The Boston Terriers series just got better. Having read the first three books in the series, I just knew Trevor and Grace’s story was going to be extra special. May I say that the author, Jacob Chance, did not disappoint me in that regard. They story is truly special and totally worth reading.

Trevor comes across to many as a spoiled rich kid that can get anything he wants, simply because his father was a huge NFL star and he was born into wealth. But just because was raised in a wealthy home that shouldn’t define him, should it? But sadly it often has. Especially with Grace, a girl he really would like to get to know. But Grace won’t give him the time of day. Grace comes from a loving home but one that often struggles financially. This has her seeing Trevor through jaded eyes and she is always quick to judge and verbally spare with him and she definitely doesn’t want to date him. Can Trevor get her to give him a chance and see him for the man he really is? Can Grace change her preconceived notions?

This is a fabulous addition to the series. It’s an exceptional romance that will have you laughing at Trevor’s antics and smiling at the wonder of new/young love. 2 Thumbs Up for this heartfelt storyline, a 5 Star book that I highly recommend. You won’t be sorry you did!

Good sports romance

This is the 4th book in the series and I really like Trevor, the main male character. He's cute and he can be sweet and I like how hard he works for things. The lead female Grace, is strong and cares about the people in her life. I was a little frustrated with her when she wouldn't give Trevor the benefit of the doubt ever. She had a hard time seeing past her insecurities but I am glad that she matured by the end. It was also nice to see more of Brady and Harlow and Zeke and Amelia. I'm looking forward to Owen's story next.

Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of Jacob Chance. The Boston Terriers series is one of my faves. Football, sexy heros and smart, strong heroines...what is not to love! That being said, I just finished Tackle and am totally blown away. I have been anxiously awaiting this read and it does not disappoint. Trevor Lincoln, seems to have it all; he's not only a tight-end for the Boston Terriers, but he's also sexy, wanted by the ladies and the son of NFL legend Lawrence Lincoln. However, having a famous dad isn't everything it is cracked up to be. Trevor wonders if women want him for him or for his dad's bank account. For that reason he keeps relationships casual and girlfriends are a definite no. Then he meets Grace Duffy, a fiery red head who is not only beautiful, but smart, strong, independent AND did I mention she also plays football for the Boston Terriers women's football team? The chemistry between the two is instant and undeniable, but Grace has no interest in getting involved with Trevor who she assumes is a spoiled rich kid that has a new girl every week. But her resolve is waning as Trevor tries to get her to see that you can't always judge a book by its cover. "Whatever it is you're wondering. I can hear the gears grinding in your head, I'd rather just tell you what you want to know than have you speculating." With each page turn I was falling more in love with Trevor and Grace, both individually and as a couple. The secondary characters are rich and well developed too. Tackle was fun, romantic, swoon worthy, slow burn perfection. 5 stars!!

Jacob’s Boston Terriers series is one of my favorite sports romance series ever. With each new story I get more enamored and hooked. I know I say this with each book but Trevor and Grace’s story is something special, and I want to say that this is my favorite.... lol.

Trevor is Brady Lincoln’s little brother, remember from Penalty, and he is also a son of a NFL legend. He plays football on the Boston Terriers team and is basically expected to follow in the same footsteps as his brother and father. Trevor, however, has his own plans and wants to follow his own dreams. You might have come from somewhere but the destination might have changed basically.

Grace is the spit fire of a red head that catches Trevor’s attention. She is hard working and can hold her own. She also plays football on the woman’s team. Grace doesn’t want anything to do with Trevor and has her mind made up about him just because he grew up with money. Boy was she wrong.

It was so awesome getting swept up in their story. The banter, sexual chemistry, just all around feels. I got Tackled by another amazing story by Jacob Chance.
It is a stand-alone but if you haven’t read the others I recommend them just as much. Cheers to another awesome 5 star read!

Tackle is perfect combination of sweet, sassy and sexy all rolled into a perfectly wrapped story that will have you unable to put it down until you've completely devoured it.
Trevor is sweet, charming, funny and all things I love in a book boyfriend. He's pretty darn close to being perfect.
Grace is the firey redhead who keeps him on his toes and makes him work hard for what he wants. Her.
Grace definitely played hard to get, but Trevor's charm and hard work proved that she indeed was the girl for him.

College sports-related romance with both a female and male football player. Cute, full of fun to read banter with a little spice. Nothing really new to add to the standard we've all read many times over.

My fondness for the Boston Terriers series grows with each new installment.
Jacob Chance has a way to write sweet and sizzling romances with swoony flawless male protagonists.

Tackle follows Trevor, a popular, intelligent, handsome and as sweet as a candy football player. Son of a legendary football superstar, he's got a reputation but above all a legacy to fulfill.
Yet, beyond his sexy charms hides a determined considerate and passionated man. He is ready to do anything for what he wants even if it means challenge his father's authority and run after a girl who wouldn't give him the time of the day.

Said girl is Grace Duffy a fireball both in and off the field. Despite her reluctance to let Trevor the notorious son of a wealthy womanizer in at first, she soon realized that the two had more in common than what she thought. They are both football players, caring, helpful, good-hearted and have something to prove to their respective fathers.

Read along as Grace does her best to assist her father's sinking business and Trevor works his ass off to show his dad he doesn't need his money to pursue his dream of becoming an English teacher. While doing so, Trevor also happens to woo Grace by inviting her to coffee dates and learning to cook vegan food just to make her happy and win her heart in the process. He is a man of many talents no woman could resist to, although his heart has been tackled by only one redhead woman. Mrs. Right, the one and only for him.

I love this series! Trevor & Grace are total opposites & you will get to see how opposites attract. I do have to say that I was not a huge fan of Grace. I understand some of her attitude but to be honest, Trevor dealt with her attitude & coldness a lot better than I ever could have. I was happy to see her loosen up a little.
Although Trevor is a player, he shows you a sweet side & you can’t help but love him! I really have a soft sport for Trevor, especially with how much he tries for Grace!

DNF. I went into this book with low expectations and it turns out I was right.

1. Grace is super immature. The constant gripes at Trevor for even speaking with another girl..I mean girl, if you are that unwilling to believe that he has changed, don't be with him. He has to tell her every other scene that he was not flirting with another girl and that he likes her and no one else. It got really old that that was basically the main conflict of the story. But then again Trevor goes all caveman on her when she's talking to another guy soooo whatever..maybe I am just an old lady yelling at the clouds at this point.

2. Writing inconsistencies- Grace stated that she was 21 in the beginning of the book but in the last half her dad invites Trevor to her 21st bday party. Which is it?

3. Instalove ahoy! They know each other for a few weeks and go on a total of 4 'dates' (two of which aren't really dates) and OF COURSE they profess their undying love for each other right before they have sex. Because for some reason, in a lot of romance books, you have to say I love you to make the sex scene that much more romantic or whatever.

I just know that it's going to be some stupid misunderstanding where one of them gets mad at the other for touching a member of the opposite sex and all hell breaks loose. They will eventually figure out they are being immature babies and talking to another person does not mean you love them and they find their ~love~ again. I'll pass.

I have been reading Jacob Chance since his first book and am a huge fan. Each book is better than the last and I simply devour everything he writes. And his Boston Terriers series is one of my favorites. I love the cocky and arrogant men he gives us and then watch them fall by the women in their lives! Tackle by Jacob Chance is the fourth book in the Boston Terriers series, however, each book can be read as a standalone.

Trevor Lincoln is a man used to getting everything he wants. He is not only the son of a former NFL player, but he is also the tight end for Boston University. Women fall at his feet. He comes from wealth and privilege, but that does not mean things are always easy for him.

I have to say I absolutely loved Grace. She was strong, determined and lively. And I loved that she also played football for the woman’s team. She comes from a home where she is loved, but things have not always been easy financially for her. Because of this she is fast to judge Trevor.

I loved Trevor and Grace. He was a cocky man, but he was determined for her to see him, really see him. He had a way of getting through her defenses. They had great chemistry and a strong connection. I am loving this series and cannot wait to read more!

4.5 stars! Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.

Happy reading!

Son of a legendary NFL football player, Trevor Lincoln plays football for his school team, Boston Terriers. He's used to getting what he wants with his high profile and privileged upbringing and can get any girl he fancies. That being said, he wants to achieve on his own merits and although he wants to be successful in NFL, he has other aspirations for his future. Trevor has a bit of a front but underneath it all, he is a very caring, passionate individual. Grace Duffy is an extremely fiery redhead who happens to play for the Boston Terriers women’s team. Independent with a tough exterior and also a vegan, she's very focused on her football and education. Grace has no room for anything else but her friends and family, working hard to succeed.

When Trevor and Grace first met, there was somewhat of an attraction; however, Grace is reluctant to get too involved with him. She just wants to stay focused, but Trevor has other ideas. He does everything in his power to break down her defences and get her to go out with him. There begins the chase because Grace isn’t giving in but then again, Trevor will never give up. What I loved about him is despite Grace pushing him away at every turn, he continued to pursue her and it was never about the hotshot school footballer wanting to score another notch. He's really quite the deep caring guy who's very much attracted to her. Grace frustrated me at times with her reluctance to give him a chance and there were some moments when my heart broke for him. As I continued to read on and learn more about her, I could see she was afraid of her feelings, wanted to protect her heart, was insecure and unsure of herself. The people who mattered supported them throughout but like any situation in a college setting, bystanders were watching and gossiping.

This sports romance is part of the Boston Terriers series part four and can be read as a standalone. Saying that, I would suggest reading the whole series as there's a crossover of characters you'll become totally addicted to. Grace and Trevor are an interesting couple; I loved their banter, the chemistry, and just enough angst kept me entertained throughout. A lot of attention has been given to character development in this full-length novel written in dual narrative. What I loved more about this book is it wasn’t saturated with hot scenes, the characters' words lulling me into their world. The ending was magnificent and not at all what I expected, either. Give Penalty, Drive, Coach and this baby, Tackle which I can't recommend enough a chance. Oh, and one more thing, if you know musicals, you will have Matchmaker Matchmaker playing in your head “Insert laugh.”

This is another very enjoyable story, which can easily be read as a Standalone, but for those of us who have read the previous books in this series,it is yet again, another welcome addition.
The book blurb gives enough away,so I won't go into much detail as to all that happens,so not to spoil things, but I will say that (not to take anything away from his other works) Jacob writes the 'sports romance' very well-there is a good balance of the game details(I'm not a follower of sports but I do like reading in this genre)along with the rest of the story, that the reader is fully engaged from start to finish.
I loved that their journey to a HEA wasn't just a quick, hot tale...Grace doesn't fall for Trevor right away, and there are some funny interactions between them, leading up to the inevitable. Both of them do have issues, and of course there is some drama/angst along the way.Another plus point for me,was the recurring characters having some involvement in the story ,along with the introduction of new ones (meaning more to come-no pressure Jacob!)
All in all, with DUAL POV's,a well written, and thought out addition to this series, and I can't wait to see what/who's next!

I really like this series about the Boston Terriers Football teams( both of them).
I have been waiting anxiously since reading about the meeting of Trevor and Grace in the book Coach.
Trevor, the star captain of the football team. Son of the famed NFL star Lawrence Lincoln. He's from a privileged family but wants to succeed on his own merits.
Grace Duffy... spitfire, vegan ( lol) , hard headed independent woman and on the Boston Terriers woman's football team. You go girl !!
Trevor falls hard for Grace but he gets turned down by her. She's heard he's a player but is he really?
Thus book is such a page turner that will keep you engrossed from beginning till end ...and OMG on the ending! Never saw that one coming- good job Jacob Chance.

I love this Boston Terriers Series; Trevor and Grace's story does not disappoint. It's a real life situation put into words. Both showing a toughness to protect themselves from hurt. Being the son of an NFL All Star isn't easy, but Trevor knows what he want's to do with his life and now who he wants to spend it with. While Grace the daughter of a very homestyle restaurant owner is guarded and tries hard to stay away from the one man she can't stop thinking of. Their story is steamy, sexy and romantic. I loved the characters and friendships that continue to develop with each entry into this series. If you love football, you want to read this series.

3.5-4 stars for me

I enjoyed this story. Trevor's character was great - hard working, more than meets the eye football star. Grace was a super serious, somewhat jaded for her age female football player. There was plenty of back and forth in this one but you do get your HEA.

Grace tackles Trevor in a game of ball and not only does she steal his chance to score she steals his heart. Trevor has had a playground of willing girls but they like that he’s hot, he’s the captain of the Boston Terriers and he’s the son of NFL player Lawrence Lincoln. Not one of them want him simply because they like him, they are all shallow and like what he represents. His sights are set on Grace but she has already misjudged him to be the silver spooner who lives off his fathers back. Trevor isn’t so easily dismissed though he keeps on trying to break down her walls.
There are a few fundamental lessons included...don’t be judgemental, things are not always as they seem appearances can be deceiving, bullying is a really ugly trait and honest communication is paramount to any relationship or friendship.

Another addictive read! I love how feisty Grace is, she gives Trevor a run for his money. She is a bit stuck up, sweet and sassy all rolled into one, I even felt sorry for him a few times :). They had a spark from the start but she did not want to give it a second thought, school, family and football were what mattered most. As with all of Jacob's books I could not put it down and was surely not ready for it to end. I definitely enjoyed reading Trevor and Grace's story, and I recommend everyone continuing with the Boston Terrier Series I know I cannot wait for Owen's story.

SPEECHLESS!!! That ENDING!!! WOW! Jacob never ceases to amaze me with his amazing characters and how easily it is to relate to them! I always find myself feeling like part of the gang and I can’t wait to see which Terrier is next to catch the love bug!!

So Brady was my first chance hero and I loved him completely but I must say Trevor give his big brother a run for his money! He’s smart, resourceful, hard working and most importantly a good hearted man! Yes he’s cocky and very well should be but he’s not a jerk and he doesn’t take advantage! He definitely found his match in Grace and I couldn’t picture anyone more fitting for him!

Grace is a strong, independent woman who knows what she wants and will do what it takes to get it! She doesn’t just give her love and loyalty to anyone but when she does you know she will have your back no matter what!

I'd been waiting for Tackle since sexually charged tension between Trevor and Grace flourished from the first time they met. And I must say, it was a pleasure to see Trevor Lincoln finally fall hard for Grace, the one and only girl who was not fawning over him. There was no denying the attraction and chemistry between them but Grace was no easy feat. I loved that she was cautious, needing to know the real Trevor not the Trevor from the locker room talks and gossip. And I also loved that Trevor had to work for it for once in his life, chasing after Grace, getting her to admit their attraction, showing her that he's only into her and to give him a chance. I gotta admit that Trevor was knocking it out of the park. Gotta love a man who would make vegan pizza from scratch for his girl! It was so cute how adorably in love they were with with each. Another amazing read in the Boston Terriers Series by Jacob Chance.

5 star read!

I wasn’t sure if Trevor was going to win me over after his appearances in the earlier books of this series. Especially as the right man for our girl Grace. Having come to the end of their story I don’t know if I would have done it any differently. I loved Graces feisty push back and Trevor’s strong will to prove he was worthy. Again significant character development sprinkled throughout of the remaining singles has me eager to continue with the series. I also enjoyed the incorporation of the members from previous books in the series. Chance has done an excellent job of writing realistic characters, facing real world obstacles yet they still find a way to find their own true happiness within themselves and each other.

I must admit. Grace made me want to strangle her. Girl's got issues man. Trust issues.

She no pushover but she so insecure. She's lucky Trevor ain't not pushover either.

Well, it was a fun read. I liked getting to know Trevor, but I'm partial to Grace. Fiesty yes...but so insecure...I can't get over it.

I am a huge Jacob Chance fan and I questioned how his characters could get any hotter and more interesting in the Bosten Terriers series. I was blown away with Tackle and the main character Trevor. I'm not going to admit that this is one of my favorite's because I feel like I said that with his last book and I remember saying that no one can be sexier than Zeke. Well, Jacob Chance proved me wrong.

Trevor is every University cheerleader or just any woman with a heartbeat dream football player. It doesn't hurt that his father is a football legend and his brother is Brady from Penalty (I think it's the first book in the series). He has had his run with the ladies but now his interest lies with a beautiful girl whose hair is as fiery as her spirit. Trevor just needs to find a balance to prove who he really is while trying to win the girl that he wants.

Grace is one hot-blooded woman who plays football on the woman's team and has avoided falling for a guy like Trevor. I have to admit that Grace kind of was starting to get on my nerve. That also could be me just being all judgy and knowing that if someone as hot as Trevor wanted me ... I wouldn't have him waiting. I did love Grace's love for her family and her spitfire attitude. Will she be able to drop the guard around her heart to give Trevor a chance?

I loved everything about Tackle, I had a hard time wanting to walk away from reading it. It's filled with teasing witty banter, off the charts sexual chemistry, and a lesson in things aren't always as they seem. I recommend that you read every book in this series.
