“Emerald Vows, the third novel in the Marked Souls series” by Sabrina Shelley is a reverse harem tale where five sexy guardians have their collective hands full protecting and guiding an increasingly powerful witch...shielding her from those who would either use her for their own designs or destroy her outright... or both. Rory Bright ...of course...is only focused upon her mission..that of procuring a time-travel talisman to facilitate her discovery of her shadowed past. Will she succeed ?!? Will new enemies prevent her success...will old foes block her path ...will indecision be the implement that causes her vigilant guardian’s failure to secure her safety?!? Devour this intriguing story to discover for yourself whether her quest is victorious...or not. MUCH enjoyed..and Highly Recommended.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Can’t really recommend this series, the world and the storyline are weak.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

Good but I'm confused (spoilers)

First of all, I thought they left the one sapphire they had behind and it was too dangerous to go get it? She has it in this book, though. When was it discussed that Cassie and Killion were siblings? Why are we bothering to save Drew at all? The two times she slept with him it was because she was angry about other circumstances. Drew acts like a petulant child most of the time. I really enjoy the world she's created... I do wish that Rory believed in herself more and stopped leaning on the men as much. After all, she is supposed to be a powerful witch...she needs to be learning spells to protect herself and her guardians.

This story was good, but there were quite a lot of typos and a few glitches, like Rory's mother's name changing from Emily to Johanna. Makes me wonder if anyone proofread or edited this. However, the plot is wonderfully twisty, and the characters are engaging. Rory is confused all the time, so I guess it makes sense that I was confused a lot, too. She vacillates on her feelings for her new Guardians, sometimes alarmingly fast. This is one emotional girl. Even without the prison breaks and constant danger, the emotional story is a roller coaster ride. There's a cliffhanger, so I absolutely had to read the next installment.

I really love these books!! Rory is a great character and I really like that each of her men have their own unique personality. The world building in these books is awesome and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

Great read!

This book is amazing and sad! Rory has to face her fears and learns her guardians are keeping more secrets from her. When the chaos all comes to a boil who will walk away?

Love it!!

Such a great series so far, I really really hope by some form of magic or another drew becomes her guardian. Makes me sad that he's not.
