Ethan shows up trying to make a deal for her protection. When Diana tells him to get lost bad things start to happen, so before someone gets hurt she agrees but she can’t afford to pay. This story shows a mother’s love and a business mans determination so the mix is explosive.

This wonderful Mafia Romance is well-written, paced and planned. The chemistry between characters is smoking hot, with drama, twists, cruelty, and manipulations. The main characters are developed, and realistic. This is a sometimes dark romance but altogether entertaining and engaging. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

I love a good mob romance and Ethan is a man that knows what he wants when he sees it. Diana wants to be strong and independent but it is not easy for her. The chemistry between the two is very strong and I enjoyed the book. It delivers the heat I want and a storyline that kept my interest.

Larfners

What started as a payment plan ended as love. You see you can't say no to a drug dealer or other kind of criminal. It turns out all sorts of wrong expect in Diana's case it turned right. When you're a good girl nothing exciting happens. As soon as you cross that line all sorts of good happens. So Diana expanded her business and her life. She also found her man.
